Man by Calvin Klein

Fresh and cool at first, but it’s all evaporated after two hours.

A herbal and camphoraceous scent accompanied by a prominent nut note that makes it rich. However, it’s not one of my favourites and I don’t wear it beyond being at home. It shares the weaknesses and strengths of the rest of the CK range. Scent 7/10, Projection 5/10, Longevity 6/10, Quality 7/10, Price 9/10.

I tried to get used to the scent, but I couldn’t. It smells of herbs, which I don’t like, so if it’s a cheap perfume, it’s not worth it.

I own it and it smells nice, but it just doesn’t quite convince me; it’s not my style. I see it for people aged thirty and up. It’s not that it’s not youthful, but the scent isn’t mature enough to fill me. Still, I use it occasionally, but it’s one of the last I reach for. Mind you, I’m not saying it’s bad; it is good, but it just doesn’t suit me. On another note, in my opinion, the price is excessive; they’re charging three hundred towns. That said, I won’t buy it again; I prefer the Calvin Klein Be which I adore how it smells. Although its intensity and longevity are brief, it fits my style much better.

Calvin Klein Man: A fragrance with very low performance; it falls short in everything: scent, performance, charm, originality and even presentation. Being a fragrance called ‘Man’, it should be undeniably masculine, full of testosterone, strong, virile and sexual. Instead, it’s shy, introverted and worst of all, lacking any magic. To my taste, it’s among the worst I’ve tried from this house; it sins by being a forgettable, synthetic scent with very discreet performance. Good or bad fragrances can exist, but not tepid ones; this is precisely that, neither good nor bad, totally forgettable and irrelevant. It doesn’t smell bad, it’s not awful, but it’s a bland scent without personality. The best thing is its dry-down, which is painfully faint right up against the skin. As a brand like Calvin Klein, they’re obliged to leave a mark and this one didn’t. I can’t find a single millimetre of resemblance to Dior Fahrenheit. Scent: 7.0 Projection: 5.0 Longevity: 6.0 Not recommended.

At first, you notice the alcohol, but it’s fleeting. Then, in the opening, violets, laurel, and incense take the lead. You catch the scent of tangerine and a subtle mint; it’s a green blend with woods. A classy, elegant masculine fragrance.

At first it’s super alcoholic, then it settles quickly and becomes enjoyable: soft and not intrusive, but its projection calls for reapplication. It’s not a wonder, but it doesn’t offend. It’s slightly sweet, pleasant, elegant and ethereal, but doesn’t stand out especially. It’s comfortable to wear. Its main problem is that it only smells right up against the skin and you have to use half a bottle to catch a whiff.

I noticed violets in the fragrance and didn’t like it. When I checked the notes a few days later, I confirmed they were there, which is why it didn’t convince me.

Exquisite, though I’d wear it again on my skin. I have a hunch its only flaw is longevity. Calvin Klein definitely thinks with my head and smells with my nose.

The perfume and its longevity are excellent. The citrus note is outstanding, the woods are very good, and the violet and mint notes are delicious. Highly recommended for young men and those beyond.
