It’s totally different from the Mayar EDP Rose. I love its freshness; on the skin it feels very clean and the scent is bold. You’ll surely love it for its floral and fruity notes. I recommend it for these days of intense heat.
If you were planning to buy this flanker because you loved the original Mayar, umm, I wouldn’t be so sure. It smells of green leaves and coconut water; when it dries, there’s a touch of vanilla but nothing sweet. It’s very fresh, perhaps for the beach or intense heat when you’re seeking something cooling. It’s not invasive, more on the soft side.
I’m sticking with the Mayar Rose because I’m quite gourmand; this smells extraordinary, a fig-forward fragrance that’s nothing short of lovely yet not overpowering. It’s soft and fresh, elegant enough to feel clean and crisp. I’m not sure if I’d buy it again.
A refreshing and gentle perfume, perfect for days of intense heat. It’s very different from the Mayar EDP Rose: prominent coconut water notes with a herbal citrus base, rich and pleasant, but nothing like the previous version. Recommended for its freshness and delicacy, but make sure to try it first; don’t buy blind.
It’s a perfume that smells delicious. I wear it with an elegant and fresh vibe, but with a subtle sweet touch that makes it very feminine. I bought it blind and I absolutely loved it.
It’s a perfume that smells absolutely delicious. It carries an elegant and fresh vibe, yet has a subtle sweet touch that makes it very feminine. I bought it blind and it definitely turned out to be a winner.
I bought Mayar (rose) blind and didn’t like it; for me, the opening is very synthetic and the raspberry note is too prominent, which I didn’t enjoy. I mention this because I arrived at this version with doubts, however, a friend gifted me a decant to try it. So, the first thing I want to say is that they don’t resemble each other. Unlike Mayar, this one isn’t synthetic in the opening. Since I atomised it, it reminded me of a scent I wore in my adolescence, but I can’t recall which one now. The initial notes seem fresh; it’s a scent perceived in a tray of tropical fruits, then it becomes very green, yet not unpleasant, I think it’s due to the water lily or lotus. For me, it’s a green tropical scent; I don’t feel it as sweet or woody. In short, it’s tropical fruits with a green sensation, I consider it suitable for spring and summer.
It’s a fresh, white floral, aquatic scent with a delicately sweet touch. It feels casual yet elegantly so, perfect for a sunny day with a sexy short and a white blouse. It’s a simple but lovely fragrance, unfortunately it doesn’t project well on me and doesn’t last more than two hours. Would I buy it again? No.
Totally different from Mayar, this one is very fresh, ideal for daytime and warm weather, and looks spectacular. I detect a green aromatic note in the opening, which softens as it dries down to become more floral. I like it. Pity that it doesn’t last long on my skin.
It exceeded my expectations; what a delicious fragrance. The opening is an explosion of green mandarin and melon that feels so natural, as if you were drinking a chilled homemade juice. Throughout the life of the scent, coconut water with jasmine and musk takes the lead, all accompanied by a base of lily and lotus that give it an aquatic touch without veering into a hospital smell, offering perfect freshness for summer. On my skin, it lasts all day with moderate projection. I always have issues with synthetic fruity scents, and this is the complete opposite. In my opinion, it must be the best-fresh fragrance Lattafa has achieved to date and has quickly become one of my favourites, as I was searching for a fresh, summery scent that wasn’t the typical aquatic citrus.
Exceeded my expectations. What a delicious fragrance. The opening is an explosion of green mandarin and melon that feels so natural, as if you were drinking a chilled homemade juice. Throughout the scent, coconut water with jasmine and musk takes centre stage, accompanied by a base of lily and lotus that gives it an aquatic touch without that hospital-like smell sometimes associated with lotus, delivering perfect freshness for summer. On my skin, it lasts all day with moderate projection. I always struggle with synthetic fruity scents, but Mayar Natural Intense is the complete opposite. In my opinion, it should be the best fresh fragrance Lattafa has achieved so far and is already one of my favourites; I was looking for something summery that wasn’t the typical aquatic citrus.
I wonder if those who find it similar to Aqua di Gioia have had the same experience, because they bear no resemblance to each other. That said: a fresh, very green perfume, perfect for enjoying on hot days. It’s not overpowering and leaves a pleasant trail, like a cologne, for several hours. It picks up strength with the heat. The most noticeable notes are white flowers (jasmine) and small fruits I can’t quite identify. In short, super pleasant for feeling perfumed in the heat, even if it’s subtle for others.
I wonder if those who think it sounds similar to Aqua di Gioia have ever actually smelled that perfume, because they bear no resemblance to each other. That said: it’s fresh, very green, and perfect for enjoying on hot days or in warm climates. It’s not overpowering and leaves a very pleasant trail, like a cologne, for quite a few hours. It gains strength with the heat. The notes that are most noticeable are the white flowers (jasmine) and some fruits I can’t quite identify. In short, it’s super pleasant for feeling perfumed on hot days; although it’s soft, others seem to pick it up.
