I do not like it; I find its aroma too strong. Furthermore, it lasts a long time on my skin; it only goes away with a shower.
A fairly linear fragrance; it never changes. Citrus and spicy. It will overwhelm many people, but not the majority. It does not go unnoticed but it does not make you stand out. All in all, it is not bad at all (in fact, it is quite good for the price; I just bought a 100ml bottle for around 15USD). I would buy it again only as a gift out of obligation (a swap or something like that), since it does not make you look bad and is affordable, or for a teenager who is discovering their tastes. Something to note: although the bottle is fun, it spills relatively easily. Perhaps it is just my case, but you need to be careful if you carry it in a backpack or briefcase (like I do for work). I recommend it in general.
The truth is that my nose picked it up as very masculine and it fixed itself strongly on my skin. I would not buy it again.
To be honest, it is a very rich fragrance, although it is not the one that drowns everyone at the party. It is super fresh and intense, citrus with a slight floral touch at the start and gradually develops something sweet without losing those lavender notes, some geranium and cardamom. Cold is good and, for its price, it is better. I made it for hot, informal days; it is very youthful, more boyish than feminine. It has another point in its favour: it lasts quite a while and has a good trail. I recommend it, although not for elegant events, but for moderate compliments with good projection.
I have to say that the longevity is very good. It was still noticeable on my clothes from close range 24 hours later.
Just arrived. Citrus and spicy opening, very well blended. Smells fresh and noticeable but without being the centre of attention. I see it for people aged 18 to 30. Informal, for afternoon/evening wear. Excellent value for money.
I do not understand the negative comments about this perfume. It has good longevity, a good price, and smells nice. It is for men, but a woman can wear it too. I do not compare it to anything because it does not resemble any other scent.
I used it when it first launched, nearly 20 years ago, and back then it was a real cracker; I liked it and it lasted more than half a day, taking it to work. I bought it again recently and I do not know if it has been reformulated or what happened, but it is not the same as before…
Now that I have smelled it properly, I have a clearer view: it is extremely pleasant, fresh, and sweet. The musk, bergamot, and coriander stand out, closing with an aquatic and floral touch. Longevity is moderate, but if you apply more, it performs perfectly (up to 8 hours). The trail is very good and the price is excellent. It can be worn in any weather.
Here to say this fragrance is memorable, unique, and sublime. There is no rival; not even CK One comes close. Cold has body and character, whereas he does not. For a ridiculous price, the performance is fantastic. I believe it is basically masculine. Longevity and projection are top-notch; on me it lasts about 8 hours and fills the room. It is timeless because it is a unique scent. Rating: 10/10
I tried it looking for something fresh like Let’s Move, and it smells like the mid-90s: very fresh and versatile for daytime. Aquatic and citronella notes, nothing to impress, but designed to please; I’ve never received negative comments. It’s perfect for daytime battles. Ideal age: 15 to 30 years. What I notice most is bergamot, coriander, soft lavender, and musk. The trail is impressive for the first hour, then dries down to a floral and oceanic scent. Short longevity on my skin: about 4 to 6 hours.
Curious to try this Benetton Cold, I got a 10ml sample. They say it’s a CK One with more impact, but I was wrong. It smells like Puig’s Quorum, just toned down. It doesn’t hit like Quorum’s punch. If Quorum is a 100, this Cold is a 35. It’s fresher and lighter, but olfactively they’re about 85% similar (strange, as they only share bergamot, caraway, and patchouli). Pleasant, but it doesn’t last long: after two hours it’s skin scent, and by three and a half it’s almost gone.
Classic yet timeless treasures. I picked it up cheap without even looking for it; it always caught my eye because it’s collectible. My friends used it in the 90s and 2000s. I love it; it brings me to life. It’s citrusy, aromatic, ozonic, floral, with a soapy lavender touch: rich and clean. Although it uses classic chords, the blend is novel and very balanced. I love the opening, but I’m obsessed with it after two hours: the citrus adds a spark to the flowers, all driven by vetiver-patchouli and musk which gives it a sexy yet clean edge. Brilliant for the price. It shouldn’t be missing from any collection.
Fresh and pleasant, it doesn’t bother anyone. If it lasted longer, it would be a 10. It doesn’t smell like CK One as people say; it’s softer than Cold, wearable and smells good, though without any surprises.
I love it! Flawless quality and price.
A rich, noble, economical fragrance with a fun bottle. I agree that it is not CK One; Cold smells more masculine, has its own path, and is fresher. Literally, upon application, it envelops you in a cloud of freshness, soapy water, and cleanliness. I waited years to buy it again; it sold well since the 2000s and, frankly, it still captivates me, even though it is noticeable that it is old school, which I love. It continues to last and project for six hours. When I go cycling or run in the afternoons, after work, the fragrance perks up as if to say: ‘I have more to give’. The cost-benefit ratio is excellent; in Mexico you can get it for under 200 pesos, very affordable even for collecting. I love it and will keep it until, hopefully, they do not stop producing it.
