Descripción

Thank U, Next by Ariana Grande is a fruity-floral-gourmand fragrance for women. Launched in 2019, this composition was created by perfumer Jérôme Epinette. The top notes of raspberry and pear deliver a fresh, juicy first impression. The heart reveals a creamy coconut and pink rose, adding sweetness and femininity. Finally, the base settles on sweet macarons and musk, closing the experience with a gourmand and enveloping touch.

  • I absolutely love this perfume! If I have an event, a date or an important day, Thank U, Next always accompanies me. It’s my favourite; when I go out, people compliment me a lot and highlight this scent. Perhaps it doesn’t project as much, but everyone distinguishes me from the moment I enter because of this smell. It’s creamy, rich and sweet, ideal for lovers of creamy sweets. It starts with sweet raspberry and sugar, then the creamy coconut and a super sweet macaron. It’s a sweet, sweet, I LOVE IT! It was my first perfume purchase and it sparked my love for Ariana’s perfumes. Although they aren’t complex, elegant or sophisticated, I love them. It lasts between 4-5 hours, with a high trail for the first two hours, but poor longevity, which is disappointing. However, since I love it, I have a European dupe, just the essence, and apply it before the perfume to make it last all day. People always ask what I wore underneath with this combination. Try that tip with a perfume you love that doesn’t last long; you’ll see the tremendous change.

  • Kimmbaekkie

At first, it smells like McDonald’s burger pickles. As it dries down, I don’t perceive it as much and the sweetness comes through. Is it ugly? No, I’ve heard worse. But I don’t want to walk around smelling like pickles when the dry-down phase is noticeable. Thank u, next!!

  • redvelvetblackbox

I got excited by the reviews and made the mistake of buying it blindly. I didn’t like it at all. The smell is unbearable. I’ve tried other Ariana Grande perfumes and loved them, but with Thank U, Next there’s no point, not even for clothes or sheets. Yes, it’s an intense coconut as promised, but something in its composition smells very synthetic and invasive, as if there’s something burnt, sour or gone off. The packaging is beautiful, but I wouldn’t recommend it even to an enemy.

  • Labellezadeelolfatto

I bought it blindly following reviews and videos. Unfortunately, I didn’t like it at all; I had high hopes. The sweet macaron note is very prominent; it’s cloying and smells synthetic. It’s feminine, yes, but when I sprayed it on my hand, I didn’t want to smell it, unlike others that make me want to sniff them constantly. It’s a pity because I wanted to like it.

  • Playas1010

I bought it following the reviews but I don’t like it at all. It has a very synthetic note that doesn’t suit me. I gave it two chances and can’t find the good side. Now I opt for decants; if I like a perfume, I buy it in full size.

  • Didiuwu111

I bought it blindly expecting something rich and sweet, like a dessert, but nothing like that. It’s more fruity and floral; I don’t get the coconut and it smells a bit synthetic. I didn’t expect that, but it doesn’t disgust me. My friends say it smells nice, like orange marmalade, and I liked it a bit. I wouldn’t buy it again, but if you like sweet perfumes, get it.

  • The sweet macaron note dominates the coconut, which isn’t tropical but pastry-like. The macaron is stronger and a bit cloying to my taste. I even get the impression of heliotrope, with a certain bitter touch.

  • Anjellychee

It opens super fresh with raspberry and pear, juicy and acidic. As it dries down, the toffees emerge, with a powdery and fresh touch from the coconut and macaron. It’s one of my favourites; gourmand but not cloying, very fresh. It suits all seasons but stands out during the day. Ideal for everyday wear, dates or school events. I love it! I have the original, the dupe and the body mist. I like the bottle and the song message, which I’ve tried to apply to my life. The trail and longevity are moderate, leaning towards light. Although it’s not cheap, I like it enough to reapply without it hurting (I have the dupe and mist to make it last longer).

  • Although Ariana’s perfumes are usually sweet and synthetic, I hated the opening of Thank U, Next: coconut with something extra, macaron and raspberry, but it smells like sour pickles. I don’t know how it evolves, but that scent is the one I least tolerate in life, apart from the pet food aisle. Why would anyone want to smell like pickles? wtf, it was my first silver bullet.

  • Yubiaromas

Top notes are very strong and synthetic. If you already own God Is a Woman, it’s not worth it; it doesn’t last long and dries down to smell like macaron. I don’t get any coconut on my skin.

