One of the perfumes I’ve received the most compliments on; women love it here in Venezuela; it’s very popular and well-known.
It’s a classic, not one of my favourites, however, it’s satisfactory. I perceive it as fruity with green touches and a bit of wood; it’s very fresh.
I’m a woman and I love this perfume… the combination of yuzu and cypress is so rich… I adore it and it’s at a super price.
Greetings to all experts and enthusiasts from Colombia. Thanks for this site; I’ve been reading it attentively for years. I’m passionate about perfumes, and when I read the reviews, I’m convinced more that in love and perfumes there is no logic. The classic Swiss Army is one of my favourites (top 3). It’s jovial, musky, and slightly sweet, yet so soft and versatile that it suits the office, university, and the gym. Potent but never overpowering. It doesn’t remind me of any other scent and is an aroma that lingers in the mind, creating a signature, and truly my partner fell in love with its evocation on my skin. It evokes and receives a thousand compliments. I recommend it 100%. Scent: 9/10, Value for money: 10/10, Longevity: 9/10.
Swiss Army Victorinox is a fresh, aromatic, floral, and woody fragrance. Its opening is very aromatic and fresh, smelling of citrus and green notes like mint. Within minutes, floral notes such as lavender and geranium rise, giving it a very pleasant Fougère touch; it probably contains more florals and spices, but lavender and geranium are the most noticeable. After an hour, it becomes more woody with cedar and musk; the latter adds a touch of dirtiness, but it doesn’t make it unpleasant. It’s a 90s fragrance with a common aromatic and floral composition from that decade, but it doesn’t smell old-fashioned today. It suits the office or low-formality situations, plus it’s affordable and accessible to all. Its projection for the first hour is very good, leaving a noticeable aromatic cloud, but over time it drops to skin-level scent; still, it remains close to six hours on the skin.
Too much nostalgia in a bottle; it reminds me of my first love in high school, of a teenager with dreams. One of the first fragrances any man would own. Simply fresh, woody, aromatic, and versatile (like a Swiss Army knife, what irony…), it suits classes, the gym, or casual dates. It’s perfect for summer; it used to soften or hide sweat odour, though it didn’t work miracles. On my skin, the yuzu, violet, and musk stood out. A fresh, powdery sensation, but nowadays it’s said to be generic; I suppose it fell victim to reformulation, though I haven’t felt it firsthand. Perhaps I’ll buy it again just for the nostalgic factor.
Well, honestly, it doesn’t seem that good to me and it doesn’t last at all; it’s the one in the all-grey bottle. I expected something else.
A fragrance dominated by fresh, vibrant lavender that evokes earlier versions with better performance. While it faithfully retains its characteristic aroma, the current longevity has dropped significantly. If possible, I recommend opting for the previous edition for those seeking something more durable without losing that distinct fresh essence.
I have the grey bottle, recent batch. The scent is exquisite; people compare it to Davidoff Cool Water. I own both and they follow different paths. I’ve worn it in this heat (38°C) and it’s delightful. The only downside is longevity; it lasts me a maximum of four hours, but I reapply without issue as the price isn’t a concern. Which would I recommend between Swiss Army and Cool Water? Both.
A fragrance that doesn’t age. It’s enchanting for its green freshness and being very pleasant, masculine, and clean. Good price, you can’t go wrong with it.
One of the first bottles I finished and one of the originals I bought. I remember it from primary and secondary school; it was hugely popular even though I knew nothing about perfumery. I’d see it on older cousins, neighbourhood friends, or classmates. It smells fresh, woody, citrusy, green, masculine, clean, and serious. Ideal for any casual occasion, daily wear, school, or university, in hot or cold climates. It’s very versatile. Mind you, I’m not judging the batches, but it has good initial projection and fades quickly, lasting a short time. Perhaps others find it lasts longer, or there were better batches. In my opinion, it’s worth it only if you’re buying it for nostalgia, are a fan, or want something economical for everyday use.
It was a gift from my girlfriend and what a gem. The scent is delicious; I wore it every day all summer and it was excellent. Very fresh, mentholated, and fruity at the start, more floral after the first hour. On my skin, it easily lasts 8 hours or more, so I didn’t need to reapply on my work days. The price is accessible. If you’re looking for something fresh, masculine, and for daily summer use, this is a great option. I recommend it widely.
My first great love in perfumes. It brings back many memories of my adolescence. I use it for informal and formal situations; it smells manly. Although it might seem like women won’t like it, it’s quite the opposite; my ex-girlfriends gave it to me and my mum brings me one from Argentina because it’s hard to get here. It smells serious, delicious, and characterful. You might think not everyone will like it, but on the contrary, it’s very striking.