It smells fresh, as if just out of the shower, and is totally synthetic. The opening did not appeal to me, but it becomes more pleasant once dried. The performance is poor: you need about 20 sprays for others to notice it. I see it well for being at home, running, or going to the gym. Nothing outstanding, which justifies the eight dollars it cost me here in Mexico. If you do not know it, you miss out. PERSONAL OPINION AND EXPERIENCE.
I do not like that lavender note; it reminds me of bathroom cleaner. The fragrance smells vintage, which it is, but others disguise it better. To its credit, it lasts longer than one might expect.
It does not smell like CK One; it has plenty of musk that makes it feel soapy, fresh, and slightly sweet. It is not overpowering, ideal for outdoor mornings. In my case, it wore me out: I bought it online and 30% spilled, soaking the box and filling the room. It is potent to the point of becoming tiring, but for the price, it is an excellent option. On my nose, it does not smell old-fashioned; it is far from the sugary fragrances currently in vogue.
A citrusy, fresh scent that suits the skin perfectly, fitting the unisex era. In my respectful opinion, it is not CK One; it has more sillage and longevity, and smells more masculine, although many girls adore it. Benetton Cold works all year round: a pleasant blend of citrus, aldehydes, and lavender. The sillage is moderate, non-invasive, and very comfortable in the heat. Sometimes people in public ask for the name to buy it. I think some focus more on the brand than the scent, which is a matter of taste. It is super versatile, suits any skin and age, doesn’t stain clothes, and is a fresh lotion that lasts just enough: a morning or afternoon. Light, aromatic, and perfect for any style.
Benetton Cold for Him, I just acquired it almost blindly. The price and description caught my eye as an alternative to Blue Men Colors from the same house. Upon smelling the box, I was surprised by the aroma emanating from it; long and well-packed, austere without luxuries. After applying two or three sprays, with the cap evoking a cold water tap, it immediately transports me to the aromas of Armani by Giorgio Armani from the 90s. Those who know it will understand the olfactory experience. It seems they acquired the licence or formula for this variant. I’m in the midst of a hot summer with days reaching 30 to 40 degrees in the US-Mexico border area. I will describe my daytime and nighttime experience, ending the summer.
I’ll just say it’s a perfume that will accompany me for the rest of my life. It’s the scent of my youth, citrus, fresh, and floral. It has a fantastic longevity. If you apply more than 7 sprays at once, your life is in danger. It’s super strong at the start; I think many won’t like it, but definitely it has a beautiful dry-down. If you’re between 25 and 35, this is the perfume you could have used to win your girl’s heart (in my case, that’s exactly what happened). Honestly, I don’t feel it’s that unisex; I understand it’s because of the floral sensation, but I don’t see it on a woman. But what can I say? I don’t think anyone will regret having it.
Who said quality is measured by price? If designer scents are the best sellers, with luck and patience, you can find something interesting among the cheap ones. Benetton Cold is a new vintage classic with a complex profile that doesn’t remind me of anything. It smells like the 90s; it’s not simple, with acidic bergamot and green mandarins that prelude perceptible aldehydes that make the hairs on the nose stand up for the less experienced. It’s useless to escape; it doesn’t disappear quickly, remaining quite perceptible for hours. What’s surprising is the sillage and persistence (in this 2000 version) which are very high. Also the balance: when it embraces the floral side, it softens without falling into a unisex tone. Pleasant are the vetiver and patchouli notes that intertwine with a musk, offering an elegant base with masculine nuances. A little-known perfume, perfect for recalling atmospheres for those without fear or prejudice, despite the low price and accessible to anyone.
There’s a practice among watch collectors to buy one from the year of their birth; I wanted to do the same with perfume, so Benetton Cold came home. I expected something boring and flat, like CK One as people say, but they don’t share many similarities. Cold starts strong, filling a room in the first few minutes. Then it calms down and reveals a citrus scent, spicy due to the aldehydes, green/woody with oakmoss and ozonic notes. I love aldehydes and enjoy its opening. But if you don’t like them, after a few minutes they fade and another set takes the lead. After some time, goodbye spicy projection and hello soapy, floral heart. Lavender gains strength with musk and vetiver, giving a clean, woody, and damp aura that blends well with the lingering citrus notes. It always maintains a retro skeleton of aldehydes, bergamot, and lavender/musk. The longevity is strange: sometimes 4-5 hours, other times almost 8. Projection is about 2 hours, and the trail is potent for half an hour, then moderate. It’s versatile for the weather, ideal for everyone except very cold days. Totally daytime. In terms of occasion, it reduces to casual and work; it’s not excessively formal, elegant, romantic, or seductive. Unisex? Yes, slightly more masculine but nothing outrageous. Many women wear it, just as many men will wear Benetton Hot. If you want more content, check out my YouTube channel: Perfúmate Con JL.
Benetton Cold is an old fragrance; my father used to wear it and I loved it, so I promised to buy it and managed to get it. Unfortunately, it didn’t work for me as it did for my dad; perhaps due to the batch, reformulation, or my pH. It projects very little: about 30 minutes of good projection, then it becomes personal. It’s a rich scent, very lavender and citrusy. On the plus side, the presentation is pretty and fun, ideal for showing off a collection. With 5 or 6 sprays, I get the projection and trail. Trail: 8/10, Projection: 7/10, Price: 9/10. I got it for 350 plus shipping, though you can catch it for as little as 200 Mexican pesos. Longevity 7/10. Age: I see it as unisex, but it smells like someone over 30 to me; believe me, this is nothing youthful.
