I’ve only had it for a day. Regarding the comparison: yes, it’s very similar to Le Beau, like a mix between the EDT and EDP (I own all three). It doesn’t resemble Armani Code at all; perhaps in the dry down due to some vanilla, but Code is very dark… I mention this because here it relates to that vibe. The longevity is impressive; I applied it five hours ago and it still smells fine, I’ll update once it has matured. It cost me £30; I wouldn’t pay more for it, and honestly I bought it because many reviewers say it’s a twist of Sauvage or Scandal with Le Beau…. AND IT’S NOT! Once again, one lets themselves be led by reviewers and I now own all the mentioned fragrances. This smells like a twist of the two Le Beaus but something fresher or brighter, without that heavy fig part and without the darkness of Le Parfum. We’ll wait to see how it changes in a month. PS: if you have Le Beau, I don’t recommend buying this; it smells good but Le Beau is better.
Smells super fruity and masculine coconut with a sweet vanilla touch. The coconut fades quickly, leaving a fruitier, sweeter scent where a bit of chocolate is noticeable, though diffused and without tipping into gourmand territory. It’s not a cloying sweet, but rather a sophisticated one. If you’re looking for something summery, creamy, or milky, this isn’t it; it’s better suited for an outdoor night out.
As Jack the Ripper might say: let’s take this step by step… First, don’t be swept away by the hype from YouTubers and TikTokers. Is it bad? No, but according to them, this is a perfume of a bygone era. They claim it’s a mix of Sauvage and Le Beau Le Parfum, yet it lacks any of Sauvage’s DNA. It has coconut and resembles any Le Beau, but not necessarily the Parfum, which in my opinion is the best in the family. Setting that aside, the scent matches Armaf’s Tag Rosso Uomo at the opening, though as it dries down it leans more towards Invictus Victory. The opening is almost identical to this Odyssey Artisto. I like it very much; I wouldn’t call it the best in the line as some say, but it’s pleasant for hot weather. The longevity and sillage are poor. Overall, it’s good, certainly a safe blind buy that’s hard to dislike, but keep in mind the longevity and don’t let the hype get to you. It’s just Odyssey Artisto, not a dupe of anyone; the closest match is that Tag Rosso at the opening.
No, nothing to do with Le Beau. In the dry down it gives similar notes that might remind you of it, but no. If you’re looking for something similar, try Glacier Bold instead. This is fruity coconut, but more fruity with a subtle vanilla touch, a rather soft scent.
It doesn’t resemble Le Beau or Sauvage EDT. Perhaps it shares a few points, but they would be distant cousins and forced comparisons. It’s not bad, but nothing striking; I tested it alongside Mont Blanc Explorer Platinum and preferred the Platinum, although it costs almost double for little reason. Both sit under that gourmand line. The longevity is good but not a beast like Odyssey Aqua or Mega.
To me it’s very different at the start from Mandarin Sky, but I say this because as it dries it resembles it quite a bit. I know that fragrance very well and 30 minutes after applying this Artist you’ll smell 80% the same. At the start it’s more bergamot or lemon and finishes with something more tangerine/orange. That’s my opinion.
I understand the hype; the fragrance is very good. I detect a tropical note without being too fruity, with a good balance. It’s an ‘all-rounder’; if you don’t know what to wear, with this Artisto you can’t go wrong.
I love this perfume; it smells incredible. I agree with those who say it’s the best in the line. However, the projection is dreadful, with a very weak sillage. I’ve practically drenched myself in it and nothing. Regarding longevity on the skin, it’s moderate and I have no complaints, but on clothes, it lasts a day.
I understand the hype; the fragrance is top tier. It’s tropical without being too fruity, with a good balance. It’s an all-rounder; if you don’t know what to wear, you can’t go wrong with this Artist.
I understand the hype; it smells great and has that tropical touch without being too fruity, the balance is spot on. It’s an all-rounder: if you don’t know what to wear, you can’t go wrong with this Artist.
I love this perfume for how versatile it is for any occasion: going to the beach, school, or the park, and it always works. At the opening, it smells very good, slightly sweet but not cloying. As it dries down, you notice that coconut and vanilla, and by the end, after two or three hours, it smells quite floral and very fresh.
Bought this for my brother today. I sprayed it on my arm and as it dried, it smelled like Channel Allure Homme Sport. It’s not the same at first, but after two hours it’s 100% him. Does anyone else experience this?
I love it; it smells incredible and I agree it’s the best in the line. However, the projection is a disaster and the trail is very weak. I soaked myself in it and nothing. On skin it’s moderate, no complaints, but on clothes it lasted the day.
I’m hooked on how versatile it is; it works at the beach, school or the park. It starts sweet on the skin without being cloying, dries down to reveal coconut and vanilla, and after two or three hours it becomes floral and super fresh.
Brutal fragrance, worth every penny. A pure 10/10; I’d buy it again without a second thought.
A rich perfume, totally worth the price, this is a 100/10; I would buy it again without hesitation.
It is a clone of Le Beau by Jean Paul Gaultier, perhaps with a more citrusy note and less coconut when dry. It is versatile; it is not a work of art or a compliment machine, but it is not overwhelming. It can be a daily option if you like a sweet beachy scent and a somewhat shy citrus.
Rich fragrance, citrus opening, a mix of bergamot, coconut and vanilla. Then it is a creamy coconut where the coconut, vanilla and amber stand out. Pity its longevity and projection; my original is well cared for but they are poor. If it were longer-lasting and projected better it would be 10/10, but I give it 7/10.
Very good perfume, quite similar to Le Beau by Jean Paul Gaultier. Honestly, it would be a good purchase; it does not disappoint.
I have had it for months. It smells good and is very similar to Le Beau EDT. However, it lasts less than mine in the basket and, unfortunately, I got a terrible atomiser that ‘cuts off’. Despite using it a lot, its longevity is poor, a maximum of 3 to 5 hours and very close to the skin. I don’t recommend it much.
Very good perfume, too rich. I recommend it for day and night; it has earned me compliments. But be careful, you need to reapply to maintain the projection, because without that it doesn’t last long. 7.5 out of 10.
Having tried both Le Beaus, this is a middle point with lower performance than the Parfum, with nothing of the Sauvage. Repurchase and try if you like that tone of perfumes. Don’t look for so many twists, apply and enjoy.
Good perfume, it has nothing to do with the JPG. I don’t know why they say it doesn’t last; it’s quite decent, about 4 hours with plenty, and if you reapply it is fine. When it dries, I only sense the tonka bean, the amber, and something fruity. It is versatile for any occasion.
If you like coconut, this is a bomb. It resembles Le Beau EDT but with a more citrusy touch and the same creaminess. It has a similar weight to the Parfum version, landing right in between the two. It lasts and projects more than enough; it smells of citrus coconut which then fades into a moderate vanilla, with a hint of pistachio or nut at the base. The coconut is always there, without smelling like a dessert or odd, with a light freshness. Very good.
I tried this red one and it tastes of coconut, yes, it tastes of summer. First coconut, then fruits, and finally amber. It is perfect for going to the beach with this red bottle.
I don’t understand those who say it doesn’t last or project. It is a rich perfume; it has lasted up to 10 hours on my skin and much longer on clothes, I’m not exaggerating. It is probably due to the pH that it doesn’t project as much. It is a luxury.
