  • I don’t understand why no one talks about this fragrance. I managed to get a decant, and upon smelling it, I ordered the full bottle straight away. I used it yesterday and it was a bomb of compliments: applied at 6 am and it lasted until 9 pm with excellent projection. I hope whoever tries it finds it lasts as long. The scent is 10/10: fresh, musky, clean, and full of woods. It is too versatile and easy to like for both the wearer and those around them.

  • I don’t understand where people get the idea that it smells like Dior Homme 2020, Loewe 7, or Kenzo, but I have finally found the one that truly emulates this Armaf: the Black Meisterstück by Montblanc. It was fantastic; I had high expectations, and upon smelling it, there it was—that scent of pine in a misty, cold, and elegant forest that I hadn’t managed to locate in any designer house. Of course, the Armaf is seven hundred times more strident and loud, whereas the Montblanc is elegant and sumptuous. Both capture that essence of a dark forest, but the Armaf broke the mould well, creating a marvel of the future.

  • Simple yet with its own character. Upon spraying, the bergamot offers a citrusy kick that lasts about 20 minutes before yielding to a woody base. It’s the kind of fragrance that defines you: elegant casual, perfect with a jumper and trousers. If you’re seeking a woody scent that doesn’t sound like what everyone else is wearing today, give it a try. 8/10.

  • To begin with, it doesn’t smell like Dior Homme or Loewe, nor does it recall the Black Meisterstück. It’s rich, green, and potent. At first, it resembles freshly cut wild plants rather than lawn, with a deep citrus undertone. I thought it would suit the cold, but it fades quickly; in the heat, however, it unleashes its full potential. One day my father smelled it from metres away and swore it was a sawmill, that fresh-cut cedar green wood. And he was right; it smells exactly like that.

I obtained this fragrance thinking that, based on reviews and the perfumes I remembered, it would be similar to Dior Homme. Totally wrong. Upon application, it brings Santal 33 to my mind. It is not the same but it gets very close. If you are looking for something similar, this is the perfume. Projection and longevity are beastly: with one spray it lasted 8 hours and was felt in every place I entered. It does not smell bad and feels of good quality, but it is not my style.

Indeed, it has a strong tendency towards the Black Meisterstück by Montblanc. It also carries that soapy touch of Loewe 7, but this is less sharp and strident than the incense in Loewe. Star is elegant, woody, and has that Montblanc incense vibe. They are similar, but this Armaf feels greener and fresher without being loud. The Montblanc is more sumptuous and delicate. I think it is perfect for Holy Week. It is an all-rounder for any season, day, or night. It doesn’t follow the sandalwood line, but people see it that way because of the similarities. The Armaf and Montblanc are dark, green, and incense-like, whereas sandalwood is fresh, rich, and floral. Overall, it is elegant, and if you like green and dark woody scents (like Bentley Absolute, though this smells dirtier), or clean sandalwoods, it is a blind buy.

Indeed, it has a strong tendency towards Black Meisterstück by Montblanc. It also has that soapy tendency of the Loewe 7, but the Loewe is very sharp and strident with the incense and that ultra-fresh note (I don’t like it); Star is an elegant and woody aroma with that incense vibe of the Montblanc. They are quite similar, but this Armaf seems greener and fresher (not strident or shouty), while the Montblanc is more sumptuous and delicate. I think it is the perfect perfume to wear during Holy Week and is a must-have for any season, day, or night. I don’t think it follows the Santal 33 line, but due to dupes or similarities to this, I understand why people see it in that woody direction; however, the Armaf and Montblanc are dark, green, and incense-heavy (although Desert Star does not declare it, I believe that is where the difference between the Armaf and Montblanc is noted: if it had incense it would perhaps be more opaque and sumptuous like the Montblanc, but it imitates the note in a fairly decent way). Whereas Santal 33 is fresh, rich, and floral wood. In general, the perfume is an all-rounder and results in elegance; if you like woody, green, and dark scents like Bentley Absolute (this one is very dirty), any clean sandalwood perfume, TF Oud Wood, YSL Y Ultême, HB Parfum, the Loewe incense line, etc. (woody to death), this could be a blind buy.