I bought it three years ago because I was given One Sumer Blue and wanted to try all the Benetton scents. Honestly, it didn’t feel suitable for young people; rather, it’s for people over 30. I applied two sprays and flooded the room; I never received compliments; people found it embarrassing and intolerable. I felt the same way until I gave it to my older brother, who loved it and asked me to buy it again. The longevity was about 8 hours; I wanted it to go, but it stayed strong. I feel it’s like CK One, youthful and fresh, but honestly, I don’t detect anything fresh or youthful in it; perhaps because my definition of youthful is citrus, aquatic, and a bit floral.
At first, it seemed vintage, but over time I’ve come to really like it. It has that cologne touch, fresh and clean. In my collection, I have Acqua Essenziale Colonia by Salvatore Ferragamo, and they are similar; they don’t smell exactly the same but follow the same line. Both are very pleasant, although Cold can be found at half the price of Ferragamo. It projects and lasts well for a fresh scent. People say it’s similar to CK One, but in my experience they are different, though from the same family. I recommend buying it blind; you’ll hardly dislike it, and for the price, it’s worth having and using from time to time.
Presumably the first batch was exquisite in longevity and projection, but my batch is from 2009 and the longevity is super low.
It opens alcoholic and citrusy but doesn’t last long; then it turns green, floral, and perhaps mentholated. It’s intense, though it becomes more restrained as it dries down. It’s not sweet; it has a pleasant bitterness. It’s a fresh masculine scent (not purely citrus), going beyond the innocent image of the bottle. In keeping with its era, it’s not a trendy little sweetie. It’s versatile for sunny, informal days. It delivers for its ridiculous price (100 ml), made in Italy. The sprays don’t sting, and the bottle doesn’t hurt the wallet. Price-to-quality ratio is okay.
Bought it in 2023 without a second thought, given the price and the reviews. It brings back memories of my teenage years; perhaps a mate used to wear it. It’s simple compared to modern fragrances, yet very pleasant and versatile. At first, it smells of alcohol, but within 15 minutes it transforms into something floral and citrusy with those famous aldehydes. The bottle is practical for carrying it around without much thought about the context, though not for super-formal events. It’s best enjoyed up close, within your personal bubble. Extra points for the economical price; you’re unlikely to regret it unless you’re too demanding about the notes.
It is a fresh and pleasant scent, though a little cloying. It has a synthetic touch, but an acceptable one. It is somewhat unisex, though it leans more towards the feminine. With it, you can smell good for very little money.
Soft, weak, and I cannot smell it even after applying fifteen sprays. I do not know how to describe it. It is a strange and complex perfume! In Venezuela, it costs twelve dollars.
It does not resemble CK ONE. I am writing this on 01/09/23: if it has an air of Issey Miyake when it dries down, then yes, it does.
It gives the exact impression of an aftershave straight after leaving your usual barbershop. There is nothing more to add to this review.
It is a fragrance designed for young people: simple, fresh, and ultra-cheap. The performance is average; it projects little and leaves no trail, but on my skin it lasts about five or six hours. The scent is complex at first; I genuinely struggled to get used to that very synthetic aldehyde. However, once it dries down, it is pleasant—a fresh citrus classic from the same school as Aqua di Giò. Nothing spectacular or special, but perfect for the daily routine of someone who just wants to smell fresh.
It has excellent projection and it’s my girlfriend’s favourite. It’s the most versatile and addictive fragrance I own; I recommend it 100%.
This was my first blind buy based on reviews and because it was the cheapest in the Benetton line, and it was a total mistake. It smells outdated, reminding me of hairdressers from my childhood in the 90s and cheap synthetics, and that scent clings to the skin until I shower. It even gave me a headache, something I’ve never experienced with a perfume. Please try it on your skin and feel its evolution before buying. I do not recommend it.
I picked it up cheap at around 258 pesos on Amazon, and the opening is very fresh and aldehydic. It lasts about 10 minutes before moving to the heart, which dominates: something fresh but more classic, as if you could detect cumin or thyme (probably due to caraway), acting as a bridge to the floral notes. In the end, I noticed something earthy and clean, but very skin-close. It projects for 1.5 to 2 hours at about 25 cm and lingers on the skin for around 8 hours. For its price, it’s very good.
It’s a citrus fragrance with plenty of character, ideal for hot and sunny days above 25 degrees. Although it has that old-school vibe, it suits young people under 30 well. Its performance is decent for the price; in heat, it can project for about six hours, though the first two are more noticeable. For what it costs, it’s worth it.
Benetton Cold is an affordable and practical choice if you’re looking for something super simple, fresh, and fleeting. It’s suitable for everyday wear or straight after a shower, but don’t expect nuances or longevity. Basically, it’s a quick burst of freshness with no real presence.
