A fragrance with great personality, sober and elegant. Suitable for any occasion. It’s not a crowd-pleaser, but it shouts ‘here I am’. It lasts eight hours without problems, and the trail is moderate but very pleasant. Excellent perfume!
Beautiful fragrance, undoubtedly the best in the line. The longevity and trail exceed my expectations, along with excellent projection performance.
This fragrance has a note that reminds me of Solo by Loewe, perhaps due to that sharp citrus opening. The heart is spiced, then it settles into a woody base with cedar; I barely notice the vetiver, but there is a very soft musk. It lasts eight hours and makes the big designer houses look pale by comparison.
Ebano Salvia smells of woods and pure nature. You can tell Adolfo Dominguez take good care of their perfumes: the bottle, the atomiser, and that fresh scent. They’re affordable, and it’s a pleasure to find such quality. It lasts 6–8 hours without any issues. For a spring evening, it’s one of the best options I have.
It’s one of my top favourites, though I have a small gripe: I think it needs a touch of gin to give it that extra kick.
Smells rich and fresh at first, then turns woody. Lasts a tiny amount of time; I see it as an autumn or winter freshie, ideal post-gym, but never as a signature. If you catch it cheap, it’s worth it. Edit: tested more on skin and projection is non-existent, stays right on the skin. Not recommended…
A very rich scent, with a refreshing opening that then turns woody. It lasts very little; I see it as an autumn-winter freshie, suitable for use after the gym, etc. Never as a signature fragrance. Considering this, if you find it at a good price, it is recommended. Edit: I have been able to test it more thoroughly on skin, and its projection is practically non-existent, staying almost right up against the skin from the start. Therefore, I cannot recommend it…
I managed to try this this week at a perfumery on a strip of blotting paper, and I must say it is the least favourite of the new AD releases. It does not suit me much, though it is not bad either. In fact, something curious happened with this fragrance on the blotter: from the first hour onwards, it reminded me strongly of the smell of Bitter Kas (a famous Spanish soft drink). In short, the associations the nose makes can sometimes be unpredictable…
As a user of this fragrance, I must disagree that it is a winter-autumn cologne. It features clean woods leaning towards freshness, with a spicy and citrusy touch. It lacks the heaviness and strength required for cool climates, nor is it suitable for outdoor wear. Its performance lasts about six or seven hours when applied well, which is decent. You can smell it up close, but it has almost no trail; I recommend applying it without fear as it is not at all invasive. I like the scent much; it feels natural and evokes a certain wisdom, much like its packaging suggests. It goes well with appropriate attire—nothing sporty or overly casual, as you would look out of place. It is a fairly serious yet pleasant aroma for anyone. I see it for the office, formal work meetings, at home, in university, or in a library. It is not particularly youthful but was quite easy for me to wear; I would say it suits those over twenty-five (I am twenty-three). In short, it is a daytime fragrance for spring-summer or even not-too-cool autumn, with performance that is very much a matter of personal taste and a pleasant, well-crafted scent. In terms of price-to-quality ratio, I believe better options can be found with better performance at the same price or even less. I like it but would not buy it again. I am not sure if I would recommend it; that really depends on personal preference.
A very rich aroma that feels high quality, as with other scents from the brand considering the price… but, as is often the case with Adolfo, the performance is a bit weak.
Excellent value for money and my favourite from the brand. Like the rest of the line, it opens with a citrus note, but within minutes clean woods emerge, giving it great depth. The result is a fresh-woody scent. I wear it to work and it suits me perfectly. While the longevity on skin is average, the fragrance clings to my clothes. Highly recommended if you’re looking for something fresh yet characterful, rather than just citrus and floral.
With this fragrance, you can hardly go wrong. It walks common ground without falling into mediocrity; it announces itself early as an elegant scent without solemnity, pleasant without trying too hard, and honest in its good taste. Very aromatic citrus notes with little spice give way to fragrant woods, wrapped by notes that colour the blend without overpowering it, and vetiver to add masculine character. Everything is very correct and pleasant. I won’t deny that more longevity would be desired and that it requires a generous application to project well, but this house isn’t known for those virtues. I don’t see it as youthful, but it’s a great option for mild climates, dates, meetings, or relaxed moments. Very versatile for everyday wear and perfect for someone who doesn’t want to collect but has a good product that perfumes and accompanies.
Hard to go wrong with this fragrance. It walks common ground but does so with good taste, avoiding mediocrity by establishing itself quickly as an elegant scent without solemnity, pleasant without showing off, and honest in its simplicity. Very aromatic citrus notes that aren’t overly spiced soon give way to fragrant woods, subtly supported by light touches of accords that colour the composition without overpowering it, finishing with vetiver to add a masculine character. Everything is correct and agreeable. I won’t deny that more longevity would be welcome and that it requires generous application to project decently, but this house isn’t known precisely for having these traits as great virtues. I don’t see it as youthful, but it’s a good option for temperate climates or seasons, dates, meetings, and generally relaxed moments. Quite versatile as a daily fragrance and excellent for those who don’t wish to collect but simply want a good, pleasant product to perfume and complement their day.
