  The new Coty line (Infiniment Coty Paris) arrived with everything. In 2024 they launched fourteen fragrances promising a technology to keep the scent on the skin for thirty hours without the top notes fading. The collection is divided into dawn, day and dusk. This one, Un Parc de Roses en Alabama, comes from the dusk side. It has just three notes: rose, myrrh and leather, but executed to perfection. It smells like nothing I’ve tried before; in the shop I knew it was mine. It’s a perfect blend of deep, sensual, dark red roses, with golden drops of myrrh nestled among the petals, over the worn skin of a well-cared-for quality jacket. What makes the difference is the myrrh: golden, smoky and intense, and the leather, which instead of being harsh becomes soft, caressed by time. It’s not masculine; I see it as unisex, with a slight feminine lean. It’s beautiful and the rest of the composition holds up. As for longevity, I haven’t managed to bathe to test those thirty hours, but given how it clung to my clothes and hair, it’s decent. On my skin it lasted more than twelve hours without issue. The projection might be short for some; it’s not the kind that announces itself five minutes before you walk in. Yes, throughout its life I received compliments after ten hours. And as I always say, don’t buy blindly because of the price, because although it’s beautiful, it’s different and many won’t like it. Luckily Coty launched discovery sets, although the vials are 10ml and the prices aren’t cheap.
