  Even though it’s a flanker, it has nothing to do with the original Eternity. At first, the iris and geranium stand out, reminding one greatly of Dior Homme. Intense has its own personality; in the dry-down, the rhubarb note takes a different direction and gives a slight sweetness that distinguishes it. After 6-8 hours, iris, geranium, lavender, wood, grapefruit, and cashmere dominate. I think it’s a good choice if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative to Dior Homme and enjoy CK fragrances.

  I bought this blind, thinking it would be a more modern Eternity. They aren’t the same, though it may recall that style at first. I spent the whole day wondering what it reminded me of. Curiosity killed the cat, so I checked FragranceNet, and yes, it has echoes of the Dior Homme family. One reason for buying it was the tea note, but I found nothing else. It smells of deep grass, like a forest green tone (due to the vetiver), with a dry, spicy citrus (bergamot) and lavender pushed to the limit. Does it sound familiar? Yes, here it comes: Hugo Boss Bottle Night. Look, they aren’t identical, but they are distant cousins. The combination sounds rich but doesn’t click in reality. It seems like a bland mixture. I wouldn’t recommend buying it blind.

  I managed to grab a 2019 batch for a deal of $10 for 50ml. Upon spraying, I liked the scent: it starts very much like Dior Homme, then shifts to green notes with a creamy base of cedar and cashmere after 15 or 20 minutes. I’ve enjoyed it, have no issue with it lasting 3 or 4 hours with a bit of reapplication, and carry it in my rucksack without any problems.

  I prefer this Intense version over the original. As they say, it smells like Dior Homme Eau at first. I picked up a 2016 batch of 50ml with a green opening and a creamy dry-down. I’ve worn it in autumn and winter, and it’s simply luxurious.
