  • Very fresh for spring-summer. I tested it yesterday and liked it. The citrus acidity lasts 7-8 hours; in the dry down it becomes marine and aquatic close to the skin. It’s on my wishlist. Hugo Boss is quality!

  • I tested it and initially sensed mixed citrus and spices. After an hour it found its path: citrus, cool, with vibrant bergamot. It’s good.

  • Citrusy, fresh, bitter, and cool as @jimblue says. It’s refreshing and pleasant. Well-made, more so than I expected, without grand pretensions. Dries to a sweet vetiver. Performance is weak, poor in that aspect, but not bad; I expected less. I would use it regularly if not for the short longevity. REFLECTION: I noticed that good fragrances with decent performance, like Acqua di Gio Essenza or Mercedes Benz Cologne, mysteriously disappear. Do they want to leave us with only the dregs?

  • Very fresh and rich, but as often happens with Hugo, after 40 minutes there’s nothing left. Pure illusion or disappointment if you buy it solely for the opening.

  • I really liked it. In CDMX it leaves a trail for about 5 hours close to the skin. Recommended.

  • Hugo Reversed is fresh, citrusy, and slightly marine. It opens citrusy and bitter, like the rind of a fruit. Then you notice soft salty notes, like the sea, perhaps from the skin or the perfume. In the dry down, citrus and a shy wood. Ideal for spring/summer due to its refreshment. Longevity is 6 hours, acceptable but projection is weak. A good option for Mexican heat, and it seems to be a limited edition.

Hugo Reversed is fresh, citrusy, with a marine touch. It opens with the zest of a bitter citrus, then a subtle salty note emerges, like the sea, perhaps from the skin or the scent itself. In the dry down, it settles into citrus and a shy wood. Ideal for spring/summer days due to its refreshment. Longevity is around 6 hours, acceptable but projection is weak. A good option for Mexican heat, and it seems to be a limited edition.

I am pleasantly surprised. It is absolutely delicious. With good performance, it smells like the freshness of a summer morning. The creamy citrus note stands out, boosted by grapefruit, which harmonises the freshness with woods, giving it a clean, fresh-sweet character. Suitable for any age and mainly for daytime. A modern fragrance, with Mediterranean hints and a versatile daytime profile. A good scent that lifts the mood.

  • I was surprised: first because Hugo fragrances never convince me, and second because I only tried it out of curiosity. It turned out to be too good; a flawless citrus bomb that brings unparalleled cleanliness and freshness, very wearable. Everyone says it’s for spring-summer, but I’ll restrict it to summer and daytime use. I didn’t quite catch the rosemary, but there is a present aromatic note. In the final phase, if you smell it, it’s weak citrus sustained by a very soft woody base. I hope to acquire it soon. Edited: after several attempts, on my skin the citrus smells like disinfectant or lemon detergent, a pity; it didn’t fully convince me.

I loved it. It’s simple, fulfils its purpose, aromatic and citrusy, ideal for warm and sunny climates, for going to work and casual outings. Very cheerful; it feels captivating with those notes of grapefruit, rosemary, and a woody touch that sits beautifully on my skin.

I don’t own it, but yesterday a friend tried it and the poor soul filled the room with his aroma; it seemed he’d been wearing it for hours. Smelled wonderful, too much so.

  • Fresh, citrusy, and clean, addictive yet personal. 6-7 sprays project for 30-45 minutes at a metre, then fade but remain on the skin. Close to the skin it lasts 8-9 hours; on clothes much longer. 3 sprays last 3-4 days on fabric. Once I wore it on a shirt, stored it, and four days later it still smelled of Hugo Reversed. A beautiful fragrance and bottle; in my opinion, the best in the Cantimplora line. Use it by day in spring-summer, very personal for night. I’ve tried many designer scents and haven’t smelled another like it. Note: 7.5/10, if it projected more it would be fantastic.

  • Fresh, citrusy, and clean, addictive yet very personal. Six or seven sprays project for 30-45 minutes at a metre, then it drops; it’s barely noticeable but always on the skin. In my case, close to the skin it lasts 8-9 hours and on clothes it’s immense: three sprays last 3-4 days. Once I wore it on a shirt, stored it, and four days later it still smelled of Hugo Reversed. A lovely fragrance, beautiful bottle; in my opinion, the best in the Cantimplora line. Recommendation: wear it during the day in spring and summer; it’s too personal for night. I’ve tried countless designer scents and haven’t smelled anything like it. Rating: 7.5/10; if it projected more, it would be fantastic.

  • A rich fragrance; if it were a bit more potent, it would be a must-buy. I need to reapply after four hours. It doesn’t resemble any other scent I’ve tried. I recommend it for spring and summer: it’s fresh, citrusy, and aquatic.

