It is too strong; if overapplied, it can become annoying. However, I like its scent in its heart stage: it is intense but very pleasant. I assure you, you will not go unnoticed. Furthermore, it is very economical. I recommend it highly.
Mmm, I felt something special with this fragrance. A friend owns one, and I borrowed a few drops from him, hehe, and it is delicious. Its opening notes reminded me of makeup powder, but it is not bad; it is rare, but those rare and beautiful ones. And if A*Men smells the same or stronger, I already want it in my small collection.
Very strong; I would say it is a scent that if you overapply it, you will suffocate yourself. It happened to me, and by experience I say: never overapply it. It is economical, very pleasant, and fair for what it is worth. Highly recommended for that sweetness it possesses.
What a lovely surprise, the Cuba Prestige fragrance from Cuba Paris. This line is truly superb; it is identical to the opening of Thierry Mugler’s A*Men, that particular scent. The only difference is the intensity and duration, but it does not matter: if one lasts seven hours and the other four, an extra application solves the problem. In itself, a beautiful fragrance seeking its own personality but tending to compare itself with other famous brands. Now, considering price and quality, I, like many others, will buy more of it. It is a safe purchase. I have researched and investigated the CUBA PARIS line extensively, selecting the best for men and women based on user feedback and my own experience, which I will soon share in this review.
A pleasant fragrance, very similar to A*Men without a doubt. A well-executed clone, a valid replacement for the famous Thierry Mugler scent at a third or fourth of the price. It can be found in Colombia for $10 and even cheaper depending on the city. Its aluminium packaging is interesting and well-made. Not so much the bottle presentation, with the tobacco-like shape characteristic of this brand. Overall, good value for money. Scent: 9/10, Longevity: 8/10, Projection: 7/10, Versatility: 7/10, Price: 10/10.
It smells similar to Thierry Mugler’s A*Men, but its heart features an exquisite fresh, semi-sweet floral touch that I prefer even to the original, as the latter overwhelms me in the first half-hour, whereas this is lovely from the outset, comforting, with notes of coffee and flowers. Its price is very attractive: you can reapply three or four times a day and still smell sensational. Highly recommended, no flaws.
One of the few fragrances that is truly worth owning. I repurchased it (and truthfully, it was hard to find), but it is finally mine again. I detect a very pronounced amber preceded by blackcurrants, something delicious; perhaps a little synthetic but captivating. It is multifaceted; I adore all its facets. In the final phase, I sense a hint of vanilla (though it is not listed). It commands attention and definitely does not go unnoticed. Some will love it and some will hate it; that is its magic. A marvel. Scent 9/10, Projection 8/10, Longevity 7/10, Price 10/10 (very economical), Quality 8/10, Versatility 10/10.
To me, it is superior to Thierry Mugler’s A-Men, which feels heavy after just three sprays. In contrast, Cuba Prestige feels softer to my mind. Furthermore, the price is far more competitive, hovering around $50 compared to the original’s $11. I’m sticking with Cuba Prestige.
An elegant, bold, and sexy fragrance of great pedigree. Without a doubt, a fine choice to wear and stand out from the crowd. It bears a resemblance to Thierry Mugler’s A*Men, and I absolutely love that.
Too much for my nose, simply my nose can’t bear its scent. After the stage of annoyance begins a slight dizziness, as if someone had shaken my head abruptly, or like the day after a party. It’s very strong, very sweet. If you decide to use it, I’d recommend it for cold days and… please, do not over-apply, you might find everyone running away from you.
How strange this fragrance is; it’s a clone of A*Men, but it’s a compliment. They share four notes: lavender, bergamot, cedar and amber. They are exactly the same and I think it would be difficult to tell them apart without looking. Just for the price, the Thierry Mugler one is worth double or more. The projection is good; it doesn’t have such an explosive opening but it’s good anyway, as is its longevity; with a couple more applications it pays off. I love blackcurrants and cardamom. Of course, I’m already ordering another 100ml bottle and I use both alternatingly. A very good option if you’re short of cash and can’t reach for the Mugler one, and a very good option if you want something a little softer. If you don’t like oriental scents, this isn’t for you; otherwise, it’s an urgent purchase. Projection 8, Longevity 7, Price 10. Fresh days, of course. A cordial greeting from Argentina.
This fragrance is quite strong, too much for my nose; it even causes me excessive dizziness. They say it’s similar to Thierry Mugler’s A*Men, well, a little bit, but A*Men is obviously much better. This one is totally linear and doesn’t improve with time, rather it gets worse.
