  • This is an extract that comes out moderately when sprayed, but with the heat of the skin it rises and does magic: pure vanilla, natural bean, with a touch of oud that isn’t heavy. It envelops you, has excellent longevity and projection. The skin is left with a layer of shiny oil due to the quality; there’s no alcohol or water hissing. This brand has surprised me. Van Phy Rhum is another marvel, a vanilla and alcoholic unisex bomb. Both are for autumn-winter and night outings. Cherry Ink also captivated me, an unusual cherry. I encourage you to try them in decants or a set. Excellent quality and price. They are original, like Carbonara. Extreme Passion also joins my collection, a fruity bomb that dries down with a twist, turning into vanilla-musk bursts.

  • Another ‘neither here nor there’ from the Lorenzo Pazzaglia set; that’s three now. It’s a dark, heavy, complex vanilla, without sugar or megagourmand notes, but it doesn’t project as I expected nor does it create that olfactory bubble of Bianco Latte (which it doesn’t resemble, although many people compare them). The longevity is good and the trail isn’t bad, but I expected more. Better for the wallet, because nothing tried from this house deserves the investment.

Van Extasy is a year-round vanilla. On blotter, it felt incredibly synthetic, almost like solvent or poppers, nothing like vanilla. But on skin, the magic happens: that chemistry vanishes, leaving one of the best vanillas I’ve ever tried. I won’t give it ten because, while it smells good, it adds nothing new; it’s vanilla plus vanilla with almost no projection. It’s as if you’ve applied a spectacular vanilla moisturiser, but it’s only detectable inches from the skin. Longevity is top-notch, lasting 8–9 hours, though no one else notices unless they press their nose to my wrist. It’s a good perfume if you’re not looking for an olfactory bomb and have room for another vanilla; ideal for any season or as a base for blending, but its shortcomings keep it from perfection.

Van Extasy is a year-round vanilla. I admit I didn’t like it on paper; it felt synthetic, solvent-like, almost like poppers. But on the skin, everything changes: that chemical sensation vanishes, leaving one of the best vanillas I’ve tried. I won’t give it 10 because it adds nothing new; it’s just another vanilla on the market with almost no projection. When applied, it smells like a high-quality vanilla moisturiser, but you can only smell it right up against the skin. The longevity is good; you can notice it coming from 8-9 hours away by holding your nose close, though no one else can smell it unless they press their wrist right up to their nose. It’s a good perfume if you’re not looking for an olfactory bomb and don’t have special vanillas. Ideal for any season or for blending.

  • I’m not sure if it’s my sense of smell or the bottle, but it smells like nothing. I wrote to Lorenzo Pazzaglia and was ignored, seemingly without trying to help. What a pity to spend 145 euros on a fragrance I cannot appreciate. I understand nothing and have lost faith in the brand. I already have four other perfumes from them.

  • I don’t know if it’s my nose or my bottle, but it smells like NOTHING. I wrote to Lorenzo Pazzaglia and was brushed aside without any help whatsoever. What a pity to spend €145 on a fragrance I can’t even appreciate. I understand nothing and have lost faith in this brand. I already have four other perfumes from LP.

  • Sulamita Dulce

It smells remarkably similar to Van Phy Rhum. If you have one, you don’t need the other. The difference is that in Van Phy Rhum, I sense dark chocolate with rum, whereas here there is a lighter chocolate and less alcohol. Both are super vanilla, sweet, and gourmand. They are not powerhouses. As a woman, the ones that have most captivated me from this house are: 1. Cherry Ink, 2. Extreme Passion, 3. Evil Angel, 4. Summer Hammer. I understand the hype; scents are subjective and everyone lives their own experience. If you get hooked, you’ll consider it unique. My experience was excellent.

A good perfume, but there are cheaper options offering 100ml and a similar experience, such as Bianco Latte, with the same pastry-style vanilla. This one smells a bit darker, perhaps due to the oud, and feels somewhat boozy despite the listed notes. I smelled it and loved it, but with Bianco Latte, I already have Sweet Xplossion. Perhaps with better projection, I would have bought this despite having similar scents. Regarding the similarity to Van Phy Rhum, it’s not redundant to own both; I understand those who say so. For me, Van Phy Rhum provides that dark rum note that this lacks. This is more subtle and personal. It lasts 6-8 hours on skin with a one-and-a-half-hour projection.

In a nutshell: Van Phy Rum without the ‘Phy’ but with rum, though it’s not real rum. The opening is similar, more vanilla and boozy thanks to that bourbon vanilla. The evolution is linear: once the alcohol fades, it’s vanilla, caramel, vanilla… slightly creamy, like custard. All of this lasts a solid 9 hours on clothes, 12 or more with moderate-to-high projection. In short, the vanilla of vanillas.

  • To put it briefly: Van Phy Rum without the Phy but with the Rum, even if it’s not real rum. The opening is similar, sweeter and more alcoholic due to that Bourbon vanilla. The evolution is linear: once the alcohol settles, it’s vanilla, vanilla, vanilla, caramel, vanilla… slightly creamy, like custard. This lasts a solid nine hours on clothes and equally on skin, with moderate-to-high projection for 12 hours or more. In short: the vanilla of vanillas.

  • Oh dear, what a find; it turns everything into gold. I never thought I’d stumble upon niche perfumes at this price point, but I picked up Sugar Kisses and now I’m testing this gem. At first, it smells like soaked tiramisu, with that boozy alcohol note, likely from the bourbon vanilla. Then it dries down to a brutal dessert vanilla, just like Sugar Kisses. The downside is that it’s very linear and bears a strong resemblance to the previous scent. I’ll continue exploring the brand; the ingredient quality is impressive. Just be aware, it is sweet, very sweet.

  • Oh, what a chap; he turns everything into gold. I never thought I’d come across niche perfumes at this price, but I picked up Sugar Kisses and now I’m trying this gem. At first, it smells like soaked tiramisu, with that alcohol touch, surely from the bourbon vanilla. Then it dries down into a brutal dessert vanilla, just like Sugar Kisses. The downside is that it’s very linear and resembles the previous one too much. I’ll keep trying the brand; the quality of the ingredients is impressive. Be warned, it’s sweet, very sweet.