  • Proenzadriana

I don’t have a great sense of smell, but this perfume has a constant plastic base. I think that’s what they mean by ‘McDonald’s pickles’ or ‘burnt’. It is exactly that; it overwhelms the pastel coconut scent. It’s as if they tried to camouflage a tyre with grated coconut and a biscuit. I don’t smell the fruits; I think in trying to recreate their acidity, the plastic smell came out. It’s not horrible, but there are thousands of perfumes without strange bases that leave the same sensation. I don’t recommend it 🙁

  • Tatianastoattoa

I put it on this afternoon and until now I haven’t been able to shake the headache. Fifteen minutes later I sensed a pleasant and relaxing aroma because I love coconut, but an hour later I couldn’t stand the discomfort of that extremely sweet smell – it’s like coconut flakes with more sugar than anything else. It’s not that I couldn’t stand it because it’s sweet, as I love gourmands, but this isn’t pretty, tender or provocative. One hundred per cent sugar, synthetic and cheap.

  • They told me I smelled like sweet fruit salad 🥥🍓🍐🥝 BUT, it has something bitter in the opening, I don’t know what; they associated it with pickled pickle juice and I honestly agree. Now that pickle sensation doesn’t always last; afterwards, there’s that lovely sweet fruit smell. Would I buy it again? Surprisingly no, despite my good thoughts, I don’t like that pickle opening, so it’s an excuse to try another perfume.

  • Love and hate. When I first tried it, I loved that sweet coconut, its longevity and trail. Then, after two months, one day I suddenly smelled a sour aroma and realised it was the perfume: it smells like pickles. I couldn’t stop smelling that sour note in the opening and had to gift it away. But the person I gave it to doesn’t smell it that way, so perhaps it’s a pH thing. I’m still looking for another perfume with that sweet gourmand coconut (that doesn’t smell like sunscreen) like Thank U, Next.

  • I love it! ❤️ Its performance is phenomenal, lasting over 12 hours with about 6 hours of projection – impressive! For a celebrity perfume. I bought it in 2020 and have never smelled pickle or plastic (maybe it’s the batch); for me, it’s a coconut-raspberry dessert with whipped cream and a special touch of its sibling Cloud in the background. I adore it!

  • Rasputina by Alíen

I have the body mist and it only smells like macaron with coconut. It’s sweet and very synthetic; I’d only wear it on cool days, never in summer. It has good trail and longevity. I didn’t like the scent, so I won’t buy the perfume; Sweet Like Candy is more beautiful and wearable. Note: I’m not a gourmand lover, perhaps that’s the reason. It suits its name: NEEEEEEEEXT 😄

  • It smells so sweet it’s sickening. Reminds me of Britney’s Fantasy. I don’t like the base; it smells like floor cleaner. Men might like it, perhaps it has a unisex touch.

  • The opening is weird, but after 5 minutes it smells delicious – coconut, raspberry and macaron. It projects massively and lasts until the next day. It’s very sweet, ideal for autumn and winter, or spring/summer if you don’t overuse the sprays, otherwise it becomes overwhelming.

  • valentinadevenus

The start is a bit sour, without raspberry or pear; that is why I see they compare it to pickles. But when it dries down it is a delicious coconut bonbon, ultra sweet. Don’t expect the typical summer coconut with a sunscreen smell. For now, all is well, but the longevity and sillage are horrible: with moisturised skin it lasts an hour and the sillage is very low, no one smells it. Although the packaging is beautiful and it is for all seasons, the scent is barely pleasant and it is not worth spending money on this.

  • bareynille

My favourite by Ariana, a super unique and rich scent. It blends the sweet with the fruity well, has good sillage and projection, and lasts quite a while on the skin. I love the coconut because it smells like coconut milk and not sunscreen.

  • Gaby Iglesias

I added it to my collection and was surprised by the longevity and sillage. The raspberry and coconut with macarons dominate; it is delicious and I love it more than Cloud or any other by Ariana Grande. I recommend it and will buy it again.

  • What a beautiful and original perfume. It is sweet and slightly powdery, ideal for fresh spring or summer. The mix of roses and fruits reminds me of the style of Idôle, as if it were a new flanker. At first you sense the powdery rose, then the coconut, the raspberry and the rest take the lead. The only thing I don’t like is the packaging; it seems impractical and perhaps has low sillage, but I would use it even if worn under cream.