  • For me, it does have that something of Loewe 7. It is not an exact clone, but it shares that elegant, dark, and slightly spicy aura that makes it recognisable to those who have worn it. I see it as perfect as a night perfume: it has that balance between depth and mystery that fits perfectly for outings, dinners, or moments where you want to leave a good impression without going to the extreme.

  • I don’t know what this is, but it takes me to heaven. I don’t know much about perfumery; I just buy what I like. It is a scent bomb: with four sprays it projects for 2 hours, then it lingers in the personal aura with constant bursts. I’m going for another bottle because it simply cannot be missing.

  • Pendragon

A very rich perfume that exudes masculinity, elegance, and sensuality; it is citrusy, spicy, earthy, and has a sweet touch. I have been wearing it for two weeks and I have loved it. I found it similar to Club de Nuit Private Key, the grey bottle one. From the line, I also have Arabian Sky, Desert Night, and Oasis, and this has been the one I liked the most, a safe purchase.

  • If you ever wanted to wear the TDH but didn’t because a friend wore it and you missed out, this perfume is a blind buy. Maximus Decimus Meridius, commander of the Northern armies, general of the Phoenix Legions, loyal servant of the only emperor Marcus Aurelius (…) would wear this perfume… It is EPIC! It has the spicy personality of Terre d’Hermès and matches well with Santal 33. It is not a clone, but it could be a cousin. It is not citrusy but just as spicy. I feel the pink pepper SO much, as if I had it in my hands; I guarantee you, from childhood memories, that is what you smell and not incense or mint; it is pink pepper from the molle tree (Schinus molle), typical of the towns in the Salta, Jujuy, and coastal regions. If you walk in summer there, you will see the pink pepper balls with the exact same opening scent as this perfume. There is vetiver full in the middle and sandalwood at the end. Watch out for spraying 6 times, it is very strong, flies through the air, and lasts about 4 hours with 2 applications. On the skin, it does not come off even after washing your hands twice. It is barely sweet, far from cloying. Anyway, as I said at the beginning, that happened to me and I felt and confirm it. If you ever felt that regarding the TDH, this perfume is a blind buy with a good touch of distinction, as there are differences in the aroma. Until my search arrived, this is darker and more serious, Arabian Sky for the day and eventually night outings (another product for a blind buy if you like the Bleu de Chanel style, the story repeats itself with this and the TDH 🤣🤣🤣🤣). Greetings! Hopefully my comment helps 🙏🏻🙌🏻

  • As other reviews say, it does smell green, perhaps like grass but slightly sweet, not freshly cut. The woody part reminds me quite a bit of Odyssey Aoud, but without the sweet saffron note of that one; however, it does have a medicinal undertone at the base that it shares with the Aoud, along with musk and a touch of pink pepper. Very good longevity and projection; recommended if you are looking for something different.

  • This perfume reminds me of working in my grandfather’s garden in Galicia, digging a trench; it smells of herbs and wet earth. I don’t know how to explain it, but I love it. It is very similar to the Loewe scent, only this one has much more incense, which makes it slightly worse for me as I dislike that note. I think it is very advisable because it is well-liked and has no overly sharp or unpleasant notes.

To save you time, I would describe this as professional, polished, intellectual, and calming. It is the ideal perfume to project seriousness and good taste without being intrusive. Perfect for the office, meetings, or warm climates where others feel too heavy. It is a ‘skin scent’: it doesn’t fill the room, but anyone who gets close will perceive an exquisite and comforting aroma. It is infallible. This profile smells very much like Escentric Molecules – Molecule 05 or certain facets of Encre Noire Sport when dry, and recalls the style of Prada Homme for that impeccable cleanliness.

  • Super elegant and formal fragrance, perfect for everyday wear and all seasons. It has excellent longevity. It is very much in the style of the Loewe 7 line. I’ve read it is compared to Terre d’Hermès; well, Desert Star has a slight earthy note, and while it is not a clone, it certainly shares a family resemblance with the French house’s scent. Greetings to the community!
