A fragrance with a lovely and very spicy aroma. It feels very similar to Bleu de Chanel, with a moderate to heavy trail at the start and good longevity. It could be another alternative to Chanel at an accessible price, at least here in Mexico.
First scent from Perry Ellis: not a niche fragrance nor does it carry luxury marketing, but it delivers on its promise. I tested it on blotter paper rather than skin, so this is a general opinion. It smells fantastic: opens with gum-like mint, green citrus, and acidic touches. In the heart, it features dry woods that give a fresh masculine vibe, classic lavender, and supporting herbal notes. It exudes total manliness (and it’s sexy). It has an addictive quality that makes you want to smell it again. I’m unsure about longevity on skin, but based on previous experience with the brand, it projects well for 1-2 hours before settling into a short trail; however, it lasts 7 hours on paper with a clear aroma. Regarding the comparison with Bleu de Chanel: they are not identical, though they share an olfactive and commercial style (much like 360 Red versus Acqua di Gio). Worth trying for the quality-to-price ratio: pleasant, without unpleasant synthetics, and with an interesting bottle. Suitable for casual to formal wear, for those over 20, in any climate (though in heat my nose gets fatigued and I would moderate its use). Best regards!
I bought this fragrance because I liked its scent when they showed it to me. While it is not the best I have owned, it has a very pleasant aroma where mint and lavender predominate. It is very versatile, suitable for both day and night. As for the similarity to Bleu de Chanel, that is exactly what it is, merely a resemblance. On my skin, it lasts 5 to 6 hours and has a moderate sillage.
The best thing is its versatility; I find it ideal for both day and night. The notes that stand out most are mint, lavender, and orange. After a few hours, it becomes more citrusy and takes on a slight resemblance to Bleu de Chanel; in fact, it is a good alternative to that brand. A very masculine scent but not old-fashioned, perfect for someone aged 25 to 35. Longevity is moderate for me at 6 hours, with projection equally moderate without going unnoticed. Scent: 7/10, Versatility: 7/10, Projection: 6/10, Longevity: 7/10.

A soft and versatile men’s fragrance. I bought it by chance: I was looking for something fresher, but the top notes were so appealing that I decided to take it. Its use is best for cold days; as I tend to soften my perfumes, it comes across very subtle with a light trail, ideal for me with a sensitive nose. Perfect for autumn, winter, or evening wear without much presence. It is a lovely, captivating, and elegant fragrance for informal use and the 25-50 age range, although it feels more youthful, hehe. As for the resemblance to Bleu de Chanel, yes, it is similar and pleasant, as it is a much more economical and accessible EDT. Now it is just a similarity to BDC; undoubtedly a good purchase for my collection. Best regards!
It is a masculine fragrance, soft and versatile. I bought it by chance; I was going to look for something fresher, but I loved the top notes and decided to purchase it. I wear it on cold days; I tend to soften my perfumes, so this comes across very subtle with a soft sillage, which is perfect for me as I have a keen sense of smell. Ideal for autumn, winter, or evening wear without much projection. It is a lovely, captivating, and elegant fragrance for informal use, targeting ages 25–50, though it feels slightly younger to me. Regarding the similarity to Bleu de Chanel, yes, it resembles it, which is pleasing, as it is a much more affordable and accessible EDT. For now, it is just a similarity, undoubtedly a good addition to my collection.
Perry Ellis Pour Homme, did someone say Bleu de Chanel? Ladies and gentlemen: this is Bleu with a hit of mint, at least in the opening. I cannot believe how well it smells: delicious, fresh, cold, and addictive. The opening is strong and perhaps overpowering with over-application or in enclosed spaces, but its evolution is good, with excellent longevity and trail. Ideal for daily use at school or work and for informal occasions. The price is a joke: I have more expensive perfumes that do not last half as long and smell more generic than this PE PH. If you are looking for something easy to use and good value, this is a great option.
