  • It smells of floral neatness, neutral, beautiful, and pure. After a while, the flowers touch milk and it reminds me very much of Bjork’s music video ‘All is full of love’. It could be the scent of the white liquid that soaks the robots: androgynous, neutral, and synthetic. Those who like clean scents such as ‘This is not a blue bottle’ or ‘Swim’, or even ‘Alien’ by Mugler, will love it for its breadth and luminosity.

  • It has me in love. It smells clean but with a creamy touch that makes it very versatile. It’s long-lasting; perhaps it’s more noticeable during the day, but in spring and summer it can be worn at night. I see it as modern but with classic potential. A great success from ELO alongside Soul of very soul. I love it 🥰

Stuffy, very skin-like, clean scent, unique. I’m in love. I have a sample and I’m going for a bottle because it was love at first sniff. 💗

  • What a marvel. Clean, neat, metallic, and lactonic. Addictive, good trail and acceptable longevity. For daily use, it doesn’t discomfort anyone and is easy to like. Distinctive and original. I love it.

  • What a marvel. Clean, neat, metallic, and lactonic. It’s addictive, with a good trail and acceptable longevity. Ideal for everyday wear, it doesn’t bother anyone and is easy to wear. Distinctive and original, I love it.

  • Another unclassifiable creation from the most original house. I don’t know the manga, but let’s talk about the perfume. How strange! The bottle has human skin-coloured glass. It smells of skin, but not the sexual kind of ‘Under my Skin’, but the soft and clean kind of a baby. There is a clear lactonic note that reinforces that friendly image. The jasmine adds cleanliness, but it’s not a floral. In the background, it smells very much of Ambroxan. Forget broken androids; I don’t know what that smells like. My approach is clean baby skin. The feeling is cosy and very neat. You can’t qualify it or determine its ideal use, but day after day it wins for the pleasure of feeling it. No one compliments you with this; people think you smell like that without perfume. You attract people, but no one says it. It performs well, about six hours. I like to treasure unique and rare things.

When you seek the essence in a dystopian future where technology dehumanises us, Ghost in the Shell is a narcissistic hologram about our existence. Etienne de Swardt’s agency, a ‘rude egoist’, aims to create a fantasy world where beauty resides in the strange. This disdain for the conventional allows scents like corroded chips, electrified asphalt, and post-biological fluids. Perhaps they don’t quite achieve it, but with hexyl acetate, ambroxan, and vinyl guaiacol, they manage a cyberpunk atmosphere: ozonic, pure, and fresh like a restorer in retro-futuristic Tokyo. ‘Celebrate in silence the trail of the future and whisper of a day to come where humanity organises itself’. A qualitative leap towards transhumanism. Can you imagine Major Kusanagi with this?

  • The first thing I thought upon perceiving this fragrance was ‘Oh, I like it’, but then I thought ‘What is in this?’. And wow, it’s a unique fragrance without being strident, and it has something that makes you not stop liking it… I really feel the yuzu and that somewhat masculine skin scent, but not extremely so… ELDO did this perfume very well, and gives it that interpretation of sexy, different synthetic skin… A good purchase! (Don’t buy it if you like strong perfumes or don’t like the lactonic scent). Edit. After two months, I still like this scent; it’s very unique, but I’ve realised it’s for personal enjoyment, as it has almost no trail; you only smell it if you hug someone or they are very close to you… I still like it, but not enough to buy again.

