  • Surprise and delight. It’s not an original fragrance, but it’s a sparkling, crystal-clear citrus with good longevity; it surprises you and you notice it again after a few hours. And at a very good price. What a pity it’s a limited edition.

  • IN.CRE.IBLE: I wasn’t very hopeful, but I loved it. An explosion of freshness, invigorating, electric, energising, wild herbal, clean, soapy, citrusy, with a very soft sugary touch like limoncello. Perfect for hot, mild days and mornings. Highly recommended. Longevity: 9/10. Sillage: 6.5/10. Naturalness: 10/10. Compliments: 8/10. Value for money: infinite. Originality: 7/10 (you can find it in many L’Occitane products, hence the note). It’s a crowd-pleasing scent that won’t go unnoticed.

  • What a beautiful perfume! Herbal, delicate, with an incredible sense of vitality. It says it’s masculine but it’s totally unisex. In its dry down, it reminded me a lot of Classic Pride. The citron note is very realistic. I wish it lasted longer, but with the excellent price, it’s not a shame to reapply whenever you want. I prefer the ‘masculine’ version to the ‘feminine’ one, which smells like baby cologne. Excellent blind buy.

Adolfo Domínguez Verbena 2023 Limited Edition: Official notes are ginger, citron, and lemon verbena; it sounds warm, spiced, citrusy and herbal. To me, it smells of mint and other things. It’s absolutely beastly in extreme heat, becoming luminous, wild and electric instantly. As the box says, it’s very vegan. To me, it smells like Sprite, that classic green drink. A fizzy, rich fragrance for hot days.

  • It’s a very rich fragrance. Unfortunately, it feels strong for the first 30 minutes and then fades so much that you have to look for it very close to the skin. It has no sillage, no projection. If someone gets close, they can smell it, but in my experience, they couldn’t tell if it was perfume, clothes, or cream. It has no impact nor is it identifiable. For personal use, like a post-shower cologne in summer, it’s rich, but if we judge it as a perfume, it falls short. The aroma is very rich. Its performance depends on the use: for home, post-shower, and relaxing, it’s very good. If you’re thinking of wearing it out to make an impression, it doesn’t work; even a deodorant has more presence.

  • I bought it a year ago just because it was on offer (around $10 at launch). I didn’t like it at all, it smells of very persistent moss (I’m not a fan of greens). The sillage is super wide and it lingers a lot on the skin (will it be that only the ones that annoy me project? Haha). I’ve received many compliments and I still use it from time to time. Very for summer, a compliment bomb in my case, but I hate it. I wouldn’t buy it again. Usable for people over 40. Just a personal opinion, I’m not an expert.

  • It smells green, well herbal but not vintage, rather a modern green with a citrus and herb mix. As with all of Adolfo, the quality is enormous, but the sillage and longevity are just. Still, I recommend it for exclusive summer use. As a final note, it smells totally unisex to me.

  • Adolfo Domínguez Verbena is citrusy, herbal and spiced. Herbal, aromatic and spiced opening, with a very pleasant, zesty ginger. It reminds me a lot of Dior Homme Cologne and its sister Citrus Cedre. Over time, a musky and woody base emerges, but the herbal citrus remains. It’s for daytime use, in warm climates, spring and summer, casual outings or personal enjoyment for that fresh, clean scent. On my skin, it lasts 5-6 hours with notable sillage for the first hour, then it stays close to the skin. If you’re looking for something fresh, citrusy and affordable, it’s a good option.

  • Adolfo Domínguez’s Verbena is citrusy, herbal, and spiced. Herbal, aromatic, and spiced opening, with a zesty and sparkling ginger. It reminds me a lot of Dior Homme Cologne and Citrus Cedro. • If you like green perfumes, this could be your option. It has good longevity and sillage. The ginger feels strong at times and, in the end, it smells like insect repellent to me. I could swear it has more notes than declared. It would be good for the heat of the season.

  • In my parents’ garden, there’s a citronella plant that I’ve always enjoyed smelling. When I tried this, I immediately noticed it was a citronella fragrance. I didn’t know the plant was also called verbena; it was a pleasant surprise. I’d love for it to last all day, but being a fresh scent, you can’t ask for more. It’s relaxing, natural, and refreshing. Perfect for a hot day seeking tranquility.

  • I bought it on offer for summer and the gym. The citronella is noticeable at first, the ginger is there but doesn’t stand out. What you feel most is a potent citrus note, like just citronella and lemon. It’s nice, light, and citrusy, but it doesn’t last more than an hour. I don’t use it much because I find it boring and it fades quickly.

Incredible perfume. At first, it smells similar to Citrus Cedro, but afterwards it’s green, like a garden with plants after the rain. It’s sparkling and captivating. The downside, as with the whole collection, is that it hardly lasts. Still, for the price, it’s worth it if you live in heat and like herbal and citrus scents.

I bought it blind because I’m a fan of Adolfo Domínguez and liked the name and the box. Wow… I loved it. It smells clean, like a sunny afternoon under a tree. The verbena puts you in a good mood with its simple cleanliness. Great value for money. Maybe it doesn’t last as long, but it’s worth carrying the bottle and giving yourself a couple of sprays at midday.

I bought it a year ago on offer for about $10. I didn’t like it at all; it smells of persistent moss (I’m not a fan of green scents). It projects massively and lingers on the skin for hours (why only the ones that annoy me project so much? Ha!). I’ve received many compliments and still use it occasionally. It’s very summery, a bomb of compliments in my case, but I hate it. I wouldn’t buy it again. I think it’s usable for people over 40. *** Personal opinion, not an expert.