I bought this a year ago and loved the fragrance. It lacks those woods that feel refreshing on hot days yet remain wearable in cooler climates. However, the performance is very poor. The trail is weak and, at best, lasts fifteen minutes before it becomes skin-only. It doesn’t even last more than an hour on clothes. It’s a low-cost scent in Europe but feels like a mid-range product in our blessed Argentina. The price isn’t justified. I bought it for informal use, but it ends up being just a shower splash.
It smells similar or shares the same vibe as PDM Sedley.
Lovely scent but terrible performance; I’m grateful when it lasts more than two hours on my skin.
Good aroma but terrible performance, I’m thankful when it lasts more than two hours on skin.
Smells nice but the longevity and sillage are virtually non-existent; I wouldn’t recommend it for actual use. If you just want it as a decorative piece, I suppose it’s fine since the bottle is lovely, but they sell it ridiculously expensive in department stores—around 1,000 Mexican pesos or even more. Absolutely bonkers for what it lasts.
My first perfume. For the price you can’t ask for more. It’s very woody but not overly mature; it has woods that lean towards maturity but also something youthful. It’s not for teenagers it smells delicious and lasts four or five hours. Don’t expect much for the price; it’s for everyday wear.
Fresh opening that quickly turns woody with a soft trail ideal for the office. It stays in your personal bubble for a few hours; it doesn’t last long but given the scent and price it’s worth it.
Although it doesn’t last long it has a very particular woody note that sometimes smells a bit like Coca-Cola. It’s earned me more than one compliment at work 🍂.
Although it doesn’t last long, it has a very particular woody aroma that sometimes reminds me a little of Coca-Cola. I’ve received more than one compliment when I wear it at work 🍂
At first it’s incredibly interesting with 30 minutes of sensuality before drying down to a woody scent a blend between Terre d’Hermès for the vetiver and Kenzo Boisé for the woods. The major flaw is the longevity; it’s very faint and isn’t justified by the price especially when Middle Eastern fragrances last longer. It’s a good aroma different classic sensual and fresh seducing through cleanliness. If you don’t need more than an hour it’s seductive comfortable and timeless.
The scent is top-notch and I absolutely love it but the longevity falls short. I wear it to sleep and still smell sophisticated; my girlfriend is obsessed with it yet for a date or going to the cinema it leaves no trail beyond skin level. Initially notes of grapefruit and bergamot then cedar darkens it and vetiver adds maturity.
Ufff, what a scent! If it had performance, they’d put it in a Guerlain, Chanel or Dior bottle and charge 200 euros. Many people would happily pay that! It smells distinguished; on my skin it’s woody and subtly spiced, yet versatile for any age. It suits a young man at his confirmation just as well as a 50+ professional in the office. It has elegance. It’s discreet, intimate, and circumspect. It’s not boring or lacking personality; it is elegance. Elegance is discreet, moderate, measured, nothing strident or attention-seeking. I’ve been fascinated. The quality of the ingredients rivals the top brands. What a shame about the longevity, but what’s it costing? Just reapply and move on. Excellent fragrance.
The scent is brilliant, excessively delicious. The longevity is a shame: it projects for 45 minutes, maybe an hour, then loses its punch. It lingers on the skin for 4 hours before vanishing. I’d recommend it only for informal occasions: the cinema, post-work dinner. It won’t draw attention, but it works well.
Wow, what a scent. If this had better performance, they’d bottle it under Guerlain, Chanel or Dior and charge you 200 euros; many people would happily pay it. It’s a gentleman’s aroma; on my skin it’s woody and subtly spiced, yet versatile for any age. It suits a young man coming of age or an older gentleman in the office. It has elegance: discreet, intimate, measured. It’s not boring or lacking personality; it’s pure elegance. I’ve been fascinated. The quality of the ingredients doesn’t envy the top designer scents at all. Pity it doesn’t last as long, but for the price, just reapply and you’re good. Excellent fragrance.
Nice aroma, but it doesn’t last at all. One of the worst in longevity I’ve ever had; I was left stranded and haven’t used it since. It’s a bottled rip-off. It’s not perfume, it’s cologne. What a pity, because it smells very good, a rich woody scent that would be great with better longevity. It seems they deliberately make it poorly so it doesn’t last.
After months of testing: smells of a damp, warm and cosy forest. It has charm and is rich, yet serious. It’s as if you took the playful and sweet side out of YSL Y EDP, leaving only clean, fresh woods. A good quality and balanced scent. Performance: abysmal; after an hour and a half it has no projection, though it lasts longer on clothes. With a 120 ml bottle, you can bathe in perfume without it hurting your wallet. Reapply at four hours to revive it. I recommend it for work, customer-facing roles or meeting bosses; it gives a sense of calm and security. Only if you’re looking for a great scent and don’t mind the poor longevity.
I’ll be brief, it’s not worth more. Rich aroma, one of the best from AD. Fresh, for summer. Performance is very poor, like most of the Fresh Waters line. You can smell it for 30 minutes, literally. Need to reapply every hour. For the price, it’s not worth it at all.
Very brief: smells rich, one of the best from AD, but fresh and summery. The longevity is a fiasco, like the rest of the Eau de Fraiche line: it fades in 30 minutes, literally. You have to reapply every hour. For the price, it’s not worth it.
