A colleague wore it and every time I smelled it, I stopped to talk, even if it was nonsense. I’d say you smell good, hug them, and didn’t want to let go. That’s what this perfume does to me; we no longer work together. Back to the point, I love smelling it on a man; wow, it’s sensual.
I never bothered buying Lacoste due to the bad comments about sillage and longevity. Finally, at the perfumerie, they showed me Lacoste Red; the scent seemed pleasant so I decided to try it. Conclusion: the opening is indeed full of green apple and pine from the start; a good combination, but over time it becomes tiring and linear. The vetiver and patchouli are noticeable at the end but very faintly, with apple and pine as the protagonists. Longevity is good, around 8 hours on my skin; sillage is moderate at first and skin-scent at the end. Applying it to clothes helps. Suitable for daytime use, intermediate climates, informal occasions, or the office; it’s not intense.
I think many people get confused with this fragrance. I was too until I figured out the differences. Many believe Lacoste Red is the same as Style and Play or Pop Edition Red. They are very different; they only resemble each other in the opening green apple, which is stronger in Pop Edition with vetiver and patchouli at the base. In Style and Play, the apple is soft, almost non-existent. If I had to choose, I prefer Pop Edition for the stronger pine that blends brilliantly with the green apple. Very fresh, tropical feel. But I insist, Lacoste fails on longevity and sillage.
I never felt brave trying Lacoste due to comments about longevity and sillage, until I tried Lacoste Red in the perfumery and liked it. The opening features green apple and pine from the start, a good combination that becomes slightly tiring and linear over time. Vetiver and patchouli are noticeable at the end but very soft; apple and pine remain the protagonists. Lasts around 8 hours on my skin, sillage starts moderate then becomes skin scent; it lasts better on clothes. Ideal for daytime, intermediate weather, informal occasions, or the office as it’s not intense.
Does anyone know if there’s a Lacoste Red for women or something similar? I’ve heard it mentioned by several girls but I’m not sure which one it is. And speaking of Lacoste Red, it’s very sexy; you get the urge not to let go of the hug because it smells muuuy good.
I see it as unisex. Longevity is very durable at 11 hours, and the sillage is noticeable. The apple scent is very original and doesn’t go unnoticed.
I tried it on recommendation, but it smells odd and I don’t like it. Years ago people said it was like Million, but there’s nothing alike. The price is decent and it doesn’t smell cheap, but it’s too sweet and strange—literally very much apple.
I tried it on recommendation and it smells odd, not to my taste. Years ago they said it was like Million and how good, but not at all. It has a decent price, doesn’t smell cheap, but is too sweet and odd, literally smells very much of apple.
Good longevity, though not for the office; better suited for autumn/winter on rainy afternoons. It’s youthful and women like it. I might buy it again. Age: 25 to 35 years.
Smells rich and women love it on men; they find it sensual. Suitable for intermediate climates. On my skin, it lasts between 8 and 10 hours. It didn’t grab me at first, but over time I’ve come to like it quite a bit.
Fresh and direct: a simple formula with medium-intensity citrus, nothing scandalous but distinctive. The sweet apple joins pine for a clean, pleasant scent; woods fix it without being heavy, and the patchouli with pine adds richness. The fixative isn’t top-tier and projection is moderate, but it’s ideal for the beach, office, or casual wear. Shines in spring/summer during the day, or at night if it’s not cold. Might need reapplying, but the price and 125ml make it a safe buy. Sprays: 7-10. Fixative: 7. Sillage: light. Intensity: medium-low.
Fresh and direct: a straightforward formula with a medium citrus and sweet apple that blends quickly with pine for a clean, pleasant scent. The woods fix it without being overwhelming, although the longevity isn’t top-tier and the projection is moderate; perfect for the beach, office, or casual wear, making it very versatile. It shines in spring/summer during the day, and only at night if it’s not too cold. Requires reapplication, but the price and the 125ml bottle make it worthwhile. Sprays: 7-10. Longevity: 7. Sillage: light. Intensity: medium-low.
Ideal for summer and for the day. The green apple aroma gives a permanent sense of freshness. Good longevity and good trail. It’s part of my collection.🌎
A great Lacoste perfume that never fails; I’ve had several bottles over the years and that apple scent is incredible, highly recommended.
A great Lacoste fragrance; it never fails. I had several bottles a few years ago and that apple scent is incredible. Highly recommended.
A fragrance to buy blind: very well-received, fresh and clean, suitable for everyday wear. Some find it sexy and so do I. Recommended.
A fragrance to buy blindly. It suits almost everyone, very fresh and clean. It can be worn every day. Some find it sexy, and I do too. Recommended…
Delicious and very summery; I wear it for everyday because it’s not cloying, its scent lingers and its freshness is enchanting.
One of the fragrances I was gifted and that I absolutely love; I wear it for work, for going shopping, for everyday life.
One of my favourites, ideal for everyday wear in summer. To my nose, the green apple and pine stand out, leaving a slightly woody finish. It’s not spectacular, but it stands out from the rest and for the price, it’s a very good option. My rating: 8.5/10.
It doesn’t last as long as before, but it’s brilliant in summer; with the heat and sweat, it revives and projects more, as if it has a second life. I love it, but only for summer. I don’t see it being suitable for another season. It’s a pleasure for going to work or casual outings. I don’t see any resemblance to Hugo Boss’s water bottle. Best regards.
I wish it were called Lacoste Green, because green apple 🍏 mixed with pine🌲 dominates; it’s super fresh for summer. I love it.💚
Following Red Play, this is the most authentic pine scent I absolutely adore from Lacoste.
What a brilliant fragrance; it proves that a few notes can create an olfactory bomb. Excellent longevity, projection and trail. It stands out more in summer, but it smells great on me all year round.
