Descripción
BLV Pour Homme by Bvlgari is a woody spicy fragrance for men. Launched in 2001, this composition was created by perfumer Alberto Morillas. Its top notes of cardamom and sandalwood establish a warm and enveloping tone. The heart reveals a vibrant combination of ginger, juniper and galangal, while the base settles on a sophisticated accord of tobacco flower, green leaves and teak wood.

Very good; it’s a woody fragrance with an oriental touch.
Very fresh and woody, smells clean. Versatile, ideal for daytime use. I’ve received many compliments. The opening is fresh and intense, it resembles Allure a bit at first. Longevity is about 6 hours, moderate sillage. My score: 7/10.
The ginger is noticeable without being spicy; there are woody and aromatic notes over a clean, fresh base, not aquatic. It has a particular touch that makes it special, sophisticated and even unisex, perhaps it’s the tobacco flower. Longevity and sillage are medium. It’s neat and harmless, discreet but attractive. It’s not as powdery or formal as Prada’s Infusion d’Homme; it’s more versatile for everyday wear and doesn’t become monotonous.
Very good fragrance, masculine, elegant and fresh. Highly recommended. I give it 8.5 out of 10.
Very pleasant, masculine and elegant. Suitable for winter and summer. Opens strongly with cardamom and sandalwood, then becomes powdery, woody and herbal, with ginger in the middle. Highly recommended for those over 30.
I met it 13 years ago; a family friend brought it to me and I identified with it instantly. It seems like you’ve just stepped out of the shower, clean and pure. Then the ginger adds that seasoning that makes you feel imposing. I recommend it; it shouldn’t be missing from any lover of fine scents’ collection.
Clean, summery, soft and elegant. Refreshing like a blast of cold air. Imagine being at the beach at sunset, just showered and dressed up for the evening, feeling handsome and well-groomed. That’s the exact feeling. I love it.
BLV is a lovely summer woody scent. It starts with fresh ginger and cardamom, moves to wood, and finishes powdery with a cerulean touch and that vinyl note from the millennium-era perfumes. When I’m saturated with heavy ouds and leathers, this perfume rests my nose and me, enchanted by its simplicity. Morillas plays with four ingredients and excels through simplicity. Longevity and sillage are light, as with everything from the house.
One of my favourites; I bought it blind and loved it. I chose Morillas because Bvlgari doesn’t do silly things. It’s an exquisite scent, delicate like luxury powder puffs. The blue bottle evokes a fairytale, ethereal and dreamy, nothing cheesy. It reminds me of Midnight in Paris by Van Cleef, two blue bottles that look like constellations. At first I thought it didn’t last, but my nose gets used to it and now it’s persistent with soft bursts. It goes with any occasion, no one complains. It’s the olfactory fantasy we had when we believed in the Three Kings. Score: 9. Scent: 9, sillage: 7, longevity: 8, performance: 8.
Alberto Morillas demonstrates his mastery of freshness once again. BLV isn’t just another aquatic; it has that soapy, clean touch with ginger taking the lead, giving it character. Projection is moderate, noticeable without being overpowering. It suits me perfectly, though some younger people might find it a bit much. Unique, there’s nothing like it. Scent: 8, longevity: 7, sillage: 7.
Unique fragrance, aromatic with a talcum touch that gives it an atypical elegance. On my skin the trail is moderate, the ginger stands out and the longevity is high. I love it and recommend it to men with exotic scents and contemporary tastes.
Exquisite for everyday wear. Fresh, clean and not overpowering. If it had a weak point, it would be its poor longevity.
Very good scent, but on my husband it lasts hardly anything. A maximum of an hour and then it disappears.
Exquisite fragrance, subtle, creamy and addictive. It’s a pleasure for the senses. Ideal for summer, especially by the coast. Good fixation and trail.
Soft and weak, little projection and poor longevity. It’s a pretty but fleeting scent. I had it six years ago and didn’t repeat it; it’s not my style.
I used it in 2006. It’s fresh, like baby powder. The trail is low to moderate, which is perfect for this fresh woody and talcum scent; more wouldn’t seem necessary. The longevity is good, around 11-12 hours. A Morillas gem that deserves more recognition.