The scent is delicious, but it doesn’t project. You have to get close for others to smell it. Good longevity.
Who said it was the dupe for ACQUA DI GIOIA? That’s the biggest con artist. I bought it for that reason and felt ripped off. It doesn’t even remotely smell like the wonderful Armani masterpiece. It’s just a ‘mehh’. I’ll never buy it again.
To be honest, I didn’t expect much from this perfume and was pleasantly surprised. I thought it would be just another generic freshie, but it isn’t; it’s fresh yet complex, anything but linear, with so many layers which is brilliant. You can detect the fig, the melon… The scent is elegant but informal enough for daytime. The turquoise bottle is gorgeous and the longevity is good. I also own the pink Mayar, which is an absolutely delicious explosion of passionfruit. These Lattafa siblings are top-quality.
I usually prefer fresh, floral and fruity scents. I thought this would be fresh as I read, but on me it smells sweet. The top notes are indeed citrusy; you can detect green mandarin and fig, but then it turns sweet. It gave me a headache and my boyfriend did too. I would not buy it again.
This year’s launch being a flanker of Mayar completely sets itself apart from its sister; their personalities are opposites for the better I like that both have their own vibe. It’s not something that turns your head but it is refreshing lively energetic and easy to wear loaded with aromas from the late 90s and early 2000s so ozonic aquatic and clean. First you enjoy slightly bitter but pleasant citrus then it blends with fused coconut water and fig you don’t know where the coconut starts and ends as it turns into fig and immediately the water lily and jasmine appear so fragrant and radiant always the protagonists without losing the supporting ozonic notes. I like its full-of-life and fresh feeling with many layers in its evolution. Mayar Natural Intense can be worn by a gentleman and looks good but it also fits perfectly with the female ph. It’s great for informal occasions the office and intense heat; it lasts about six hours with moderate projection.
I bought it for very hot days and find it very fresh but its fruity opening doesn’t convince me. For me the melon and fig are sweet and tender and the citrus with coconut doesn’t last long. On my skin it smells like tender melon fruit water and a bit of flowers. What stands out most is the melon. Although it’s aquatic don’t confuse it with a citrus. Good longevity and moderate trail ideal for summer.
I sprayed two sprays on each arm: at first it smells strongly of alcohol but after two minutes the fruits come out and by 15 minutes the flowers. Ideal for dry summers (22-35 degrees). It lasted two hours with projection and then only close to the skin until 7 or 8. I’ll see if my girlfriend gets different longevity from it. Here it costs 22-27 dollars.
I tried a decant with high expectations of feeling fruits embraced by clean aquatic flowers with a light dry-down. And honestly it killed me in the worst way. It could have been an excellent perfume an icon in this olfactive family but to me it’s very poorly balanced. I couldn’t enjoy the fruits because the lotus flower felt very sharp enhancing that soapy smell with the water lily and coconut water; by the end of the hours it became very tiring. It’s not that it’s a clean scent; it smells like cheap soap. If the aquatic notes were of better quality (they smell very synthetic) it could improve. But the fruits have no presence as if they don’t exist. If you like smelling soapy and hyper-aquatic it’s yours. For me a bad experience 🤧
It smells acidic sweet and clean. It’s super summery and fresh. For me Acqua Di Gioia doesn’t last or I have to apply too much but this one does last and is versatile for day or night. I was surprised by how rich it is; it’s not the same as Acqua di Gioia but it’s beautiful. Perfect for going out in summer or spring for all ages if you like fresh floral and fig notes.
Yesterday I said I didn’t like Arabic perfumes in the Yara Moi review but I was hugely surprised by Mayar Intense: it’s complex very fresh and vibrant. I applied it to my wrist took a shower and I’m still feeling it with a wonderful trail especially for summer in Chile. Update: now it lasts a maximum of three hours then I have to reapply; it doesn’t project much but if you get close you can smell it.
It smells good but at first a green note stood out on my skin very similar to Burberry Touch when first applied. Then you feel the melon note and those well-Caribbean aquatic notes like my island. What’s left last on the skin is the sweetness of the fig. It has good performance perfect for hot days or even winter.
Love at first sniff; I was sure I’d adore it. I bought a decant and confirmed it’s a perfume I need in my collection: green fruity and aquatic with a sweet touch. I don’t know the Aqua Di Gioia that they claim is a dupe but I highly recommend this one: good beautiful and cheap. I can’t say much about the longevity as I only tried it recently but for me most last between five and six hours on the skin. What is true is that it has a more intimate projection.
It’s an attempt at Acqua di Gioia: it smells nice and is pleasant but ultimately it comes across as much sweeter. At first the alcohol is quite noticeable. We know you can’t match the original by Giorgio Armani but it’s one of the most harmonious attempts I’ve tried. Some will love it while others might think it’s a cheap copy. I recommend trying it and drawing your own conclusions.