I was looking for something fresh and versatile for daily wear and jumped into Hugo Reversed. Total surprise: I loved it from the first spray. I detect bergamot, grapefruit, and vetiver. The bergamot adds brightness, but the star is a sweet grapefruit, nothing too acidic. Sweet fruits usually don’t suit me, but here the vetiver adds class and maturity. That contrast between smoked wood and sweet fruit is magnificent. Performance is average, around 4-5 hours; I catch it in bursts when I turn my head, but others have to get very close. A very good fresh option for daily wear, unpretentious yet characterful.

  • Fresh opening that I absolutely love. Smells of smoked wood with grapefruit, perhaps a hidden note. It clings to clothes so much, pity the trail is weak; on my skin it lasts but is only noticeable up close.

  • arturowonka

What a brilliant scent, utterly different from everything else; a stunning blend of citrus and herbal notes.

  • Citrus and aquatic opening, with the base of Hugo Man… Very good aroma. In my opinion, it resembles some Tommy from the 90s… Worth it; it is obviously a generic scent but one that, for the price, you can afford to over-apply. Reversed is a good all-rounder scent.

  • Sofisticado

Without a doubt, this perfume is in the Pole Position of the SPRAY & RUN category. It is the ideal casual perfume for those summer and spring days when one doesn’t look for anything more than to smell good while going about their daily routine. Without flashiness or oddities, this always works. I love its scent. It won’t be missing from my collection.

  • Alejandro84

A very pleasant scent… a fresh aromatic that has a similarity with another fragrance I have here, Bentley Silverlake, the second most potent. They are very rich and summery fragrances.

  • The scent is good, particularly considering the price. I don’t think it should be considered a clone or alternative to Elysium, although I can understand that it leans in a similar direction. Elysium is much more complex and has a sophisticated aromatic richness. The citrus notes in Elysium are sharper. However, Hugo Reversed is a quite pleasant fruity/citrus/aquatic aroma, although its longevity is relatively brief, around 4-5 hours.

  • It smells good, but it isn’t a memorable scent. Fruity, fresh, citrus, herbal, woody… For working out… I wouldn’t use it for something formal or semi-formal. Recommended for teenagers and young adults. For me, it was MEH.

  • I bought this perfume on the recommendation of a friend who said it had a certain air of Roja Dove’s Elysium. I only tried the Roja once with a perfume-addicted friend, and it didn’t impress me; it’s not my type, although it certainly smells delicious. The worst part was its performance on my skin; after two hours, I had to sniff it very closely, and it was barely perceptible. I didn’t think Hugo Reverse would behave differently on my skin, as I have an extensive collection of Boss and good performance isn’t the brand’s strong point, but for the price, it is definitely worth trying. Since 2000, I have been a loyal follower of Boss Bottled, especially the magnificent first creation of the line by Annick Menardo; I have always preferred the Bottled line over the Hugo line, which, although it has many that smell pleasant, simply do not work on my skin. But what a marvel this ‘Reverse’ is; it was love at first sniff. I can easily say it is my favourite from the Hugo line. Hugo Reverse is a fresh fragrance but not aquatic; it is an aromatic citrus where a juicy, energising, exquisite grapefruit stands out from the opening, accompanied by one of my favourite aromatic herbs, rosemary. The ‘pamplemousse’ molecule gives it a certain sweet woody touch and emphasises its fresh character with a very fluid vetiver base. This composition has good performance and is ideal for spring-summer; it isn’t one of the most versatile as I see it as exclusive daytime wear, but I recommend it highly, a budget jewel for summer (although in my country it works all year round).

  • It is an excellent fragrance for summer, spring, and why not, for the gym. Personally, it reminds me of Michael Kors Extreme Blue.

  • It bears a strong resemblance to Bentley Silverlake but is slightly softer. Both are beautiful, summery, oceanic fragrances that are very easy to like but different from what I’ve heard before. I liked it immediately; it was difficult to choose between the two as they are very similar. Yes, the Bentley has a stronger opening, but the intensity drops significantly after a while, whereas the Hugo Boss maintains itself and lasts much longer for a brand like this.

  • Reversed by Hugo Boss is undoubtedly one of their finest fragrances. I don’t see the similarity to Roja Dove’s Elysium that others mention, although they do follow a similar line. The key difference is that it isn’t as creamy; instead, it’s more subtle and light. The blend is very straightforward: citrus, more citrus, and even more citrus with a hint of herbs. It’s a fresh, aromatic fragrance with a bitter touch that is simply fabulous, carrying the Hugo Boss seal of distinction. It feels very natural, not synthetic, and isn’t overused, making it unique among current fresh scents. I absolutely loved it. If you can find it for around $30 for 125ml, it’s a bargain. Performance is moderate, but for the price, you can’t ask for more. Scent: 9. Projection: 2 hours. Longevity: 6 hours. Recommended.

