It’s a super cosy fragrance, I’d define it as unisex. To make it last longer, the ideal is to use the body oil as a base; it works better than the cream from the same range.
It’s like the masculine version of this brand’s Iris: same sweetness, but the powdery notes are replaced by a sweet amber that gives it a more masculine touch. It’s very intense; once you wear it, you can’t escape it; just a few applications are enough. It smells great; it’s the perfect scent for autumn.
It’s delicious. It comes out powdery and then turns amber; on clothes it’s super cosy. I also bought the Ambre de Reminiscence, but I prefer Ambre Liquide for that vintage powdery touch that earns me many compliments, whereas the other is synthetic, heavy and linear. It has depth and niche quality, perhaps due to the styrax; it recalls old perfumes (floral, like Guerlain). Warm, balsamic, cosy and addictive. Quality-price is excellent. If you layer it with a floral soliflore, it’s madness. I’ve tried many niche scents and always return to this one.
I’m completely hooked on this fragrance and its entire body line. It’s a softened, woody, ambered and powdery vanilla, but nothing resembling feminine makeup; on my skin and nose, it smells different. It’s super enveloping and ‘loving’. One of the few that lasts for hours and hours. An Italian sold it to me and she found it very powdery, but on me it evolves into something balsamic. It’s already one of my top five favourites for heading to a deserted island. The price is a laugh and makes you wonder why high perfumery doesn’t lower prices if they double the quality (though we all know the answer).
I agree 100% with those who have already tried it. Ambre Liquide is a fascinating potion: amber with powdery touches, vanillaised and with citrus hints that, once dried, become warm and balsamic thanks to the benzoin. I see it as unisex, sweet and potent without being intrusive (in moderate climates). It has a vintage touch that suits it well. Lasts about 7-8 hours on the skin and the quality-price ratio is brilliant. This house keeps surprising.
