It’s one of my top ten and the most ignored gem in the world. I’m a fan of classic American scents with lavender, juniper, and sandalwood, and this, created by Firmenich for Perry Ellis, fits perfectly. I’ve used it in all climates, but it’s ideal for fresh afternoons. It smells clean, nothing weird, fulfilling its function with an exquisite aroma thanks to that ‘Made in USA’ blend and floral notes like geranium (with hints of rose and carnation, though secondary). The citrus are barely noticeable, but the woods are sublime. It’s timeless, perfect for the office, the mall, or visiting the bride, although recently in the past I used it at formal events and it worked wonderfully. I like the bottle for its elegance, although the caps seem not very masculine (but everyone has their opinion). The cylindrical box is part of the artwork, don’t throw it away. It has good trail, longevity, and excellent sillage. It will hardly leave my top 15 for long. May universal energy prevent its discontinuation. A hidden gem that every lover must try. I love it and it won’t disappoint, save if you’re looking for something utopian from another planet. I love it!
It’s one of my top ten and I consider it the most underrated in the world. I’m a fan of typical American fragrances with lavender, juniper, and sandalwood. I was intrigued that it was created by Firmenich for Perry Ellis. I’ve used it in various climates and it’s versatile, but I recommend it for fresh afternoons. It’s masculine, smells clean, with no weird experiments; its function is to perfume, and it does so exquisitely thanks to that ‘Made in USA’ combination plus floral notes like geranium (with some rose and carnation, but not predominant). The citrus notes are barely noticeable, yes the woody ones which are sublime. It’s timeless, ideal for the office, going to the mall, or visiting the bride, although recently in the past I used it at formal events and it accompanied me very well. I like the bottle, elegant; the only thing I don’t like is the caps, not very masculine. The box is also part of the artwork; I doubt you’d throw it away. Good trail, good longevity, and excellent sillage. It will hardly leave my top 10 or 15 for long. May universal energy prevent its discontinuation. A hidden gem that every lover must try. I love it and I think it won’t disappoint anyone (unless they are looking for an extraterrestrial utopian fragrance). I love it!
I bought a collection that came with the blue 360, the red 360, and this one, all 30ml. I gifted the blue one to my brother for his birthday; it was very sweet with melon notes. This is for spring or summer. It smells of clove and some very soft citrus. After 4.5 hours, I have to reapply it to continue enjoying it.
It smells very much of talcum powder; it’s generic, like an air freshener with a ‘new car’ scent, of the unisex type. It’s a cheap aroma, lacking elegance or distinction; you can tell it was concocted in minutes, perhaps just to fill gaps in this brand’s catalogue.
Well, it starts with juniper, bergamot, and geranium, then grapefruit and moderate lavender. In the middle there are soft florals, although I didn’t distinguish the famous dark rose, but rather some carnation and sage. The dry down is soft woods that I didn’t feel exotic and musk with sandalwood. The opening reminded me of Hugo Boss’s Boss Bottled, perhaps by sharing base notes across the three levels: geranium, bergamot, another citrus, sandalwood, oakmoss, and woods. Of course, Boss is spicier, but it’s not surprising if they are from the same year. They share virtues and flaws: pleasant aroma, known bet, but both are somewhat flat and perhaps boring for some. Can it smell like a car air freshener? Perhaps yes, but surely it’s due to that generic initial combination of lavender, juniper, and citrus, which is what air fresheners have. It’s not that the creators of PER decided to design that, it’s industrial chemistry. Now, does it smell good? Yes, it’s one of those that smells clean, with the risk of being more plain than others with strange notes. The trail is moderate and fades after four hours, but on my skin it lasted over 10 hours. As it features classic notes, it’s a good option for working in environments where one wants to be soft but pleasant thanks to the florals. Ideal for spring and daytime use. If you like Boss Bottled, this could be your option.