Perry Ellis Pour Homme, did someone say Bleu de Chanel? Exactly, ladies and gentlemen, this is Bleu with a hit of mint, at least at the beginning. I cannot believe how well it smells; it is delicious, fresh, cool, and addictive. At first, it is strong and perhaps overwhelming with over-application or in enclosed spaces, but its evolution is excellent, with good longevity and projection. Outstanding for everyday use at school or work and for informal situations. The price is a joke; I have more expensive perfumes that do not last half as long and smell more generic than this. If you are looking for something easy to wear and good value, this is a solid choice.
I absolutely love Ian Solis’s review; he hits the nail on the head from start to finish, so much so that I hesitated to write one myself. However, as is my habit of reviewing every fragrance to maintain my own control, I decided to share my thoughts. I see it as ideal for the office: sophisticated, pleasant, yet not intrusive. It lacks a particularly uncommon or distinctive scent (a minor drawback), but as fragrance enthusiasts, we should celebrate when something simply smells good. If you detect a style reminiscent of Bleu de Chanel, be aware it is not a clone. The bottles in this collection are lovely. I will be purchasing it.
I bought it for its great resemblance to Bleu de Chanel, which is one of my favourites. The difference is that I don’t feel like wearing Perry Ellis every day as I do with Bleu (obviously due to the price). Its opening is the best: that citrus orange scent replaces Chanel’s grapefruit, giving it a similar yet fresher vibe thanks to the mint. Then the bitter orange fades, and on my skin the mint is accentuated with a tonka vanilla base. In the end, it smells like coriander and spices, such as cloves, with mint. That dry-down doesn’t entirely convince me; it smells very much of minty spices. It remains similar to Bleu, but the quality difference is noticeable. It’s not a bad fragrance; I like to wear it for formal occasions in a clean environment and in summer, as it gets lost in winter. For those seeking something economical and similar, it’s a good option, but it’s not a substitute. Scent: 10 at the opening, I rate 7 for the dry-down. Projection: 8 (I’ve received compliments even though I can’t smell it anymore). Longevity: 6 hours. Versatility: 8. Value for money: 7. Total: 7.
I bought it for its great resemblance to Bleu de Chanel, my favourite fragrance. The difference is that I don’t fancy wearing it daily like I do with Bleu (obviously due to the price). For me, the opening is the best: that orange citrus scent substitutes the grapefruit of Chanel, giving a similar but fresher air thanks to the mint. Then the bitter orange fades, and on my skin the mint is accentuated with a tonka bean base. In the end, it smells of coriander and other spices (like cloves) with mint; that dry-down doesn’t fully convince me, as it smells very much of spicy mint and the quality difference becomes noticeable. It is not a bad fragrance; I use it in formal moments with a clean atmosphere and in summer, because in winter it gets lost. For those seeking something economical and similar to Bleu, it is a good option, but it is not a substitute. Rating: Scent 10 on opening, 7 on dry-down; Projection 8 (I receive compliments even when I can’t smell it myself); Longevity 6 (4-6 hours); Versatility 8; Value for Money 7. Total: 7.
A good alternative to Chanel Bleu. It doesn’t have Chanel’s quality, but for the price, there are no complaints. You can quite clearly smell lavender, orange, and cedar. Ideal for going to work or meetings with friends. Longevity is 5 hours and sillage is 1 hour. I give it 7/10.
It’s a direct imitation of Bleu de Chanel. In my opinion, it’s only worth it if you can get it at half the price of the original, because its projection, longevity, and sillage are barely 50% of what Chanel offers. I bought it at exactly half price and was satisfied, but when I wanted to repurchase and the price rose to 65% of Bleu’s, I stopped buying it. If you’re looking for imitations, there are better and cheaper options.
It’s incredible; what a shame I can’t find it anymore. I would definitely buy it again.
To me, this is the budget version of Chanel Bleu, though with distinct nuances. In the end, I stick with the original. I have nothing else to add.
