  It’s a wonderfully quirky fragrance, blending a classic Italian vibe with something youthful and fun. The base features a milky white musk paired with clean incense, creating the perfect canvas for bold notes of anise and fruit that yield a rich, sweet, slightly baroque scent. The opening is the most entertaining part: the fruits and ginger dominate with freshness and character, soothing the rest of the composition. As it dries down, those notes recede, leaving a musky, linear trail. It has a substantial body, with the creamy musk and a potent anise that can be quite intoxicating; I don’t wear it daily for fear of getting cloying, but I use it regularly in autumn and winter to brighten the day. After all this time, I’m still undecided whether it’s elegant or casual, but that’s its charm: it’s both. It lasts a solid 6-8 hours, though its sillage is unpredictable: sometimes it seems to vanish only to return with force later. In short, it’s moderate, although this can vary.