  • The first thought was ‘Oh, I like it’, then I thought ‘What does this contain?’. Wow, it’s unique without being strident. I feel a lot of yuzu and that masculine skin smell but not extreme. • Well, another unclassifiable creation from the ‘house’, the most original of all. I don’t know the manga it’s inspired by, so I’ll talk about the perfume itself. How strange it is! Even the bottle, while having the same rectangular line as all the ELDO bottles, tries to make the glass resemble human skin colour. It is true that it smells of skin, or something that resembles it very much, but it’s not the sexual skin of Under My Skin; on the contrary, it’s quite the opposite, it’s the soft, clean skin of a baby, that charming scent all little ones leave around the house. There is also a clear lactonic note, which reinforces the friendly and apparently harmless image of the aroma. The jasmine combined with all that adds even more cleanliness, but let no one think this is a floral in any way. And in the background, it smells very much of ambroxan, but a lot, a lot. Come on, leave me alone with broken androids or cyberpunk sheep, I don’t know what anything smells like. I make the closest approximation with things I know; the rest is following the brand’s story and fantasy. I admit, apart from making perfumes, they are good at making stories. What does it feel like wearing this? Above all, a cosy feeling and a great sense of cleanliness. It’s a perfume you can’t classify, nor determine its ideal use or what you’ll get out of it, or in what situations, but it beats others day after day for the mere pleasure of feeling it. And that’s already saying quite a bit, eh? Well, no, let’s just twist the point a little more. It turns out no one compliments you with this. And no one is anyone. The explanation, at least the one that fits for me, is not that it’s a scent people don’t like, or that it doesn’t last long (it performs well for approximately six hours), but that its effort to imitate skin with such subtlety and cleanliness makes others think you smell that way. That you aren’t wearing perfume. And surely they are attracted to you, no doubt remains, but of course, no one is going to compliment you for what they assume is your natural scent. How much I like to treasure unique and rare things like these.

  • This perfume has truly left me intrigued, totally intentional yet still somewhat ordinary within the segment of white fragrances or those with a clean/floral profile. I tried this fragrance at Scent Bar in NYC and must admit it has become very addictive the more I smell it. Inspired by the manga of the same name, GITS is inspired by what one might imagine the skin of a robot or android to smell like. At first, there’s a clean, aquatic/fresh, lactonic, almost synaesthetically white scent. There’s a very prominent note of clean, moisturised skin, milk, and something slightly metallic but pristine. What a wild opening! As it dries down, you start to perceive floral notes of jasmine and, in my opinion, lily of the valley (muguet), which rather than taking the spotlight as the perfume dries, provide additional support to the clean and pristine profile of the fragrance. The ambroxan and other artificial molecules, which I won’t even attempt to dissect in this review, are decisive as they contribute that characteristic clean musk that accompanies white florals. The perfume itself doesn’t have much evolution, however, the opening feels much more aquatic and fresh. What an incredible perfume, obtuse when you see the notes, intriguing when you read the name, and incredibly simple when you try it. If I had to place it in a specific aromatic profile, I’d say it’s a floral/lactonic/musky scent. Completely unisex, yet very suitable for women due to the floral notes worked with musk and milk. With a duration of seven hours on the skin, but leaving an incredibly natural scent in the dry-down, very similar to clean skin recently moisturised with a cream. Its use is practically suitable for all seasons and any part of the day. However, it stands out perfectly in spring. It goes perfectly with a white dress or light clothing. With moderate performance, but with the certainty that you will acquire an incredibly intentional perfume that surely no one in your circle has smelled or is prepared for such a particular scent. Try it on skin; unlike other fragrances where application on clothing is adequate for better projection, in this particular perfume, its use on skin stands out much more and allows you to appreciate its nuances. What an incredible jewel, one of those rare ones, but its very eccentricity makes it a beautiful and completely out-of-the-ordinary piece.

  • The opening surprised me: on my skin it’s a green jasmine, like smelling the flowers on the plant, very real. I’m not enthusiastic about jasmine, but here I liked it for the natural nuance. As it dries, it evolves into a clean skin scent, just after getting out of the shower. Super pleasant and comforting aroma. But unfortunately it doesn’t have much power or projection; after a few hours it stays close to the skin, although it lasts on the skin.

  • The dry-down surprised me because on my skin it’s a green jasmine (as if you were smelling the flowers directly on the plant), very real. I’m not usually a huge fan of jasmine, but I loved it here for such a natural nuance. As it dries down, it evolves into a scent of clean skin. Totally the smell of skin just after a shower. A super pleasant aroma. I really like the scent; it’s comforting… but unfortunately, in my case, the fragrance lacks much power or projection. Within a few hours, it stays close to the skin, although it does last on the skin.

  • What a curious combination of notes in this fragrance! At first, it smells of fermented milk with a citrus hint (probably from the yuzu) and a slightly floral touch, but then it evolves into a somewhat dirty, animalic, and woody musk, albeit in a gentle way… The projection and trail are soft, which is a success here, as in ‘beast mode’ it would become too synthetic and invasive. I don’t recommend buying it blindly.

