It’s perfect, I love its scent; it’s sweet but not cloying, it really smells of orange blossom, and it has very good longevity. It’s very similar to, if not identical to, L’Artisan’s ‘Seville at Dawn’, and on top of that, it’s much cheaper; the quality-price ratio is excellent, what more could you ask for?!!.
Another gem from Le Couvent des Minimes that has won my heart! At first, it smells like an explosion of orange blossom; if you like this flower, you’ll love this perfume. As Jasonita says, it’s sweet but not cloying. It smells very much of orange; it’s juicy and pleasant. The orange blossom here is very similar to the one in Love by Kilian; it’s beautiful. Despite being an eau de cologne, it has the longevity and projection of an EDP; it’s very fresh yet also elegant and sophisticated; it’s perfect for summer. Also, I can’t pass up the detail that it’s composed of natural ingredients and the price is great. — By the way, the perfume is sweet, VERY sweet… so if you’re looking for fresh, acidic, and sparkling citrus, definitely not here (:
A fragrance that reminded me quite a bit of Christian Dior’s Cruise Collection Escale à Pondichéry, or the Un Jardin collection by Hermès, and of course Angel Schlesser’s Orange Blossom. It’s truly a fragrance of exquisite craftsmanship, well-made. The orange blossom and citrus (presented delicately to the olfactory senses) capture all the attention in this fragrance. Again, the case of a fragrance declared UNISEX, which I consider feminine (perhaps due to the rose or another note I can’t distinguish). Needless to say, it’s ideal for warm, wild settings.
When I saw the notes on Fragrantica, I thought it would be a fantastic cologne and had it in mind, but after trying it, I gave up. Although it smells nice, my nose detects a chemical tinge that my stomach rejects (especially at the end when it fades along with the scent), plus that bitter orange peel note that I usually don’t like. That said, it’s my personal taste; I’m not saying it doesn’t smell good—it’s a pleasant blend of orange blossom with a hint of vanilla and citrus (mostly orange). At first, a fresh flash of petit grain (always surrounded by orange blossom) that disappears until only the sweetish mix of orange blossom and orange remains (well done, with peel but no bitterness), with a touch of bergamot that I sometimes feel a bit mentholated (not fresh mint, but the green menthol my grandmother used when she had a headache). The rose and capuchin go almost unnoticed; perhaps they’d emerge with more heat… This fragrance brings me a certain nostalgia (maybe that’s the real reason I took it off my ‘want’ list); not a memory, but an image of the countryside, a little garden in a village house, the possible scent of pretty, simple women back in the 30s-40s… I think of an old mirror my grandmother had on a wall (now a relic of unknown whereabouts taken by some relative), with a photo of a lady in a simple blue dress in a summer garden… this makes me sad… I think I’ve reached the bottom of my rejection 🙁 I think it’s a fragrance for personal enjoyment; its light trail behaves like an aromatic layer that tends to blend with the skin. If you want to feel it all day, I recommend reapplying… unless you put it on clothes or a handkerchief, where it will impregnate much better and undoubtedly last longer. I agree with Shiseido that it’s a bit like Angel Schlesser’s ‘Orange Blossom’, but not with the others he mentioned… I don’t know the L’Artisan one.
It’s the ideal citrus fragrance for me, a true delight that I’d love to last longer.