It opens with juniper, bergamot, and geranium, followed by soft grapefruit and lavender. The florals are medium; I didn’t detect the typical dark rose, but rather some carnation and sage. Of course, Boss is spicier, but it’s not surprising if they are from the same year. They share virtues and flaws: a pleasant aroma and familiar combinations, but both are somewhat flat and perhaps boring for many. Does it smell like a car air freshener? Perhaps, but it’s due to that generic initial combination of lavender, juniper, and citrus; air fresheners often recall parts of fragrances with these notes, not that Perry Ellis designed a scent to smell like a car. They will find it harder to mimic complex fragrances, but that is industrial chemistry. Does it smell good? Yes, it smells clean, with the risk of being more plain than others with strange notes. The trail is moderate and fades after four hours, but on my skin it lasted over ten. As it features classic notes, it’s ideal if you need something soft and non-intrusive for work, yet pleasant thanks to the florals. Perfect for spring and daytime use. Fresh and perfect for daytime wear; it’s one of the brand’s best alongside 360 Red. The longevity is moderate, the trail is average, and the price is very good. All Perry Ellis scents have good quality; I recommend almost all of them.
Smelling of cleanliness as Shiseido Tactics says, I’m somewhat disappointed because on me it lasts a maximum of 5 hours and the sillage and projection are low. Nevertheless, it’s a scent I love and I don’t stop using it. And let’s talk about the price: very accessible, 200 Mexican pesos (14 dollars) for the 50 ml version. I love it and well, there’s no other way, I just overapply 😀
Reserve for Men is very masculine. Florals dominate, lavender, juniper, citrus, soft woods, and amber, very 90s style, with a clean scent. The projection is low but noticeable in light waves, and the longevity reached 8 hours. I think it’s multi-seasonal and versatile, and as others said, its price is very accessible. The only bad detail I experienced with several Perry Ellis scents (those with spherical caps) is that in some phases, especially at the beginning, they caused a reaction on my skin with a slightly dirty smell, although it disappears once dried.

Very good, perfect for warm weather. It resembles Polo Sport; you can detect the woody base and the lavender: fresh and potent. Scent: 9, Longevity: 8, Projection: 8, Price: 10.
This is my favourite of Perry Ellis. Ideal for summer or spring. I have the sensation of an undeclared note: mint, very similar to that in Polo Sport, hence the resemblance. Another fragrance that reminds me of it, perhaps because of that mint, is Burberry for Men (although this one is more formal and complex).
Perry Ellis has good and affordable fragrances; I’ve tried three and none disappoint. This one in particular I like more the more I use it. It’s fresh, the lavender stands out, and it smells exquisite. Perfect for hot days, it leaves you feeling clean. It has a good combination of notes, quality for the price (it’s very economical), decent sillage, and good longevity. In short, I love it: you don’t need to spend much to smell good, and this is the example.
It’s super 90s, in the style of Polo Sport, making you feel clean and energetic. There’s not much to say; it smells the same from the moment you apply it until the end: not sweet, fresh, and smelling of cleanliness thanks to the lavender. It’s very pleasant and easy to wear, not cloying. It doesn’t discriminate by age; from a university student to a forty-something, it suits them well. It’s youthful, ideal for the office or meetings with friends, but not for formal dates. On my skin, it lasts over 10 hours: the first 3-5 hours with a sillage of a metre, then from 5 to 10 hours it projects 20-30 cm, and at the end, after 10 hours, it stays skin-close until disappearing at 12-14. For the price, scent, and longevity, it’s a great daily option for work. I use it in all four seasons. It’s the best of Perry Ellis along with 360 Red and America: all three are cheap and last a long time.
I’ve been using Reserve for several years, which demonstrates my admiration. It’s a different scent, smells fresh, elegant, and masculine. RECOMMENDED. Scent: 9, Projection: 8, Longevity: 8, Sillage: 8. Women’s opinion: SATISFIED.
I’ve been wearing this Reserve for years, which demonstrates my admiration. It smells distinct from everything else, fresh, elegant, and very manly. Totally recommended. Scent: 9, Projection: 8, Longevity: 8, Sillage: 8. Women like it: yes, they do.
It does not succumb to time… Although many may not believe it today, the Reserve surpasses the Sport Polo (even if compared to the iconic Ralph Lauren, it is not exactly the same). The Perry retains a more integral olfactory nature from its origins: fresh lavender and a very lively green lemon. It remains that warm fragrance of the 90s, fresh, casual, and natural, nothing synthetic. For me, Perry Ellis Reserve is an unbeatable titan that continues to be glorified among the greats of its era, retaining its dignity that many lost during the harsh transition of the years. The projection is better and the longevity is very acceptable. A perfect 10. Greetings and thanks.