It was one of my first perfumes and perhaps the most hated after Pleasures. It smells sweet and pleasant at first, but then it bores me immensely. It doesn’t smell bad, but it seems to try too hard and lacks personality. I left it in the car for my friends at parties; it took ages to finish because everyone loved it, but then, like me, they wished the scent would go away.
I tried it yesterday at ECI thinking about buying it online. It smells simple and very elegant: fresh, with a talcum scent, a touch of sweet ginger and a base of tobacco and wood. Very masculine. The problem is my skin; with just four sprays, it’s skin-scent only after 10 minutes. A Zara for 13 euros has more projection. A pity, because if it had lasted two hours I would have bought it, but for it to be noticeable they’d need 12-14 sprays.
I gifted it to my husband without testing it first, trusting the brand. At first, I thought: ‘I’ve messed up, I hate it’. However, over time, it becomes pleasant, summery, youthful and ideal for hot days. Perhaps it’s not the best for a mature man.
The attraction is an innate magnetism, something that needs rediscovering. Brands like Prada, Gucci and Bvlgari usually let me down, but Blv pour Homme is different: clean, fresh, talcum-powdered and super elegant. Its blend of rare yet appealing scents is subtle, and although it’s a 2005 batch, it still holds up decently for a few hours. Perfect for a first date or a romantic evening; it envelops you in a distinguished tone and makes you more attractive. I’ll try the modern version and see how it goes.
It is curious that most perceive baby powder and soap. To me, neither. I smell a very woody and spicy perfume with lots of sandalwood, ginger, galangal and tobacco flower. It does not smell clean, quite the opposite. I like it very much for its originality and zero mass appeal.
It smells like soap. It seemed fresh to me, quite synthetic but clean. It smells like hand soap from the start. In the dry-down, something sweet (plastic) appears that detracts from the quality. It has good longevity and a moderate trail. The bottle and sprayer are normal, not impressive. My wife loved it. I liked the scent, but I noted it was of low quality, perhaps because I had worn Bleu Parfum on another wrist or had been using Mirto di Panarea for days, to which it resembled slightly. I do not think I will buy it, but I will give it another chance.
It is a rich, talcum and aquatic fragrance, with occasional baby powder notes. It is more for a personal taste than to attract attention. It is suitable for being with your partner in something intimate because it is soft and stays well. Its trail is regular, noticeable but not as overwhelming as a Mugler A-mén. I will not buy it again as there are options with better performance, as its longevity is not much.
I liked it a lot; it is unisex in my opinion. The only drawback is that on my skin it does not last more than two hours. I asked some friends and they liked it. I detect a citrus touch at the beginning and it is super fresh, something you can wear during the day, especially in spring.
Another Bulgari rip-off I bought on offer at an outlet in Orlando in 2019. There was no tester, but I recall that in 2003-2004 it was spicier, with clean, intense ginger and good performance. In those difficult times, my collection consisted of Kenzo, Carolina 212 and Cool Water. According to my partner, this is the blandest perfume I own; it is a 2018 original batch and well-closed, but I agree: it is bland and its longevity is terrible, projecting for an hour and then fading to skin scent within three hours. I believe the last reformulation created this inert monstrosity. I still have 90% of the bottle taking up space it does not deserve. I do not like to write negative reviews, but it is so you do not make my mistake: do not buy blindly and always test the latest version, as reformulations are ruining this sensory vice.
It smells like Nivea cream.
Recently I managed to get a bottle from the 2004 batch and we loved it so much we bought another from 2014. The surprise was the difference: the first has a chrome neck and cap, while the second is matte silver plastic. The 2004 bottle is wider, better made, and the blue is not translucent like in the 2014, which shows visual degradation. Olfactorily, the 2014 is more citrusy, but the 2004 has an oily touch on application that suggests better longevity. I took a while to fall in love with this exotic scent, but time did its job. My wife loved it so much she used 10ml in five days. It is a must if you collect and connect with fragrance.
The BLV family was a hit in the 2000s and has stood the test of time. This BLV Pour Homme is still available in physical stores, unlike the rest. It can easily be your signature scent; it is curious how similar they are. While the Pour Homme was the softer of the two, the NOTTE for men resembled the feminine version, and the NOTTE Pour Elle stood out for its alcohol notes and sensuality. Those that no longer exist are mourned by many. A genius by Alberto Morillas for Bulgari at the start of the millennium.