I liked it, although it’s not my favourite and I’m not sure if I would buy it again. If you are under 20, you might not like it. It opens with citrus, mint, yuzu, and ginger; as it dries down, the mint fades and lavender with rosemary and geranium emerges. You also note cypress and balsam fir, giving it a woody touch. It’s a modern aromatic fougere, like a barber shop. If you like Nordiko soap and shaving foam, this is for you. It lasts 6 hours on the skin with 1.5 hours of projection and 1 minute of trail. I bought it for 419 Mexican pesos, so for the price, it’s good. Scent: 9/10, Longevity: 9/10, Projection and trail: 9/10. Now I’m in love with these scents; they make me feel very good to wear them.
A versatile and classic scent. Longevity is 6 hours (8 hours close to the skin). Notable projection for 1.5 hours, then a personal bubble until the 5th hour. Soft trail of 2 hours. No need to reapply until the 5th hour. Ideal for temperate to hot weather and 100% versatile (office/school). I bought it for nostalgia, curiosity, and good value, not out of necessity. I wore it at uni and had pleasant experiences with it. Although it smells a bit ‘old man’ like shaving foam, I love it because it’s not as sweet as current trends. I was pleasantly surprised by its performance; for its type and price, I am satisfied. Ideal for temperate weather, office (with reapplication), and gym. I use it for short outings and meetings; my partner loves it. I receive compliments and people say ‘that smell! I used to wear that in uni’. I really enjoy this new grey presentation.
This fragrance smells very similar to Creed’s classic Green Irish Tweed from 1985.
Lavender at its finest, with a touch of citrus and woods. It’s unisex with a masculine leaning, though I see it as balanced. It’s rich; perhaps not the freshest, but good for spring and summer. On my skin, it has no projection or trail, but it lasts a few hours. I haven’t let it settle properly; I’ll wait until spring to see if it improves.
Citrusy lavender: fresh, clean, and sharp for extreme heat days. If you wear it around people over 35, it will bring back their teenage memories and make them look puzzled. Women will smile and tear up remembering their youthful loves. It has a powerful trail but poor longevity – about three hours of projection and then barely an hour on the skin. It’s all or nothing; it can’t be mixed with anything else because it’s so sharp.
An incredible scent, it was my go-to in university, just like its flanker Altitud. However, like many mass-market perfumes, they eventually start smelling like an ex-boyfriend or ex-wife, which is why we stopped wearing them even though they are wonderful.
Smells almost identical to Montblanc’s Individuel; they share seven notes. In my opinion, it’s not what I expected – I was hoping for something more citrusy or green, but it’s 100% floral. It’s not bad, simply not my style.
A fragrance for personal taste, soft, clean, and very rich.
Fresh but very fresh, ideal for high temperatures. Yes, the scent has changed if you compare it to what it was 15 years ago, but buy it. Atomise it a couple of times and store it for a few months; it will become a great summer fragrance.
My high school perfume. It smells masculine and fresh, giving you so much personality that you stand out from the rest and are genuine.
My first perfume. The aroma isn’t particularly special, except that it’s super versatile according to age: from someone under 25 to one over 60 without clashing. That fresh scent is very striking. Even with a modest collection, it’s incredible how I keep coming back to this old friend. For the price, highly recommended.
Well, here’s my review. I bought it for the notes and the good reviews. My first impression was that it reminded me of my dad or grandfather, but it doesn’t smell old or elderly; it has a vintage aroma but it’s fresh. It’s very citrusy, astringent, and acidic, perfect for summer. I was surprised my girlfriend liked it so much. I don’t know how people measure time, as after a while the nose gets fatigued, but wearing it for 10 hours at home, my girlfriend said it still smelled. I suppose it lasts well. I see it for people aged 25 and up; a prep school child wouldn’t like it. It smells like a fresh, mature man, away from the sweetness of today’s teenagers. If you want to smell fresh, masculine, vintage, and elegant, this is the option.
As Homervg mentioned below, it needs to be macerated. At first, I was disappointed as it faded in an hour, but after letting it rest for a few months, its longevity improved notably. The projection isn’t beastly; it’s moderate with more than 10 sprays. Mint and lavender are the stars. It’s a very good vintage barbershop scent. Highly good.
It’s been my perfume of choice since entering adulthood. Although a trained nose might not see it as innovative or standout, for me it is wonderful because it transports me straight back to my university days. It is evocative in a way no other in my collection is, so it can never be missing.
