Brand new fragrance. The pepper and ginger are very prominent, with a very natural vetiver at the base. There’s a hint of lavender, but it’s very subtle. In the heart, I detect something fruity, possibly a touch of mango, though I’m not entirely sure. Throughout its development, there’s a noticeable leather note, but it’s very light, making it wearable even in heat without being overpowering. The longevity is short for an Aramis scent; it projected for about an hour and a half and lasted around five hours on the skin. Another good Aramis perfume, though this time it’s not as spectacular as we’re used to from the house. Final rating: 8.5. I picked it up for $18, so if you can grab it on offer, I think it’s worth it.
I’ve tried it several times now and I must say I absolutely love it, changing my previous opinion. Aramis surprises again with distinct proposals, and this is no exception. The dominant notes are ginger and black pepper, plus chamomile! I’m sure it has it because it sometimes reminds me of chamomile infusions. In the base, I detect sandalwood or some soft wood. I’m very pleased that it moves away from those vague, sweet, characterless fresh scents of today. Undoubtedly it nods to its mother fragrance, with a certain retro yet updated air. It’s not a beast in terms of projection or longevity, nor is it as shy as other fresher, much more expensive fragrances. On my skin (which doesn’t hold fragrances very well), it lasts about seven hours, projecting for about three, which is excellent for a fresh scent. I think it will soon be hard to find, but if you see it around at a good price, it’s definitely worth it.
