Desert Night by Armaf

Smells similar to Imperial Valley or Sultan The Founder by French Avenue. Lasts quite a while, though perhaps doesn’t project as much. It’s a particular scent; I’d try it before smelling it, but it smells very good to me. The box and presentation are super pretty and well-cared-for. It doesn’t smell too strong to me. I don’t think it’s particularly appealing to women.

A well-masculine fragrance, a delicious sweet leather scent. Like a blue fragrance but with a dominant leather note. It has presence, smells like someone who knows what they want and how to get it. Brilliant.

I bought it today and that’s the best way to describe it: a perfume that hits you initially with a leather aroma, like a brand new luxury car, but underneath has that smoothed-out wood and burnt smell. If I were to summarise it, it would be: ‘LEATHER, ASH, POWDERED’.

I’m new to perfumes and I find it hard to describe them, but here I noticed the pepper and leather at the start. As it dries, it leaves a woody scent with a controlled sweetness and the pepper persists. It accidentally got on my hair (it’s a bit long) and lasted nearly a week. Same on the shirt; the scent remained for days; I could smell it from the laundry basket and even after washing it. I’d recommend trying it before buying, as it has that typical oriental aroma. I bought it blind but stayed for that note of pepper and woods.

Eter Desert Night is slightly sweet leather, very clean and pleasant (good reason to say it seems to have camphor). I can’t find if it’s inspired by anything else, but in my opinion it reminds me of Tom Ford without that messy strawberry leather that I hate. I agree with everyone: its performance is very good in cold weather (8 hours, projecting 3 and 5 on bubble), but in heat it doesn’t do badly at all (in heat it highlights the sweet part), almost like white chocolate… it smells like a new car, indeed, good comparison. Very pleasant for a confident man. As something curious, it hasn’t given me compliments, but people don’t stop coming up to chat. Greetings.

Exaggeratingly good, in my opinion. It’s like the interior of a brand new luxury car, with clean leather (like soap) and a very rich sweet base that balances the leather and makes it seem clean. Ideal for evening or cold climates, for dressing elegantly and with personality, because it’s a scent not everyone likes; for example, I have colleagues who like it but my sister hates it. And almost generally, men like it. Very good the Éter line and this is one of my favourites of the over 60 perfumes I own. Its performance is brutal for me, who have difficult skin, and on clothes it lasts days.

DESERT NIGHT, yes sir, that’s what it means: A DESERT NIGHT. This is magic, perhaps the story of an ancient Arab prince who escaped his kingdom due to betrayal, mounting a camel with canteens and leather briefcases. Night fell, he saw an oasis and camped. He took a bath in the oasis with his artisanal green and camphorated shampoo, cleaning his wounds. Then he rubbed himself with sandalwood, frankincense and patchouli oils. He returned to his tent, dressed in silk and cured leather that fermented with clean smells, giving a clean, green, camphorated, earthy and greyish leather. He took out maps and chewed tonka bean. He has made a decision: he won’t let anyone harm his people. That DESERT NIGHT. SMELL: Camphorated, green, clean, deep, masculine, earthy, spicy leather. Navigate calmly in the niche world.