I bought it in May 2023. At first, the alcohol was very noticeable, it was quite soft, and it lasted an hour, so I put it away. Now, almost two years later, it has improved significantly; the trail lasts about 5 hours and on the skin for 10, although nowadays there are better options for less money. Three Nuit de Armaf is very similar but more powdery and longer-lasting. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you find it extremely cheap, but for 50 dollars, I’d suggest looking elsewhere.
Uuu!! What a clean, clean, and clean fragrance. It’s the quintessential scent for a high school or university student, or an adult on a Sunday barbecue or family outing. It smells of lavender, soap, and mint; it’s energetic, powdery yet sweet like Le Male, a brilliant green fougère without moss or vanilla weight. Is it current? Yes. It lasts around 7 to 8 hours.
I tried the Sport version of this Victorinox yesterday and was blown away by the value and projection, though the original fell short. It’s not a bad fragrance, but it lasted barely two hours and is nowhere near Creed Aventus; they share notes but smell different. What it does remind me of is Natura’s Kaiak, which is sportier and fresher, whereas this Victorinox is more intimate. If you want to project, don’t overdo it, but at 300 pesos the bottle is worth it to layer a bit. (8/10)
I think it’s a rich, simple and fresh fragrance. That’s about it. I recommend it more for work or the office than for other occasions. Due to the freshness given by the mint note, I recommend it more for spring-summer days. When I used it, I imagined being in a wooded area with pines around, perhaps due to the scent emitted jointly by the lavender and amber notes. If I could give it a note from 0 to 10, considering presentation, scent, longevity, projection and versatility, I’d give it a 7.5.
A very rich scent, but it has been reformulated and doesn’t last. Very, very little longevity.
In my top 5, this fragrance is in third place. Without a doubt, it smells citrusy, but behind that lies a forest full of life. I think the key lies in the ginger, yuzu, fir and geranium. I love that fresh scent it leaves on clothes the next day; I think it has a lot of sporty personality, perhaps informal. I don’t think there’s another that resembles it, except the Sport version which has the same base but is less citrusy and simpler, although it remains an interesting alternative.
After trying several clones that aren’t equal to this, I finally tried the classic Swiss Army from ’97. This one is fresh, aromatic and citrusy; it combines better between yuzu, lavender, cypress and the lemon leaf accord. Although its longevity is 1 to 3 hours depending on usage, it’s ideal for all types of weather. If it had pine, mountain air or peppermint, it would combine better than the yuzu.
I use it for going to the gym and on those summer afternoons when the heat is at its peak. The opening is pleasant; I feel mostly the mentholated part with a cryptic base that makes it fresh. Then the green notes take the lead and in the end, it smells of wet earth after the rain. It’s so clean it borders on formality, it has personality and I like it.
Ideal for going on an adventure into the woods or for travel, it’s spectacular. It works well in warm or cool climates. This perfume expresses masculinity, rigour and confidence. I recommend not using it every day so it keeps that special touch.
It smells good, which is why it has become a classic, but it’s nothing special. The scent is forgettable, elegant, casual, fresh and woody, but in the end, it’s forgotten. Just like its razors, it’s a multi-purpose lotion you can use always, but it’s not perfect for any specific occasion.
A classic that should always be in my collection. It’s citrusy, green, fresh but elegant, ideal for any occasion. It has become very affordable now. In my experience, the new batches need time to macerate; after 2 or 3 months, they hit the exact scent of the mid-2000s. Totally worth it for the price.
I bought it blind and I like the citrus opening; it smells of pine and green, but it has a very strong mint note that lasts a lifetime. I definitely won’t buy it again, although it’s not bad and whoever uses it certainly doesn’t have bad taste. In fact, I’ve received many compliments, especially from women, saying I smell like a man. I’ve even approached groups of girls and they turn around to see who smells so good. It’s very masculine, classic barbershop style; the trail is good but the longevity isn’t the best. Yes, it’s suitable for the office.
I tried a bit on my wrist and it’s a marvel: classic and full of history, yet it holds up incredibly well. At first, it smells of lemon and freshness due to those green notes, and as it dries down, the mint leaves you with a total sense of cleanliness. It’s excellent for daytime wear, although upon smelling it, I thought it would be elegant for the evening and stand out with those greens. The price is a bargain, although I haven’t got my hands on it yet. I’d use it every now and then to break up with my sweet perfumes. Highly recommended if you like mint and citrus; you’ll feel fresh all day long.