  • I’ll be sparing with exact words, as I always proceed through images: The scent I perceive is that of a soapy cleanliness. Of old-fashioned soap, made with care. It reminds me immensely of childhood, of the soft skin of balloons. It’s an intimate, pleasant, very tactile smell. I don’t know how to be more precise or close. The feeling is of a return to childhood, but always a return, not to a present childhood. It’s a return having already lived many things, a return to something of which you do not wish to shear anything nor do it harm.

  • Victortor

Straight away, it’s not my style. It smells clean, yes. But the way the citrus, the florals, and above all the lactonic note are brought across just don’t work for me. I’m sure I’ll have to give it more chances and it might have positive aspects, but I’d prefer not to continue testing it. The 2 ml I have are enough for me.

  • Andres.Eduardo.dcs

Well, let’s see… I’ve read several reviews and I’m not in doubt that it’s a good fragrance… But the Cyberpunk genre, which is what I imagine with this name, doesn’t smell of flowers to me, nor of musks, and certainly not of cleanliness. I would have expected notes of vinyl, metal, sweat… But it seems the inspiration came from synthetic notes and Japanese style. However, it has intrigued me, and despite the name and my mental image, I will get a decant when I can.

  • A perplexing fragrance. There’s a hint of cleaning product or ammonia with very light florals and musk. The bottle is beautiful, but it’s one of those fragrances that doesn’t leave a good impression due to the scent.

  • Psicostasis

The opening is an assault on intimacy, as if you’d put on a mannequin’s perfume. It then dries down to something smelling of outdated cleaning product, with harsh citrus and a jasmine reminiscent of freshly cut grass. As it dries further, it improves, revealing milky notes. That rough yuzu-floral blend never softens, and the moss adds grit, evoking, as @svazquez7 says, ammonia or ammonia-based air fresheners. It makes me think of very narrow corridors in an early 20th-century hospital. It does have a touch of lion’s milk, but it becomes so scratchy that it slightly irritates me. It depends greatly on how long you keep your nose pressed against your wrist. Unlike a floor cleaner, this has considerable complexity. It also has decent projection, extending those mannequin arms that give uncomfortable caresses.

  • regis_wiggin

With this description I don’t want to give the impression that it’s a simple fragrance. It has more than enough complexity. But I want to describe it in a very simple way so the reader gets a clear idea. It is the mix of smelling up close, washed skin with a quality bar of old soap and lactonic notes. It may seem simple but I doubt this formula will leave anyone indifferent. In my case, it attracted me from the very first second. I understand the concept. I also understand why people who see it is inspired by Ghost In The Shell might not find this scent fitting. I imagine they should have expected something truly artificial, focused on more plastic, gummy and metallic notes in the style of Electric Dreams by Miguel Matos. But smelling this I think what is being reflected is the skin of that cyborg from GITS. A being with metal entrails that perfectly mimics a human with synthetic skin made of a material that doesn’t exist in our present. Perhaps a material that mimics the texture and flexibility of human skin but also tries to reproduce its smell. So that no one can distinguish, neither visually nor olfactorily, a cyborg from a human. But despite the advances it fails to faithfully reproduce our smell and ends up halfway between organic and synthetic with this disruptive milky cleanliness scent. You may like it as I do or not, but only for how peculiar and surprising it is I would recommend that, if you have the chance, you smell this.

  • It’s a strange perfume. As others have said, I imagined it would allude to the famous manga; in case it does, it doesn’t resemble what was expected. The opening is a very fleeting citrus aroma that gives way to a smell I associate with lactation and babies; milky and tender due to the white musk, while salty, oily and slightly bitter due to the ambroxan. Curiously, the musk and ambroxan notes are extremely synthetic, to the point of reminding me of the smell of a ‘new doll’. Once it settles, it loses projection and bitterness, becoming cleaner and lighter, with the musk gaining strength as the main accord. On my skin it lasts a couple of hours projecting, but I feel bursts even 8 hours later. I have mixed feelings; I’ve had it for a week and haven’t decided if I like it or not. I see it as feminine unisex for informal occasions, during the day and in mild weather. It seems like one of those perfumes that works better as evocative art. It smells like something plump that exudes life (but, where is the limit of the living?), so spotless it’s almost disgusting. The first time it upset my stomach, but I’ve started appreciating it more with use, seeing its nuances and understanding the name. I find it ingenious, but I would never wear it to go out; neighbours might think the cybernetic apocalypse has arrived. Pleasant: 6/10 Interesting: 10/10 Versatile: 6/10 Original: 10/10

But what fantasy is this? When I put it on I thought it smelled little but suddenly I noticed a pleasant smell, a clean one. It’s a special clean, not soapy but improved natural. It’s something strange to explain but very, very pleasant. It makes you feel good. I’m loving it.🌸

  • A very strange fragrance; in the opening it smells like laundry detergent, but then it musks and becomes more lactonic, giving a sensation of clean plastic skin (I’m not sure how to define it) Is that how cyborgs should smell in the future?

