Navus by Navitus Parfums is a fragrance from the olfactive family for men and women. Launched in 2019, this composition was created by perfumer Christian Carbonnel. The top notes unfold a vibrant freshness with grapefruit, bergamot, neroli, orange, juniper berries and pink pepper; the heart reveals a floral and amber elegance with ylang-ylang, jasmine, amber and rose; while the base notes offer a warm and persistent foundation of vetiver, musk and cedar.

I think I’m the first to write this in Spanish about this gem that I dared to buy blind thanks to ScentXplore 2021, where I got the bug. Navus wasn’t my only purchase back then, but it’s undoubtedly the one that has won my heart the most. Ideal for spring and summer, or even autumn if the weather is kind. It smells like a spark and energy from the first spray. Yes, people criticise that it resembles Roja Elysium in notes and bottle, but Navus not only matches it in quality but beats it in longevity. It’s citrusy, fresh, with a soapy touch from the neroli and musk, and a woody base that simply makes you want to pull out your hairbrush. Totally recommended.
I admit that on first sniff it gave me an Elysium vibe, but beware, it’s not the same. I bought it blind and I don’t regret it for a second, although Elysium remains Elysium and comparing them is a sin for me. Navus has good quality, but if you’re looking for a clone, look elsewhere.
I’ve been absolutely smitten. That blend of citrus with ylang and vetiver smells like celery, yet it’s the most elegant version one could imagine. I haven’t tested how long it lasts yet, but so far it’s a ten.