This fragrance isn’t for everyone; you have to know how to use it. It’s for cold or rainy climates; don’t use it on hot days because it makes you dizzy and gives you nausea. Anyway, it’s a jewel; I give it 9/10 for scent and longevity.
Be very careful with this fragrance. It’s extremely sweet and warm, it has something of Mugler but not as much as they say. Do not over-apply it; it could be tremendously dizzying. It doesn’t last as long as A*Men, but its performance is excellent. We’re talking about a fragrance that doesn’t reach 10 euros, a ridiculous price for what Cuba Prestige offers. That said, remembering it’s not for everyone because it’s tremendously sweet and intoxicating. If you like A*Men you might like this one very much, and at that price one can risk it without problem. It surprised me, certainly.
This fragrance is delicious but performs like the devil: it’s strong, lasts until it can’t last any longer, with an infernal trail. It’s dark and challenging, not for everyone, although it’s sweet and drives anyone mad. Very little spray, or else you’ll drown in its fury. This is Cuba Prestige, also catalogued as the perfect clone of Thierry Mugler’s A*Men, it’s 98% similar, but I believe Cuba is even more concentrated and formidable. It’s a fragrance for men.
A good fragrance, a sweet aroma leaning towards ‘gourmand’ with a light citrus touch; we could compare it to a lemon cake. I think it’s a safe scent that most people will like. I see it as versatile for almost any season if we control the sprays in summer. Regarding performance, I expected better according to the reviews; it’s correct for the price. It projects discretely for about 3 hours, needing closeness; longevity is around 8 hours and up to 10 if over-applied. Scent: 8, Longevity: 8, Projection: 7.5, Sillage: 7, Price: 9, Versatility: 8. A point to note: I bought two fragrances from the brand Cuba Paris and both came with 10% less liquid; I don’t know if it’s bad luck or how the brand is, but bear it in mind.
Indeed, very similar to A*Men; I’d say it’s more versatile though with less sillage. It’s not the greatest thing, but one has to recognise its longevity and a certain powdery/velvety texture effect from the blackcurrant; all of this at an unbeatable price.
It was incredible when I sniffed it; I was hit by a chocolatey coffee scent that put me in a very good mood. Incredible that it doesn’t report those notes or generate that effect with different ingredients. It seems to come out very strong and then fades. I will certainly review it on my YouTube channel ‘Moy Olaf Fragancias’, but first I’ll study its timing and dry-down more. Best wishes to all.
My first purchase from the Prestige line and my favourite of the four. It’s brilliant and, considering the price, it crowns itself as one of the kings of affordable perfumes. It has citrus, woods, florals and spices, yet it smells like none of those things; it’s a delight of coffee and milk chocolate, just like opening a can of Nescafé cappuccino. That’s just to give you an idea – it doesn’t smell exactly like that, but it evokes that sweet, creamy aroma, I suppose due to the amber accord. It’s often compared to Mugler’s A*Men and they bear a strong resemblance. It has notable longevity; recommended for cold climates. In winter, it’s a treat, enveloping you in a warm, velvety aura with good projection, ideal for daily wear when it’s chilly. A splendid fragrance, it has a strong opening but sweet at the same time, which over time leaves an attractive sillage for most tastes, simply brilliant. It’s cheap and its duration is very good; for me, it lasted approximately 10 hours.
A very interesting fragrance that resembles, as commented, Thierry Mugler’s A*Men quite a bit. Although I don’t think it’s an exact copy, the similarity sits at around 80%, as the Cuba Prestige aroma is slightly less strident. Its notes: a potent citrus opening, although from the start you can already notice the ‘gourmand’ touch with blackcurrants and some notes from the subsequent phases like cardamom or jasmine, which will give way in about 30 minutes to dense woody and amber notes. In terms of performance, it’s clearly more discreet than A*Men, although it lasts well for about 7 hours, with a quite good sillage during the first 2 hours. Given its economical price, it’s one of the best options from the Cuba house.
Cuba Prestige, a very pleasant lotion, slightly sweet leaning towards chocolate in my opinion. To make it more woody, I added 10 cracked allspice berries and 10 cloves; afterwards, the aroma became more fresh and less sweet.
I don’t understand the perfume note thing (at least the ones listed on Fragrantica). It smells incredibly similar to A*Men, practically the same, of course, but the longevity and sillage are much lesser. The curious thing is that according to Fragrantica, they share almost no notes…
Very similar to A Men with comparable performance, even slightly better than the current A Men. Highly recommended, especially in cold weather.