  • Oh my goodness, the opening is a citrus-soapy punch, it seemed ultra strong. I agree with almost all opinions, it’s an easy yet complex perfume at the same time. It is literally the smell of just getting out of the shower with a bar of soap, very creamy and extremely clean. When it settles, that mix of musk-aldehydic-lactonic-skin emerges. I couldn’t define it better, it’s strange, but pleasant and addictive. I thought it would be more ‘weak’ but on my skin I detect it quite strongly. On me, the clean notes are more noticeable than the lactonic ones, which disappointed me a little, but the pH can play tricks on you. It’s for personal enjoyment and the office, clean and pleasant. Longevity of about seven hours, projection about three/four. Not for blind buying.

  • Mmm..well, I can’t say much more than hasn’t already been said in all the reviews, all very accurate 👍 I was curious, it seemed original, and it disappointed me a little… although I had already read the profile 🤔 anyway, I imagined more, but yes, it also smells like old lactonic bar soap and moisturising milk to me..it’s for putting it on after a shower to enhance all showery scents xD to smell clean 🤷🏻♀️ total up close. I think with the decant I have…it’s enough of this for me xD

  • Daniela Fragance

This fragrance pleasantly surprised me, especially because I didn’t expect it to be so versatile. I initially bought it attracted by its name and story, rather than to wear it. Upon trying it, I discovered it’s the ‘safe’ perfume for any occasion. The opening evokes Protex soap, clean and fresh, as if just out of the shower. Shortly after, an acidic facet emerges like citrus gummies, followed by an aquatic aroma that transports me to a luxury hotel swimming pool. That impeccable freshness captures the essence of the aquatic note. I wondered how something as simple as water can have such a defined scent. Although there is a synthetic or metallic touch, I don’t interpret it as negative; it feels like a new and expensive product. This nuance fits the inspiration: a futuristic city with robots and flying cars. Some say it’s like AI becoming human, and I think that sums up its character. It’s unisex, ideal for the day and warm climates, where its freshness shines. I even imagine it perfect for training, bringing comfort and lightness. Deserved 10/10. It redefines what a futuristic and functional perfume can be.

  • The last thing this perfume is is ‘apocalyptic’ or ‘strange’. It’s the most normal thing in the world; it smells like classic Palmolive soap. Neutral, a chemical clean scent, just like the soap. It’s unisex like the soap itself. I wouldn’t pay more than two dollars for this; for that, I buy a Palmolive Milk for 50p and I’m done.

  • A glass of reheated milk in a plastic picnic cup. The taste of plastic when it has permeated the liquid a little more than desired. Lukewarm water in a festival glass. It’s a strange perfume, but not exaggerated. The cybernetic-infantile plastic note floods everything at the start, giving way to a sugary, milky sweetness, like frothy skimmed milk without excessive creaminess. I don’t know much about the manga, but I don’t think seeing futuristic suits makes anyone think of a milkshake. It’s a curious note and the base sweetness is pleasant, but personally not promising enough to buy the bottle. For some reason, I also get a very subtle smell of burnt rubber, not asphaltic but more like 90s computer cables heated together. It stabilises later into that more conventional and pleasant beaten sugar, leaning towards feminine. For now, nothing from this house conquers me enough. This Ghost in the Shell… I don’t know who it can dress. An enigma. Sparse projection, intense only up close. The dry down is pleasant, warm, and with that lactonic touch, much more bearable once the plastic note dies.

  • I tried it a few weeks ago out of curiosity. It smells nice, floral and clean, but not in a natural way. It reminded me so much of the shampoo conditioner my girlfriend uses xD. It’s not bad if that’s what you’re looking for. Average performance with good longevity. It’s more feminine than masculine, but I’d use it, at least fresh out of the shower 🙂

  • I like it! It smells clean, with a milky and mentholated touch that gives it character. It’s like having a shower and wanting that soapy scent to linger, but with more class. It is versatile, suitable for different ages and totally unisex, working in any season. The negative point is that it is somewhat weak and I have to bring my nose close to perceive it. I don’t find a connection with the name, but the reference is excellent and I like the presentation.

