Descripción
Baquetón by Pisello Parfum is an aromatic fougère creation designed for both men and women. Launched in 2026, this new fragrance has been signed by perfumer Manuel Alejandro Bojorquez Segovia. Its olfactive composition begins with an explosion of mandarin, orange, neroli, bergamot and citrus in the top note. The heart reveals a complex harmony of violet, lavender, woody notes, jasmine, leather, rose, pepper, almond and sage. The base settles on a warm and persistent structure of suede, cedar, musk, amber, sandalwood, tonka bean and vanilla. Baquetón is the result of a collaboration between Pisello Parfum and Francisco de Paula.

Brutal evolution: starts with super-clean citrus and neroli, then leather, rich almond, and creamy sandal with amber give it a delicious, elegant twist. Perfect for day or night.

I was eager to try it because of the name; here in north-western Mexico, ‘Baquetón’ has a lot of history and is always associated with masculinity, like saying ‘anda de Baquetón’ when someone is a bit of a rogue. So I imagined a classic fougère or a chypre, the kind worn by the hairy-chested breed who hit the town on Friday and return on Monday to eat, perhaps with four kids in the cathedral and six in the chapels. But the notes aren’t bad; on my skin, the floral and musky notes stood out. The opening shines with citrus, but they aren’t sharp or bitter; they are round and accompanied by a very present sweetness that lasts until the end, probably vanilla with tonka bean. Then the florals come forward with sandalwood and almond, and that’s how it stays until it fades. I should clarify that this is on my skin, as I always get sweet and musky scents; I don’t know if others experience the same. Having said that, I feel it is very unisex and pleasant to the nose, a good aroma. I recommend it for its accessible price, come on!
Baquetón: crystalline citrus, not bitter or acidic, but sweet, juicy oranges like those you’d find in Acqua di Parma. Mature orange and mandarin, with neroli present but very subtle. For a few seconds, I thought: I’ve smelled this before. The answer is Dolce Gabbana Pour Homme. Yes, the opening follows that line. Then it evolves into an amber with a spiky leather note and lots of almond, almost heliotrope like in Pegasus, Pagani, or Acqua di Parma’s Vaniglia. The orange citrus never leaves; it returns thanks to the amber, the colour of the perfume’s juice: crystal orange with doses of fossilised amber. The almond-leather, semi-dusty note adds depth. Then I think again: I’ve smelled this before. Yes, it brings to mind Loewe’s Solo Esencial. Baquetón is the only son of an Italian (Dolce Gabbana Pour Homme) and a Spaniard (Loewe Solo Esencial). Same genetics as Luis Miguel, same shine as the sun. Baquetón is an easy, agreeable perfume that will make you stand out with its excellent performance. In a world of commercial, youthful, sweet perfumes, this DNA smells modern, playful, and winning. The price-to-quality ratio is marvellous. It could easily pass off as a Loewe scent. If you’re looking for a difficult niche perfume, this isn’t the place, because Che Luis, our dear Baquetón, like Luis Miguel, wants a skin-deep scent for when the sun is hot, at the beach or in the desert.
A perfume that captivates you from the opening, offering a blend of citrus where ‘green’ mandarin takes the lead alongside fresh bergamot. It evolves in a very interesting way, showing you different stages, moving from soft leather to a clean, soapy, and very neat note. It definitely doesn’t disappoint, and I would wear it at any time of day. Congratulations to Che Luis de los Perfumes on your first launch! 😎 Ufarufamarufaaaa!!!
Light citrus opening, then rose and pepper kick in; at first it smells like Toy Boy. Over time, a soft suede blends with sweet notes. I was surprised and I love it. Lasts 7–8 hours with good projection for the first hour and a half. Does the name fit a proper playboy? Yes, more than for seducing, it’s the perfume of a proper playboy.
I bought it excitedly because of the name; here in the north-west, ‘baquetón’ is slang for a virile man, like Che Luis in the film. I imagined a classic fougère or chypre for a guy with chest hair and a large family, but on my skin, the floral and musky notes really shine. The opening citrus is rounded, not sharp, with a sweet touch that lingers until the end, perhaps vanilla and tonka bean. In the dry down, the flowers, sandalwood, and almond dominate. It’s unisex, pleasant, and very accessible, so I recommend it with enthusiasm.
Straight out of the bottle, it’s crisp citrus, then the rose emerges with a peppery kick. Intriguingly, the first few minutes remind me of Toy Boy. After a couple of hours, a soft suede note appears, slightly sweet. I was genuinely surprised and I really like it. The longevity is good on me (7-8 hours) with about an hour and a half of projection. Is the name fitting for a Baquetón? I think so. Rather than a scent for seduction, this is the perfume of a proper, right-on Baquetón.
