  Although I’m not an expert, I’ve noticed that sometimes higher-quality raw materials mean the fragrance improves over months. For instance, the reformulated Naxos by XJ is excellent and gets better with time. That said, the quality of this Blu is astonishing, just like its sibling Ighra, another brutal fragrance. Both have flown under the radar in Spain, but the perceived quality and performance are fantastic, well above the average Arabian offering. They’re priced at a standard 28/50€ but smell comfortably like 200€ bottles. The performance is disappointing at first, especially with this Blu, but I’ve had it for three months and the story has changed; it has improved considerably and seems to keep getting better. As for the scent, it reflects its declared notes well: it’s not a sticky or invasive oud, it’s very balanced and slightly sweet. The olfactory journey enjoys every stage of the pyramid. I adore it just as much as Ighra.

The performance is disappointing at first, especially the Blu, but I’ve had it for three months and the story has changed: now it lasts a long time and seems to keep improving. The aroma delivers on its declared notes; it’s not a sticky or invasive oud, it’s very balanced with a sweet touch. The olfactory journey enjoys every stage of the pyramid. I love it as much as Ighra.

  An exquisite aroma. The oud makes you feel as though you’re stepping into a vast forest freshly soaked by rain. I like it more than Versace Dylan Blue.

  A beautiful take on the blue fragrances, yet with character, modern and elegant. Nothing like the youthful vibe of other line-ups such as Dylan Blue or Hawas; this opens with a notable oud without being overpowering. As it settles, fresh notes accompany a very present leather with strong projection. I think it shines more in temperate or cold climates, though it’s versatile enough for casual, daily, and office wear. It smells far more expensive than it is. I wouldn’t recommend it in extreme summer heat; it works better as a night fragrance and is sure to turn heads. It’s quite unique, and one must appreciate these interpretations in Arabian perfumery.

It opens with a notable but non-invasive oud. As it settles, fresh notes accompany a very present leather, leaving a strong trail. I think it shines more in temperate or cold climates, though it’s versatile enough for casual, daily, and office wear. It smells far more expensive than it is. I wouldn’t recommend it in extreme summer heat; it works better as a night fragrance that captures attention. It’s quite unique, and one must appreciate these interpretations in Arabian perfumery.
