  Citrine opens softly with sweetened myrrh, elemi and beeswax, accented by citrus and a good kick of pepper. However, that sweetness fades very quickly, leaving a smoky, spicy woody base. The downside is that the opening citrus and resinous notes evaporate, making the scent dull and almost linear until the end. Plus, the performance is poor: both longevity and projection are short. I can barely smell it unless I press my nose right up against my wrists. The notes aren’t synthetic or of bad quality, but in something so ethereal, it’s hard to tell. I see it more as a men’s fragrance, suitable for any weather because it’s inoffensive and barely noticeable. Personally, I didn’t like it; it doesn’t smell bad, but the little I can detect isn’t appealing. Given the price and poor performance, I’ll give it a pass.
