  Excellent value for money. A freshness that holds throughout the entire development (it’s more linear). The bergamot blends with the neroli, which has its typical slightly powdery and musky character. There’s also a pleasantly sweet counterpoint. Despite being fresh, it doesn’t have poor performance.

  It kicks off strong with citrus, particularly bergamot and bitter orange that smells more of peel than fruit. Then comes a soapy neroli that blends with the citrus; the orange fades while the bergamot rises. From there it’s linear, with only the bergamot and neroli noticeable, and the downside is that it clings heavily to the skin. It starts potent but fades quickly, though it lasts quite a while. It smells unisex and suits mild or hot climates. Why not cold weather? Overall it’s good, smells natural and is cheap, but I wouldn’t buy it as it’s not my style. It’s simple and does the job, you can’t ask for more.

  Watch out, don’t be impulsive. It starts rich, citrusy and elegant, but if you don’t wait for it to settle and buy it on the spot, brace yourself for a change: it turns rancid, like old-fashioned bath soap. It’s the neroli, which I hate, and here it is in its prime.