It doesn’t sit right with me that people say it doesn’t smell like Acqua di Gioia. I’ve worn the original for ten years but since I tried Mayar Natural Intense I adopted it and left the other behind. This one lasts longer and smells just as good plus the price difference is huge. If you like ADG you have to try this.
I’ve just received and tried it. It smells very pleasant, totally aquatic and ozonic. The opening doesn’t quite take my fancy, but after five minutes it becomes something very subtle. I really like the lily and green notes. It’s perfect for hot days. I’ll see how long it lasts on skin and clothes. It’s an easy-to-wear scent, nothing groundbreaking, but pleasant for taking to work or to enclosed, hot places. It evokes cleanliness and tidiness. The trail is medium/low on my skin. I’ve used Armani’s ADG before and wouldn’t consider it a clone, although they share notes; they’re different, the vibe is distinct, but both are rich for the heat.
I love it; it smells wonderful and lasts quite a while on the skin, around six hours. It’s a creamy fig accompanied by coconut and melon, giving off a very tropical feel. I adore it because it’s tropical but doesn’t smell like suntan lotion.
I absolutely love it; it smells delicious and lasts quite a long time on the skin, around six hours. It’s a creamy fig with coconut and melon that gives off a very tropical vibe. I’m thrilled because it’s tropical yet doesn’t smell like sunscreen, which is a relief.
Many say it’s a dupe for Aqua Di Gioia; the worst lie. Aqua Di Gioia smells of fresh mint with lime and sugar, very fresh; Mayar Natural Intense smells of vanilla and coconut very quickly; it is not fresh at all. At first, it smells of grass in a bad way, freshly cut grass, but not fresh grass, rather that unpleasant grass that doesn’t smell good… it then turns to smell of coconut and finally vanilla; I didn’t like it at all. I love the classic Mayar and let myself be swayed by the positive reviews, but I didn’t like it; I was greatly disappointed. Perhaps I would like it more if it were green-vanilla like Aura by Mugler, but it falls very short; it is just green with coconut and vanilla, a combination that seems very strange to me.
I hate marine, melon, and citrus scents, but I wanted to break the mould with this perfume and I have no regrets. It doesn’t smell too much of the sea or of melon; it’s clean. Ideal for daily summer wear and for showing off its fragrance.
People claim it’s a cheap clone of Aqua Di Giogia, which is a lie. The original smells of mint, lime and sugar, super fresh. This one, however, turns into vanilla and coconut quickly, nothing fresh. At first it smells of freshly cut grass, but that kind of grass that doesn’t smell clean. Then it moves to coconut and vanilla, and to be honest, I didn’t like it. I adore the classic Mayar and trusted the good reviews, but it disappointed me. Perhaps I would have preferred it green with vanilla like the Mugler Aura, but it falls short: it’s just green with coconut and vanilla, a strange mix for me.
To me, it smells like men’s deodorant, but at least I tested it on a decant. Forget the reviews claiming it smells like fig; it’s a chaotic mix of fruits with a very synthetic marine note.
I had high expectations; it doesn’t dislike me, but I don’t find it fresh or aquatic. Melon, coconut and vanilla dominate, which in my opinion are more of a winter scent. I’m wearing it in summer and I don’t think it’s for this season.
I tried it in the shop and I must say it smelled of floor disinfectant to me, as fabulous or mistolin.
It’s an interesting cocktail at first, with melon and coconut water. After a few hours, in my case with a slightly more acidic pH, I feel it becomes more resinous and leans towards amber. It’s economical and smells fine to me; if you apply just three drops, people notice it on the street, but be careful with the quantity.
Absolutely not! I bought it blindly hoping for something aquatic and fresh, but this scent is utterly unpleasant, likely due to the melon note which I absolutely detest. Personally, there is nothing positive about it; I didn’t even bother applying it. I’ve kept it stored, hoping it will mellow out enough to give it another chance. The moment I uncapped it to smell, nothing appealed to me. A few days ago I tried the Orientica Azure Fantasy Turquoise and UFF – that one smells wonderful, slightly masculine, and I’d use it a thousand times before this Mayar!
Bought it blindly, guided by the notes and reviews, and what a mistake! At first, upon application, I thought: how lovely! The opening is super fresh and aquatic as expected. But then things got heavy until it gave me nausea. Still, I gave it another chance with less quantity, thinking I had over-applied the first time. I applied it again and liked it at first, but after a few hours that bitter smell (perhaps from the water lily or fig) returned, which is the worst part: it’s long-lasting and projects massively; I couldn’t find a moment to take it off. In short, for me it’s a resounding NO. I wouldn’t buy or gift it again, as I believe it’s a fragrance that won’t suit everyone.