Although many doubt it nowadays, Reserve surpasses Polo Sport. It has a more complete olfactory character: fresh lavender and very vibrant green lemon. It remains that warm, natural fragrance of the 90s, without synthetics. To me, it’s an unbeatable titan that maintains its dignity in an era where many have lost it. The projection is brutal and the longevity acceptable. A perfect 10.
Fresh yet elegant, nothing sporty. Ideal for daytime formal events. The only clear note I detect is bergamot; the rest is a mystery. But it smells fantastic and the price is insane. Buy without hesitation.
I’ve always hated Perry Ellis perfumes for being super sweet, but this is an exception. It’s elegant, dry, and doesn’t leave you with a mouth full of sugar.
Definitely spectacular: masculine, timeless, and elegant; many have overlooked it. It is fresh with fougère notes, you can smell lavender and citrus bergamot from the start to the dry down. Linear but you can perceive geranium and carnation. It fades at the end but leaves a strong wood trail. Lasts 5 to 6 hours on skin with moderate sillage and a 1.5-metre projection. It is summery, for daytime use, versatile in open or enclosed spaces. Very fresh at the start due to the lavender, clean and masculine. Recommended for men over 20 and at an economical price. A classic by Perry Ellis that doesn’t resemble today’s offerings, an excellent option.
It smells ‘old school’ and is overly synthetic. People have told me it smells of dog or cat urine, or simply that they don’t like it. The truth is, I only use it at home or as a room freshener, just to finish off the 50ml bottle I have, because I dislike it and apparently others do too. PD: PERSONAL OPINION AND EXPERIENCE
‘Old school’ style aroma and very synthetic. People have told me it smells of dog or cat urine, or simply that they don’t like it. I only use it at home or as a room freshener to finish the 50ml bottle. I don’t like it and it seems others don’t either. Personal opinion.
I used it between 2009 and 2010; it brings me so much nostalgia. With it, I won over my first love at school. Perfect longevity, clean and minimalist scent. Although it is not exactly what I remember, perhaps it became more synthetic and more potent.
In my top 10, an excellent perfume, not very expensive, and you will surely receive compliments.
It is the perfume a lad in secondary school would wear to cover his smell of sweat, feet, and armpits; it smells like mint gum. It lasts quite a while; the lad will say it gives him a headache, they will wash the clothes, and it will still smell. If any irresponsible adult wears it in an enclosed space, they will need a double mask.
An underrated perfume that is worth it. The price is excellent and the scent is masculine, fresh, and elegant.
I am surprised by other comments. In my opinion, the notes combine perfectly and are balanced; I love the violet and it doesn’t bother anyone; the florals and citrus are pleasant. However, unfortunately for me, it smells of urine and lingers as a strong note. I’ve read this before, probably why I don’t use it even though I want to. Don’t risk your money, look for something else.
I was genuinely surprised by what others say about this perfume. To me, the notes blend well and the scent is balanced; I love the violet and I don’t think anyone would find it off-putting. The floral and citrus notes are also very pleasant. However, I must admit that, unfortunately, it also smells of urine to me, and that odour lingers as if it were an intentional note. I don’t know why, but I’ve read this before. That’s why I don’t wear it, even though I want to, because smelling that is unpleasant, especially when others might think it comes from me. The projection and longevity are good, but for all these reasons, I recommend not taking the risk and looking for something else.
Rich aroma, a fair 4/5. It’s okay but doesn’t surpass the original 360. Very good for the price; these are old-school perfumes. In the set, the red 360 is the worst. For those seeking a sweet, mild masculine note without smelling like an old man. Ideal for something economical and noticeable without being heavy. Recommended in a set of three 30ml units.
Agree with the 4/5 rating. I didn’t like the opening, but once it dries, it shines: smells like clean laundry, a timeless and masculine scent. If you are looking for something modern, this isn’t for you. Short longevity, about 4 hours on skin. Minimal projection, just a bubble near you for the first half-hour. Sillage is low, don’t expect much. I haven’t received compliments; it’s not for young people, but for adults over 30 at work as something serious and discreet. Try before you buy.
Absolutely love it, though it is very floral. It has a vintage touch yet works forever: smells like a clean-shaven man in a shirt on a Sunday, perfect for outdoor family lunches. Ideal for the office or dates on hot days. For the price, the performance is brutal. 6 hours on my skin, moderate projection but sufficient. Scent 9/10, price 10/10, longevity and projection 7/10.
