It’s a complicated fragrance: violet dominates the first two hours, making it very feminine. Then, oud and tobacco take over, turning it masculine. It has charm and lasts over eight hours with good projection, but it’s not unisex; it’s more of a ‘bisex’ scent, which makes it hard to wear. I don’t detect any fig, which was the note that attracted me; it should be called ‘Violet Me Up’, as that’s the note that lingers throughout the entire life of the perfume.
A bold, green opening with the fig leaf at full strength, perfectly balanced with rhubarb to add depth to the freshness. Half an hour in, ethyl maltol sweetens without veering into gourmand territory, thanks to that slightly burnt sugar touch. By the hour, plum enters, revealing a ripe, sweet fig while the leaf and rhubarb remain present. Sandalwood closes it with creaminess and a subtly woody base. On my skin, it lasts 7–8 hours – it’s personal, but noticeable. Projection is low but leaves a trail with movement. It’s unisex. If you like fig, Fig Me Up is worth it.

With this Mancera release, I’ve recovered a bit; it’s a very good perfume. You can tell the Mancera quality; the fig note is spectacular with a green touch and a very gentle oud.
