  • Don’t be fooled by the notes; in my opinion, it’s a totally feminine perfume. It has a very marked opening smelling of makeup and lasts about 15 minutes, then the flowers come out mixed with sandalwood and it becomes a pleasant sweetness. The longevity is quite poor; I ended up gifting it to a girl. Don’t buy blind.

I don’t understand why Fragrantica lists it as ‘for men’, because although perfumes have no gender, this smells 100% like a woman’s scent. It’s an almost identical dupe to Black Opium, with that coffee and jasmine note super prominent. If you’re an empowered woman who loves sweet scents with that vibe, give it a try, you’ll surely love it.

I don’t understand why Fragrantica lists it as ‘for men’, although I believe perfume has no gender and if you like it, wear it. But be careful, it has notes that lean more towards the feminine, so I’d recommend it 100% for women. It’s literally an almost identical dupe to Black Opium; that coffee and jasmine note is very prominent. For empowered women who love sweet scents with that Black Opium vibe, try it, you’ll surely love it.

  • A exquisite scent, very easy to like, I recommend it blind. It has subtle coffee notes that give it a distinctive touch and mixed with the flowers, it works brilliantly. I find it totally unisex; I’m a man and I wear it and have already received female compliments. Use it without fear. It’s not beast mode, but the longevity is good.

  • As a woman, I confirm it has attractive notes for girls, like flowers, but projects an empowered woman without being overwhelming. I liked it 🙂

  • In my opinion, it’s for women, but men can wear it too; it has good projection and longevity for the price. I recommend buying blind!

  • Al Layl is my first impression of Al Wataniah, and now I take it very seriously. I started with exquisite raspberry, coffee, and clean lavender, but obviously, it’s for her, and I don’t want it ending up in my girlfriend’s perfume bottle like happened with Al Nashama. Then come the peach and flowers, jasmine and roses, drying down to a woody base with sweet patchouli. Olfactorily, it’s gorgeous, though the projection is more intimate, and that’s not a bad thing; the important thing is to choose according to what you’re looking for. I’d enjoy it hugging a woman with height. The longevity on skin is moderate/low and fades, but the scent is incredible, modern, and highly recommended for girls. Perhaps in another life it would be among my top choices.

  • Al Layl is my first impression of Al Wataniah, and now I take it more seriously. I started tempted by that exquisite raspberry with coffee and clean lavender, but it’s clearly a feminine fragrance; I don’t want its destination to be my girlfriend’s perfume bottle like happened with Al Nashama from Lattafa. Then come the peach and flowers, jasmine and roses, drying down a bit woody with the patchouli. Olfactorily, it’s beautiful, although the projection is personal and intimate, which isn’t bad. The important thing is to choose according to what you’re looking for; I would love to hug a woman wearing it with height. The longevity on skin is moderate/low and loses intensity, but I insist the scent is incredible, modern perfumery, and highly recommended for women. Perhaps in another life it would be among my top choices.