The smell is rich and super fresh, though at first it reminds me of CK One and disappoints. On my skin and on my husband’s, it lasts less than an hour; after three hours it’s as if I never wore it. I wonder if it has been reformulated, as I have read the longevity is long, but on us it disappears in nothing. A total letdown.
On application, my girlfriend complains immediately, but after half an hour the magic happens: the scent becomes sticky and addictive. It is exquisite, polished and sexy. It is one of my treasures, to the point where I bought two bottles for stock as it is no longer in production. (9/10)
Bacht from 2019; on my skin, it lasts perfectly for 5 to 6 hours, and on clothes, it exceeds 12 hours. In my case, I find no difference in longevity compared to the 2009 version, which was the first time I used it.
This good Bvlgari fragrance is neat and masculine; in its dry-down, it is very, very similar to a designer masterpiece: The Dreamer by Versace. Nothing more to add.
A 2001 perfume (Space Odyssey), a year full of novelties like Paco Rabanne’s Ultra Violet. Back then, I didn’t pay much attention to it because other recent releases offered greater trail and longevity, with beastly projection; Cristóbal de Balenciaga, Pí GIVENCHY, Insense, and others were fresh from the oven. Time passes and tastes change, and now I’ve discovered that this BLV is a favourite of mine. Yes, I would have preferred NOTTE, but it disappeared along with the women’s fragrances. Although all four shared many similarities, I believe Morillas was in one of his best moments. On my skin, it has excellent longevity and projects moderately, but others do notice it. It’s versatile, perhaps better in intermediate seasons, with both day and night possibilities. The opening and first phase are bubbly and fresh, very pleasant overall. Later, there’s a second phase where the perfume sharpens, becomes more woody and spiced, and above all, gains much more strength and presence. Surprisingly, it has turned out to be a very sensual fragrance, without renouncing the elegance made by Morillas, but sensually suggestive. For my nose, the Galanga, tobacco leaves, and teak wood offer an exotic plus (this was even more evident in NOTTE), apart from a very realistic ginger. However, it’s true that this review is from the tester in the perfumery, as it doesn’t perform the same at home.
It was good, but sometimes it didn’t seem very masculine. Pleasant and floral, yet it doesn’t go unnoticed.
I always dreamed of this scent, but when I tried it, it seemed excessively powdery. I’m not sure if it’s the original or a derivative, as it simply didn’t convince me; it felt too feminine.
I’ve been wearing this fragrance for twenty years: it’s an impeccable, fresh scent that gives you energy, with unique nuances unlike anything else. Unfortunately, the latest bottles barely last an hour or two. I’ve spoken to other users and they all agree: poor projection and poor longevity. The scent remains the same as previous versions, but it’s a pity it now fades so quickly. As a creation, it’s a ten, but it had much better times.
Bad news: Bvlgari has pulled BLV from the market. It was excellent, unassuming, and perfect for personal enjoyment, lasting at least five hours smelling clean on my skin (though it lasts less on me). It sold well here, but it wasn’t popular in China, so they removed it worldwide. They also discontinued Petit & Mamas, an ideal gift for mums with babies. Their current strategy is to please China, even reformulating Black pour Homme. They’re taking away a classic which, since the reformulation, has become quite diluted.
It’s clean, but not immaculate; it has a metallic touch and something sweet, sometimes reminding me of JPG. I gifted it because it didn’t quite convince me. It doesn’t give the impression of anything. If they have discontinued it, it’s not a great loss; don’t waste your money if you were planning to buy it.
A bittersweet goodbye: they discontinued it, and this new bottle has delighted some while disappointing others. When I smelled it at the counter, its performance, development, and scent were different. If it returns, let it be done properly. I have a little of the new version left, though I always preferred BLV NOTTE.
I tried this back in 2006 and absolutely loved it; it smells like a freshly born baby, fresh and clean. On my skin, it lasted quite a while and left a soft to moderate trail. I really enjoyed it, but only bought it once. After using it up, I preferred to try more mature fragrances.
