It opens softly with grapefruit, bergamot and herbs, then melon, birch and fig emerge. It’s pretty and interesting, better than the Red. As is typical for Lacoste, the longevity and sillage are poor: under six hours and very faint. If it lasted eight hours and had more projection, it would be one of my favourites. It evokes parks or meadows, not a forest, with a very pleasant sense of relaxation. It’s youthful, perfect for summer and spring, for personal enjoyment, ideal for daytime, giving a clean feeling and perhaps suitable for the office discreetly, though I think it invites relaxation more than work.
It’s the least sold of the Lacoste range, perhaps because it resembles the Essential or the Booster. It’s pleasant, very green and fresh, but with little sillage. It didn’t work for my skin; I kept the Booster instead.
It smells like freshly cut grass, similar to the classic Essential, but whereas the latter feels synthetic, the Green is authentic.
Saying that ‘Abedul’ smells like tar is a serious mistake. Please fix this immediately on Fragrantica.
