Globe by Rochas is a leather fragrance for men. Launched in 1990, the nose behind this composition is Jean-Claude Ellena. The top notes are bergamot, hyssop, lemon, coriander and cumin; the heart notes include fir, carnation, rose, jasmine, geranium, lily of the valley, marigold and thyme; while the base notes reveal leather, labdanum, sandalwood, vetiver, musk, patchouli and cedar.

Uuuuhh, what an incredible fragrance, it’s extraordinary, citrusy and sweet like an orange caramel. I wore it in the 90s and liked it a lot. As the hours passed, it became powdery and talcum-like, but it kept that initial sweetness and the citrus notes. I found it very sensual.
This perfume needs to be defended. That leather with pine is truly heavy, a quintessential 90s scent with a complex pyramid. Masculine without reservation, it creates an immediate effect. Best in the cold, with longevity that no longer exists and a notable trail. I adore having it in my collection; I love it on cold nights, it makes you feel secure. Sometimes I just open it to smell the spray.
A great perfume, smelling of skin, with incredible longevity ideal for night parties and close contact, seductive. It has been discontinued and original bottles are hard to find.
I agree with Álvaro González Flores; the description was spot on, the notes were identified perfectly. I loved it, but it gave me a headache almost instantly. The bottle was very cool.
In the 90s, we all had one. It was a massive hit, of course without the competition we have now. It wasn’t overpowering, but it was very well made by Elena: woods, leather, and sweet-floral touches. It reached everywhere, even out to the cod fishing routes. Fleeting, it triumphed and vanished in a flash. The memories it evokes could not be better.
Rochas Globe. I owned it many years ago. I remember it as an 80s fragrance, with leather and wood. A product of its time. I have no special memory of it. It passed without glory or shame. Rating: 4/10.
