It smells slightly aniseed with a baby powder vibe. Quite aromatic and innocent, which is why I see it as unisex; it would actually suit a woman better than a man. It’s a simple fragrance, lacking any real charm, easy to wear but nothing exceptional. I don’t think it would stand out, and honestly, I wouldn’t buy it. Made for a young, informal crowd. I’d give it 4/10 not because it smells bad, but because it offers nothing; it’s boring. For the price, you’d be better off buying something from Al Haramain or Lattafa.

  • This was my first perfume, chosen for its green character which sounded ‘correct’. I only knew what was on my dad’s shelf: Flâneur and Wild Pine. It opens citrusy but evaporates quickly to reveal its herbal identity of eucalyptus and mint; it doesn’t smell like toothpaste or breath mints, but rather mint in its natural state. As it dries, it retains the accords while sweetening slightly. It’s a green, noble fragrance for everyday wear, fitting perfectly into that sporty ambiguity. In the end, I gifted it away as it didn’t suit my style; I had already moved towards niche perfumery and this simply didn’t find a place. Curious that it has two pages on Fragrantica, one from 1996 and another from 2022. I’ve left the review here for fidelity to the database, as it’s the bottle I owned and the scent I know, though it’s most likely just new presentations of the Essential line with no reformulation (wink, wink).
