It bears no resemblance to Bvlgari Man In Black; it is totally inspired by Bleu de Chanel.
I had to buy it because it was the only Cuban scent I still needed to try (apart from some discontinued ones like the Hollywood range), and I don’t know who said it resembled Bvlgari Man In Black; possibly they were guided by a review I also saw on YouTube, but there is nothing alike. It is an inspiration for Mont Blanc Legend (and therefore Fierce). Like Cuba Milestone (inspired by Creed Aventus), these are fragrances with good longevity but very little projection: on my skin it lasts six hours, but the projection is barely an hour after application. It’s excellent if you don’t want to spend much on a designer fragrance and don’t want it to overpower those around you; it’s perfect for the office as it is clean and has low projection. Although, if you are looking to turn heads, this isn’t your type.
A Cuban perfume that is uncommon; it’s in existence but not particularly usual. It has a fruity and fresh aroma; the opening smells like a pineapple similar to Hugo Boss Bottled Unlimited, then it becomes sweeter and settles there. I have to apply 10 sprays and reapply with an atomiser, as it doesn’t project beyond half a metre, though it lasts about four hours on the skin. Good for everyday wear or casual situations where you don’t want to splash out on your nicer fragrances.
Truth be told, I barely smell it by the end of the day; it feels far too soft for my taste. I can’t expect more given the price, especially since I bought it in Ecuador. For what I paid, I’d have preferred a catalogue scent like Lbel’s Blue Night or Yambal’s Ohm Black, which project well for two hours and cost around $25 to $30. However, this is only my second day testing it, so I plan to use it more over the coming days to see if my perspective changes or if I stick with my initial thoughts.
