  • Perfumepassion

This magic arrived last week. It opens very sweetly fruity; I perceive an acidic cherry… Then a dry, earthy, woody vanilla appears. It is a rare vanilla, unlike any other. It is velvet. The bottle is enveloping. Beautiful. I love it.

Durrat al Aroos EDP. I acquired it blindly a few weeks ago, very tempted to try Arabic perfumes. It is super special: woody, dry, fruity. At first spray it is sweet but not cloying, with fruity notes, but in performance the woody dry vanilla predominates. You could confuse it with a masculine scent. It is rare, refined, delicate. It is delicious but I haven’t received praise for it. It brings me pleasure to wear it and think about how they combined their notes. Its trail and longevity are moderate, but it stays on skin. You can feel it all day. It is wonderful. Unique.

I bought it blindly looking for one for everyday wear, subtle, for the office, so it couldn’t be strong. I like it, it doesn’t cloy. However, it doesn’t last for me as I would wish; I wore it this morning and by noon I barely felt anything. I have bought other Arabic scents at a similar price that last longer. For its price, it is not bad, but for my purpose it is not functional; I will use it more for short outings to the park, things of short duration that require a lovely scent.

  • It is a very special perfume. It does not project like a beast, but rather creates an aura around you; you simply smell feminine and delicious. It bears quite a resemblance to the Orientica Royal Amber or the Ana Abiyedh White, but the Durrat al Aroos is more avoivandylised, sweeter. Your bottle is an ode to coquetry. It cannot be missing from your Arabic collection.

  • My first Arabic perfume and I don’t regret it for a second. It’s exquisite, perfect for autumn or winter given its potency, leaves a stunning trail, and 90% of people have complimented it. On skin it lasts 6-7 hours with everything on, and on clothes it lingers for days. It smells like a refined woman, sweet without being cloying, and very elegant. It’s a bit unusual, but it’s now on my list of favourites.

  • My first Arabic perfume I felt brave enough to buy, and I have no regrets. It is exquisite, ideal for autumn/winter due to its intensity, leaves a spectacular trail, and has been praised 90% of the times I’ve worn it. On skin, it lasts about 6-7 hours with full strength and lingers on clothes for days. It smells like a refined woman, sweet but not cloying, very elegant. It is a rare perfume, but it has entered my favourites.

  • A colleague smelled it and asked if I was wearing the Bharara King, another extremely similar dupe.

  • The Durrat al Aroos could be a distant dupe of the Erba Pura; some say the Bharara King, but I argue they belong to a similar fruity family, each with its own distinctive touch. It is excellent in longevity and projection, truly exquisite.

  • Durrat Al Aroos could be a distant dupe of Erba Pura, some say Bharara King, but I believe they belong to a similar fruity family, each with its own touch. It’s excellent in longevity and projection, truly rich.

  • emosmellscandylike

It has a nod to the dry-down of Erba Pura, perhaps a bit more herbal, which I like. Unfortunately, it doesn’t last on the skin at all, barely minutes. It doesn’t project either, staying stuck to the skin for that short while. By my standards, it could well be unisex.

It has a nod to the drydown of Erba Pura, slightly more herbal, which I like. Unfortunately, it lasts nothing on skin, only minutes. It doesn’t project either, staying close to the skin for that brief moment. By my standards, it could be a well-balanced unisex scent.

  • Belenperfumada

I was hooked at first sniff in the perfumery and made the mistake of giving in. Upon opening it, a great disappointment: it doesn’t even last two hours on skin. I’m not looking for ten hours, but I would have been content with four, and this doesn’t even reach that. Perhaps it just doesn’t suit me. I won’t be buying it again; it smells very much like the Bharara King, which I purchased to replace the Durrat al Aroos.

  • It smells delicious, but the appeal fades once everyone is saturated with the Amber Oud Gold Edition.
