It’s a perfume bomb. Similar to the classic. A safe buy if you like its Papa…
Here it is truly a ripe tangerine, well-crafted. It’s not sweet, it’s spacious and gives an earthy sensation. Quite wearable; it shifts the focus from the youthful first edition to an older audience who wants to wear that DNA without smelling too sweet or like a high school boy.
Similar opening to the original; as it dries down it loses some sweetness (which never fully disappears), leaving sweet citrus and woody notes reminiscent of Arab fragrances like Art of Universe or Sceptre Malachite. That citrus-sweet sensation is very similar; lately many Arab perfumes carry that little flavour I can’t quite identify.
Better than the classic Mandarin Sky; this is a thousand times superior, 20/10.
Another glass of Mandarin Sky, a vintage version without sweetness, just citrus, more woody and floral.