  • How delicious, youthful, sweet and fruity but different from the usual. The coconut and sweetness make you want to smell it all the time. Although it has a summer vibe due to the coconut, it doesn’t smell like sunscreen, but rather creamy sweet coconut water with a salty touch. It is for any season because the macaron note makes it combine with everything. Although sweet scents are usually for the young, this enchants all ages due to its joy and delicacy. It doesn’t smell like cheap body mist.

  • I adore it; it has great longevity and sillage. It is much more enjoyable in cold weather; when I apply it, I feel wrapped in warmth, it is comforting. I recommend it to gourmand perfume lovers <3

  • MarBotero

I bought it due to all the recommendations, so my expectations were high. On the first spray, I didn’t sense strawberry, but direct coconut, like when I tan with oil, although it later becomes sweeter. It didn’t win me over at first sight, but I hope my skin gets used to it over time.

  • ovejafloral

Very rich, soft and pleasant. Although it is unusual, almost certainly everyone will like it. Smells very tropical, I sense coconut and mango. Being soft, it is ideal for daily use <33

  • Sweet and tender; the first thing you notice when spraying it is the coconut with raspberry. Even though it doesn’t contain mango, the blend makes it feel that way. Smells like the beach, perfect for summer.

  • I love the smell! Some don’t like the opening, but to me it smells delicious of tropical fruits. I don’t own it, only tried it in store, and it’s a pity it doesn’t last long. After an hour I only detect the macaroon (which smells delightful), but it’s not potent; I have to press my nose to smell it. I wish it had more longevity and projection; I understand it’s a celebrity scent, but what a pity because it smells nice 💔. I applied many sprays to test it, but I don’t think I’ll buy it 💔.

  • The boldest scent from Ariana’s line, the most summery. The pear and coconut blend smells like a fruity cocktail. It’s super sweet but moves away from creamy gourmands. It got me several compliments; I don’t detect any musk. The longevity is the same as the rest of her perfumes, genuinely disappointing. The downside is that it lacks personality, evolves poorly over time and feels stuck in 2019. It smells nice but lacks layers; the opening doesn’t evolve much and fades quickly.

  • El michi coquette

I like it for temperate weather, neither too hot nor too cold. It feels feminine and soft due to the macaroon notes in the dry-down. At first, people thought it smelled of pickles, but I’m getting used to it. It gives off sweet baby vibes. I love clean scents, but I’d rank Ariana Grande’s in second or third place.

  • I bought it after a recommendation. At the counter it seemed cloying, but on skin my opinion changed. The opening is coconut with a floral touch. I thought it barely smelled, but I’ve already received several compliments that it smells nice. The only downside is that I feel it doesn’t last long; I’ve had to put more on my clothes and use the body mist. Otherwise, it’s incredible.

  • I love it; it’s sweet but not cloying, pleasant and youthful. The coconut dominates with the rose; although the rose isn’t my favourite, with that coconut it’s delicious. On skin it lasts many hours and on clothes until the wash. Sometimes during the dry-down it smells like popcorn, which I adore.

  • At first, it felt synthetic and very sweet. It lasts hours on skin but the trail is small. Ideal for casual days or keeping it in your bag. PS: after a few minutes, you pick up notes of nuts, which is incredible.

  • I went to the shopping centre yesterday looking for Thank U, Next. Straight out of the bottle it smells acidic and strong, but once it dries down it’s sweet, with notes of coconut and mango. The trail is moderate to low and it lasted between three and four hours. I’ll go back to smell it to see if the longevity improves.

  • I received it as a gift and it was the most complimented of all the ones I’ve worn so far. One of my favourites on skin. To me, it smells strongly of coconut and macaroon.

  • Sweet, but lacking much personality. It smells a bit of cucumber to me, which isn’t a dealbreaker, but I expected something better than what I got.

  • Of all the Ariana Grande scents, this is the champion for longevity and projection in my opinion. On skin it lasted six hours, and on clothes until the wash. Initially, the raspberry is intense and delicious, then it transitions into a sweet coconut with a toasted note. It’s the richest coconut version I’ve tried and stands out above the rest.
