It’s my personal fragrance: it costs an arm and a leg but is worth every penny. It smells of 18th-century rice powder with anise, like sniffing an old powder puff. When I spray it on the tube, everyone stops to smell the air with a strange look because they can’t tell what it smells like. It’s unique, there’s no comparison. Anyone who likes powdery scents will adore it. It’s fine, pure and elegant. The scent lasts all day without needing reapplication. Blanc Violette has my 10/10.

What a beautiful, elegant and delicate perfume. Blanc Violette doesn’t offend even the most demanding noses. It’s a violet unlike anything I’ve ever smelled, as if the stems were squeezed along with the flowers; very green at first. Mixed with rice and anise, it has that sweet and spicy touch I love, plus a discreet musk that gives it an air of cleanliness. No vanilla. It evokes a film of mist and rain, mysterious. Ideal for spring or autumn. Lasts about four hours with a light sillage, but I keep it for the sense of calm and sweetness it brings. Worth it. A 10 (if not for the longevity) because not all perfumes have to be a ‘hello, here I am’.

I always look for violet with powdery notes, so I closed my eyes and bought this. At first, on my skin, the anise and rice powder dominated; the flower was barely noticeable and smelled more like leaf than stem. Among this type, I prefer L’Heure Bleue by Guerlain or Flower by Kenzo. But then I used it again and now I do feel those sweet, powdery notes; it reminds me of those drop-shaped anise sweets I used to eat as a child. I’m starting to like it more.