To me, it is the best citrus perfume I have ever tried. It gives an incredible sense of freshness and smells wonderful. On my skin, it has an amazing longevity of about 8 hours, although sometimes I can still smell it after 10, and other times too. The projection is good for the first three hours. I recommend it only for daytime wear in warm weather. I have used it at the gym and in the office, and it works well, but I enjoy it most in open spaces. I recommend it wholeheartedly and give it a 10/10.

Hugo Boss Reversed: One of the best from the brand. I don’t see a resemblance to Elysium by Roja Dove, though they follow a similar line. Reversed is more subtle and lighter, not so creamy. It’s citrus + citrus + citrus with herbs, a fresh, bitter aromatic, fabulous and with a distinctive stamp. It feels natural, not synthetic or mass-produced. If you find it for $30 for 125ml, that’s not bad. Moderate performance, 2-hour projection, 6-hour longevity. Recommended.

  • Fresh, herbal, citrusy, with a smoky touch and soft vetiver all the time… I didn’t appreciate it well until I used it for travel in spring-summer. Applied at 8 am, it still feels strong at 2 pm, especially with the wind. 125ml for 900 Mexican pesos. Review after several months of use… I find a small problem: on my skin, it generates a sensation of dry sweat. Not due to the smell, but the sensation of feeling ‘sticky’ if you touch the neck where you applied it; your hand sticks to it. Do I make myself clear? Finally, I won’t repurchase it.

I acquired this EDT on CiberdayChile at a price impossible to refuse. I tested the tester and it was… wow! A clear, clean, illuminated citrus explosion. I paid on the spot! Due to its freshness, it’s perfect for spring/summer afternoons or evenings, or in the office during those seasons. It doesn’t have a long projection halo; it’s more surprising than expansive. Totally recommended.

  • Carlos Ivovic

I bought it at Ciberdaychile at an impossible-to-refuse price. Besides, I could try the tester and it was… wow! Clear, clean, and bright citrus explosion. I paid without hesitation! Due to its freshness, it’s perfect for a spring-summer afternoon or evening. Eventually for the office during those seasons. It doesn’t have a long projection halo; it’s more surprising than expansive. Totally recommended.

  • Mikheil Salvatoris

Well, what to say… When sprayed, it feels delicious, but afterwards it’s just citrus, citrus, and more citrus. I perceive it as very soft; after about two hours, it’s almost gone, only on skin. I had certain expectations as with other Hugos, but it doesn’t work the same on me; I don’t know if it’s due to the warm weather or my skin.

  • Perfumoncada

Its opening reminds me of Sauvage, perhaps due to that delicious bergamot. But as it dries, it smells like Blue Chanel. The dry down is very good, but it only lasts a couple of hours on skin. For that price, there are better options.

  • The scent isn’t special nor among my top 10, but it has something that makes you want to smell it all the time. It’s citrusy, herbal, and very refreshing, very tasty. I have no complaints about performance; it’s more than acceptable; the hotter it gets, the longer it lasts and projects (don’t expect a beastmode). I recommend it totally; I haven’t seen it on sale for a long time, but as HB fragrances are usually on offer or cheaper than other brands, the purchase is worth it.

  • It’s nice, but nothing extraordinary. It opens citrusy with grapefruit (not too lemony for those who don’t like it) and as it dries, woods appear. Performance is medium. I give it 7/10.

  • Wlad Molina

A summer with personality. Its opening is citrusy but not aggressive, a soft freshness that invites you to keep exploring. Then it evolves into very distinctive earthy and herbal notes. To my nose, it feels original and moves away from typical blue fragrances; it has a different air that is appreciated. I’ve received good comments, which is always a plus. It’s very casual, ideal for everyday wear, though not just for a young crowd; its versatility makes it suitable for informal occasions. It evokes a gentle rain and aromatic bushes after a storm. What incredible how perfumes can transport us. In conclusion, Hugo Reversed deserves a 9/10: a different summer proposal worth knowing.

  • Hugo Reversed: starts with a citrus explosion mixed with spices, but that intensity lasts about half an hour before settling down to skin level. The projection is modest, around four hours. It smells great, ideal for the office or daytime and evening outings, but not for night. It suits spring and summer better without too much heat. It’s not just any citrus; it has personality and you’ll surely receive compliments. In summary: citrus-spicy, medium projection, versatile, and with good acceptance.

  • Josué González Céspedes

It’s a citrus bombón and fresh, perfect for all year round. Hugo Boss has done an impeccable job here, very delicious.