  • I tried two sprays on my arm: it’s fresh, not soapy, herbal but more like soft grass than strong herbs. Ideal for spring and summer. The downside is it has almost no sillage and lasts only 3-4 hours. In Chile, it costs between 16 and 20 pesos for 120ml.

Simple but fulfilling. I am a newcomer to the world of perfumes (an important clarification for what follows). To me, it smells like an inexpensive children’s perfume. It vaguely reminds me of the Pibes and Paco perfumes from Argentina. Perhaps it’s more of an intellectual than a sensory association. But it’s my honest opinion. It’s very rich and fulfils the purpose for daily use on a summer day.

  • A pleasant surprise; indeed, for me it delivers on the three B’s: Good, Beautiful, and Cheap, and the price has dropped a bit since its launch in 2023. The downside is that it’s a limited edition. It’s less reviewed and hyped than its cousin Citrus Cedro, which in my opinion is quite more conventional and trite. Along with Amber Bergamot and the new limited edition Grapefruit, they currently form my trio of ace fragrances from the brand, each distinct. Simplifying greatly, Verbena is the citrus-green, Amber Bergamot the citrus-sweet, and Grapefruit the citrus-bitter. All three are quite unisex. Despite the poor reviews regarding Verbena’s performance, it works reasonably well for me, lasting about 5, sometimes 6 hours, with sustained projection clearly perceptible in my personal bubble, especially when applied generously. Verbena feels quite well-made, offering a tasty citrus-herbal aroma, with a clean and refreshing opening that is slightly soapy, nothing strident, natural, and very rich. Its development is marked by a pleasant, characterful herbaceous note that adds up and envelops the citrus tones, settling on a soft, recognisable, and common woody base shared by other perfumes from the brand. It results in a cheerful, very stimulating, original, and well-constructed scent, more focused for informal and everyday situations in hot seasons, and in my case also for sport. In these scenarios, it’s perfect. For an affordable fragrance for these uses, and to spruce up without complexes, I ask for, in addition to a good price and a scent that suits me and is refreshing, a certain naturalness and personality, where quality and acceptable performance are perceived. All this is what this Verbena offers me. For miracles in a fresh water under 30 euros, lasting ten hours on skin or being noticed at four metres without smelling like cheap hairspray, one should go to Lourdes or Fatima. The secret to the longevity of summer aromas that identify the handsome types who are always excellently perfumed is called decant. The bottles of these limited editions are chulísimos. Salu2.

  • There must be more notes… It smells refined, reminiscent of Hermès, light yet constant, creating an almost nostalgic angelic halo, but not childish. A delicious, fresh, and addictive aroma.

  • Sofigm594

A very rich fragrance. Super citrus opening, sparkling, with a touch of sweetness without being cloying. Then it turns more green and elegant. Ideal for use in spring and summer during the day. A fragrance I doubt anyone wouldn’t like.

  • It smells green, well herbal but not vintage, rather a modern green, with a citrus and herbaceous blend. Like everything Adolfo does, the quality is huge, but the sillage and longevity are just. I’d still recommend it for exclusive summer use. Final note: it smells totally unisex on me.

  • ivillalobosa

Verbena is above all a subtle and delicate fragrance. It opens with a sparkling citrus note, quickly giving way to lemon verbena leaves, ginger, and a barely perceptible floral touch. Then come the fresh green leaves, giving the impression of being in a garden that has just been watered: fresh, clean, and refreshing. Finally, after two hours, it dries down to a slightly sweet, subtle, and very pleasant fruity aroma right on the skin that fades slowly. I suggest reapplying after four or five hours. While it’s not a beast mode fragrance, its quality, evolution, and subtlety make me recommend it without doubt for temperate climates, spring, summer, day or night; it suits all genders and ages.

  • Pachi San

There must be more notes… It smells fine, smells like Hermès, it’s light but constant, generating an almost nostalgic angelic halo, but it doesn’t smell childish. A delicious, fresh and addictive scent.

  • Pachi San

What a beautiful perfume! Herbal, delicate, with a lovely sense of vitality. It’s marketed as masculine but is totally unisex. On the dry-down, it reminded me a lot of Classic Pride. The lemon verbena note is very realistic. I wish it lasted a bit longer, but with the excellent price, there’s no shame in reapplying as often as needed. I actually prefer the masculine version over the feminine one; the latter smells like baby cologne. An excellent blind buy.

  • JohnLecter86

A fresh fragrance that doesn’t bother anyone; it delivers in every way. The only drawback is that it doesn’t last long; after four hours, it needs reapplying. Of course, that’s understandable; it’s one of the downsides of fresh fragrances. Definitely worth it if you want to smell good at a very accessible price.

  • Excellent aroma, simple, fulfilling, and neat. That said, it smells more green than citrus (but a very pleasant, subtle green). To make it last, I need to apply about 15 drops… but at the price, it doesn’t hurt (I paid 22k for 120ml during a hot sale).

  • An exquisite scent. Citrus opening with green notes that give it a spectacular touch. It smells like a very pleasant detergent; not as soapy as dishwasher liquid, but it does have that elegant, clean, and rich profile perfect for hot days. The downside is longevity: maximum 3-4 hours before it fades to just skin scent. I get moderate sillage, with a bit left on clothes, but unfortunately, that’s the price of a citrus fragrance. Still, at the price ($12), it’s nothing to reapply.
