  Indeed, it is a powdery, realistic mimosa that is far too dominant for my taste. I prefer mimosa blended with other flowers, and if I’m looking for that powdery touch, the ideal pairing is with iris, not violet. Once it settles well on the skin, it becomes a little cloying. It is not my taste at all.

  Full notes: violet absolute, mimosa absolute, sandalwood oil, bergamot essence, Madagascar ginger essence, black pepper essence, and fair-trade Madagascar vanilla extract. In the stifling heat, it opens super ozonic before settling into floral. It smells mainly of violet leaves and ginger. As it dries down, the mimosa starts to stand out, while the violet recedes to the background and the ginger disappears. The final dry-down becomes noticeable about two hours after application; here, the ozonic accord stays in the background to be superseded by sandalwood and vanilla, which have quite an oily texture. At more moderate temperatures, the floral aspect leans towards a soft, green floral with sweet touches of violets and mimosas. It projects for a minimum of nine hours, but you have to be fairly liberal with the atomiser to make it noticeable. A pleasant and feminine perfume, very office-friendly and somewhat mature. I’d wear it without hesitation, but I don’t identify with it; however, it could work as a signature scent for someone who prefers docile, floral fragrances.