What a rarity that something so cheap is so good. I take it out from time to time and enjoy it quite a bit. I think it’s an old batch; I applied it at 7 PM and woke up the next day and it was still there. A dry, warm, very masculine, amber and earthy fragrance, a wonder, it’s unique, I haven’t smelled anything like it. The only thing I don’t recommend for young people is for those over 30.
It seems reformulated because my batch from this year lasts barely an hour with 10 sprays on it. It’s the worst perfume in terms of performance I have 🙁
It has a feminine cosmetic nuance that I simply can’t handle; not because it becomes feminine, but because it seems very synthetic. Although the price is ridiculous, it’s not worth it, at least the reformulation I have, as it doesn’t last long on skin either. If you’re interested in the reformulation, they removed lilial (butylphenyl methylpropional), and you can identify it because the back of the box is crossed out. See the photos.
I bought the Prestige Classic because I only had one winter scent; in my city, temperatures only drop below 20 degrees for a single month. Upon opening it, accustomed to fresh scents, I thought: ‘What a horror?’. But as I continued to smell it, I found its charm. It’s sweet, but VERY sweet; it needs plenty of cold or it becomes overwhelming. Some say it smells like talcum powder, others like chocolate. I compare it to a Kinder Delice or a cherry chocolate with a hint of acidity. It lasts forever, 12 hours in the hospital and it’s brutal on clothes, projecting a lot. It smells better as it dries down than when first applied. It’s 350 pesos, but I caught it on offer for 185.
@Dkorador: Exactly, I included it so that if you’re looking for performance, you quickly know which version to buy.
Besides having poor performance, its projection is extremely low. What a disappointment, Cuba; the only one worth it is Cuba Gold.
It’s the cologne most similar to Mugler’s A*Men, but with horrible performance (leaves a trail for a maximum of an hour and lasts on skin for a maximum of 5 hours).
Personally, I expected a slightly friendlier fragrance, given the hype I read here about an excellent perfume. I bought it with that expectation, and upon smelling it, I didn’t like it at all. It has a too-synthetic, cosmetic-like smell; at first sniff, it smells like cosmetics with citrus notes. I expected something more chocolatey and creamy, something more wearable, but unfortunately, I didn’t like it at all. I know I can’t expect much for its price, but this did disappoint me.
One of the best long-lasting Cubans, about 6 hours, smells excellent, the best of Prestige, recommended.
Cubans are usually bad, but this surpasses many. Sweet, rich, long-lasting, top-notch.
The opening is strong; spray from a distance. It’s very amber and woody, yet so fruity it makes it unisex. I notice it’s very sweet, lasts 4 hours, has good trail, doesn’t smell chemical, and is fairly natural. It’s warm, evolving with the union of blackcurrant and cedar to highlight just the wood at the end. I don’t understand why vanilla isn’t listed; it’s there knocking at the door. It’s caramelised, earthy and bold. A subtle, non-invasive spicy note complements the potion, ideal for daily wear, though better for winter than summer. It doesn’t smell like tobacco or pure tobacco; it’s creamy and pleasant; my dog gets very happy when he smells it on me. Wow! 7.5/10.
This is a marvel. The first time I smelled it, I was surprised and rejected it, but I decided to give it more chances. When it’s cold, raining or snowing, and you wear this perfume, it’s like it keeps you warm and stops the chill. It’s a peculiar and exclusive scent that shouldn’t be missing from a collection; it will be different from everything else, and there will be times you fancy wearing it. If you have doubts, ask me.
I bought it on offer and have no regrets; I think along with Gold, it’s one of the best. What predominates is vetiver and moss; even the vetiver is slightly tobacco-like and doesn’t seem synthetic. Performance is decent for the price, not bad, and the bottle is handy as it doubles as a decant and fits in a suit pocket (35ml).
To me, it smells like moss with half-chocolate, half-powdered vetiver, like women’s makeup. I’d love it to have a Dior Homme-style iris, but for the price, it’s a great Mugler inspiration. Lasts 5-6 hours on skin and days on clothes. It’s serious and cosy, perfect for extreme cold with a manly coat or jacket. Very masculine and mature; it suits my dad (50) more than me (24), though I like it. Don’t buy blind; I gave it several chances because I didn’t like it at first until I found the vibe. If you dress appropriately, on a cloudy day, with the right personality, this could get you compliments.
I tried this in-store, not sure if it was Cuba Prestige or Black, but it smells much more like Mugler’s A*Men. It’s not heavy; it has the Angel for Men vibe but is cheaper. Priced between $10 and $25, in the end, this Cuban outperforms Angel (though many dislike it for that very reason).
