Descripción

Ck One Summer Daze by Calvin Klein is a fragrance from the olfactive family for men and women. Launched in 2022, this composition features a top note of kumquat or dwarf orange, giving way to a heart of tea and mint. The trail settles on a base of white musk and vetiver.

  • It has disappointed me. I remembered the tangerine of Summer Daze 2010, slightly acidic and sweet, where you could detect the fruit, watermelon, and violet as it dried out. Seeing they were releasing another tangerine edition for this summer, I got excited and bought it blindly: a huge mistake. The tangerine in this 2022 version is very weak; the musk, vetiver, and mint overpower it by 90%. From a dwarf tangerine, I didn’t expect a spectacular citrus scent, but the base notes don’t help the kumquat smell; it lacks a citrus top note and the dry-down smells salty. I don’t like it at all; it’s neither a cologne nor citrusy nor summery—it’s one of those you don’t know when to wear. I’ll keep it to see how it ages. If you’re looking for a fresh tangerine EDT, I certainly wouldn’t recommend this one.

  • Disappointing. Anyone who owned the CK Summer tangerine from 2010, with that acidic-sweet touch where you could detect the tangerine, watermelon, and violet as it dried out, got excited seeing they were bringing back another tangerine for this summer and bought it blindly. A gross mistake. The tangerine in Summer Daze 2022 is very weak; the musk, vetiver, or mint overpower it by 90%. I don’t like it at all; it’s neither a cologne nor citrusy nor summery—it’s one of those you don’t know when to wear. I’ll keep it until next summer to see how it ages. If you’re looking for a fresh tangerine EDT, I certainly wouldn’t recommend this one.

  • I went to the high street looking for a citrus perfume, returned home with many samples, and left them in the room. After a while, everything smelled like this perfume. I searched for it and found a little card that smelled better than the rest: CK Summer Daze, the cheapest and cheeriest one. I bought it; I like that it comes in 100ml, the price, its freshness, and the fact that I don’t feel bad spending it. Yes, you have to spray it on clothes to make it last; on my skin, it doesn’t go past an hour, but on fabric it lasts several hours and projects well. If you want something simple and refreshing for summer, this is worth it. It’s not a masterpiece of perfumery, but it delivers. I shared it with my husband, who also liked it.

  • Fresh and delicious, without being cloying. Its only flaw is longevity: the CKs seem like colognes, not EDTs, and given the price they should last longer or be EDPs. If you use it, prepare to reapply every hour; it’s money down the drain if you’re looking for something long-lasting.

  • Mind you, cheap comes dear. I bought it for the fresh scent it left, but the mistake was not letting it rest; after 15 minutes it smelled of nothing. I only use it for sleeping because if I want to smell something, I won’t achieve it with this.

  • Fresh and delicious fragrance, nothing cloying, but its only flaw is the longevity. CKs last very little; they seem like colognes rather than EDTs; for the minimum price, they should last longer or offer an EDP instead of an EDT that smells like Eau de Cologne. If you use it, prepare to reapply every hour: money down the drain if you’re looking for something long-lasting

  • Summerly and delicious. The mix of orange, mint and tea smells like a freshly served cocktail on the beach, like Barra de Tijuca. The opening is impactful and it’s a 10 on scent. It’s super unisex; my wife and I each have a bottle. Longevity is short, one or two hours, but it lingers longer on clothes; it lasts longer on her than on me. Only recommend if you catch it at 50% off with interest-free instalments.

  • Summery and delicious; the mix of orange, mint, and tea sounds like a freshly served cocktail on the beach, like at Barra de Tijuca. The opening is impactful, and for me, it’s a 10. It’s totally unisex; my wife and I each have a bottle. The longevity is short, one or two hours, but it lasts longer on clothes; it lasts and projects more on her than on me. I only recommend buying it if it’s on a 50% discount with interest-free instalments, like it is at this time of year.

  • Smells like cleaned orange and tea with mint, super crisp thanks to that musk and vetiver. It lasts about six hours, projects well and is ideal for daily wear if you use unscented moisturiser beforehand. The price is high, but on offer it’s worth it for parties; it’s youthful, unisex and reminiscent of CK 2019. Perfect for spring and summer if you like fresh citrus.

  • It smells like super-clean orange soda, with a touch of tea and mint that makes it feel like a fresh infusion; the musk and vetiver give it a clean feel. It lasts about six hours and projects well, ideal for daily wear if you apply an unscented moisturiser first. The price is high, but I bought the party offer and it’s worth it. It’s youthful, unisex, and reminds me of the CK from 2019; recommended for spring and summer if you like fresh citrus.

  • Very good, ideal for spring and summer. Fresh fruity fragrance and unisex: tangerine, mint and tea, just as they say. It’s simple, rich, relaxing and light. I use it for the gym and informal daytime outings. It brought me an unforgettable compliment, which is why I love it. Being a 2022 summer release, it’s very hard to come by. I’d buy it again. 8/10.

I wear it for the gym and informal days. It brought me an unforgettable compliment, which is why I love it; being a 2022 summer scent, it’s rarely seen. I would buy it again. 8/10

I don’t know much about perfumes, but this is one of my summer favourites. It smells like orange and super refreshing, crisp mint, like those orange Vitamin C tablets. I use it in summer for work or the beach. In the heat, it invites you to smell it and is truly energising. The downside is that, as is usual with all CK, it lasts a breath and projects nothing. It’s more for feeling fresh and clean in the heat, on a personal level. 7/10.

It smells like Fruna orange ice cream. It’s not a bad fragrance, but I don’t dare go around smelling like ice cream with legs.

  • mentadamaris

My sister gave it to me because she says it leaves a strange aftertaste with her tobacco smoke, but I’ve loved it. It smells like orange peel, those dwarf oranges that are pure skin. Then it refreshes with tea and mint, like a summer iced tea with slices and ice. In the end, after hours, it smells like Calvin Klein: fresh, dry, and unisex. I say it’s good all year round because there’s always a moment to smell clean and fresh; where I live, we hardly drop below 18°C, so 16°C is already quite cold. I like it, the bottle is pretty and smells good… Longevity: about four hours on my skin. If you like fresh citrus, herbal, and summer scents, you might like it!

  • mentadamaris

My sister gifted it to me, though she says the tobacco note suits her oddly. It surprised me: it smells like clementine peel, super citrusy. Then it refreshes with tea and mint, like an iced summer tea with slices and ice. By the end, the base is very CK: fresh, dry, and unisex. For me, there’s always a moment to smell clean, and where I live we never drop below 18°C, so I use it all year. The bottle is handsome, it smells great, but it lasts about four hours. If you like fresh citrus and herbal scents, you might adore it.

It’s my first CK flanker and buying it blind was a total success. As it’s hard to find round here, I picked up two. If you’re looking for more longevity and intensity, let it macerate for a while; the difference is noticeable straight away.