  • It is difficult for me to describe. If you like molecular aromas like second skin, clean but not soapy, take a look. It has a twist: the citrus note of the yuzu, the soft floral, and that milky character, not sweet or as evident as in others, which makes it special. I see it as 100% unisex and versatile. I would use it all year round, although it is not for drawing attention or going out at night. It is more for everyday wear. The projection is moderate but the lasting power exceeds 8 hours. In short, a fantastic fragrance that deserves to be known. Success lies in simplicity.

  • It smells good, very good. But the ‘second skin’ part is not exact. This smells like fabric softener. Very lemony and somewhat milky, quite aqueous and light. Citrus-floral sweet opening, settling into something more woody and soft. It is a creamy clean scent. Given the price, I’m not sure it justifies the cost.

  • The human body is a unique mixture of ingredients. My thoughts and memories are not mine; everything blends into a mixture that gives me life. I feel confined by the limits. I’ve seen the anime after buying the fragrance and I’m convinced that perfumery is one of the most beautiful arts. Ghost in the Shell asks what makes us human or machines. In a 2029 where AI operates bodies, one becomes conscious. This fragrance doesn’t smell of robot or apocalypse; it’s an ode to existence. It evolves from infant milk to the vinyl ‘skin’ of the cyborg, with a floral interval and a Yuzu that places the action in a dystopian Japan. It is manifestly unisex, like the end of the anime. I’m amazed at how well it’s done. ELDO are masters. I bought it at Notino with a discount for under €90 for 100ml, a fair price. I recommend watching the film and understanding the perfume.

  • ‘The human body is composed of countless ingredients…’ (Motoko Kusanagi). I confess I watched the anime after buying the fragrance and am now more convinced that perfumery is one of the most beautiful arts. Ghost in the Shell is an ode to existence, from baby milk to the vinyl ‘skin’ of the cyborg, with a yuzu that sets the scene in a dystopian Japan. It is manifestly unisex, like the end of the anime. I am blown away by how well it is made; ELDO are masters. I bought it on Notino with a discount for under £90 for 100ml, a fair price compared to more mediocre things. I recommend watching the film and understanding the perfume.

  • A BEAUTIFUL fragrance for lovers of second-skin scents, literally the definition of ‘your skin but better’. At the start it is fresh (yuzu) and as it settles it becomes delicate (milk). My only complaint is that it is very weak; after a few hours I have to bury my nose in my arm to find the scent.

  • A luminous and poetic interpretation of the artificial concept, with hints of metal and plastic barely suggested amongst the floral, milky, and musky notes. It is subtle, welcoming, slightly childish and feminine, perfect for the day. Easily recognisable and with a decent lasting power.

  • One of the most unique fragrances I have ever smelled; it smells of artificial cleanliness, as if you were smelling a fresh cream on a practice dummy. I know it sounds strange, but it smells exactly like that: plastic, skin, yuzu, and water. And yet, I consider it very wearable. The name fits it perfectly.

  • perfumehugefan

It is a very original, interesting, and addictive fragrance. At first, it smells more metallic and citrusy, but then it shifts to clean, damp skin, in a very artificial yet pleasant way. For me, it is a 10/10.

  • With my untrained sense of smell, what it reminds me of is my wife’s hair conditioner, giving it a feminine air. It is pleasant, but it still seems to me to be that simplicity of a conditioner. I think the best way to use it is in layering with another scent, although I’m not sure which one would work.

  • If you want to break away from the ordinary, this is a genuine find. The Ghost in the Shell is, without a doubt, one of the best ‘second skin’ scents I have tried. Ideal for days when you don’t want to smell like perfume, but rather superior cleanliness. What makes it special is its milky facet: a touch of creamy milk that blends with the skin, giving an almost human warmth. It doesn’t smell of sharp soap, but of a polished, ethereal creaminess. It’s like an aura of wellbeing, modern yet very natural. For me, it is among the best from ELDO. It doesn’t shout; it envelops you in a cloud of technological cleanliness and milky softness for hours. If you are looking for something minimalist that renews you, it is a must-have.
