  It smells like Black Tourmaline but with more brightness and less darkness. Incense and spices dominate, followed by a green cedar wood note that sets it apart, avoiding that dry touch. The heart is a luminous blend of frankincense, myrrh, and woods without veering into the dark. The downside is that the evolution is non-existent; it moves from the opening to the heart and then stalls. Rock Crystal doesn’t surpass the heart phase because its longevity is very short and it disappears within hours. The performance is weak; it’s noticeable at first but fades quickly. I see it as masculine, though perhaps a woman would wear it better. It suits cold or mild climates. In my opinion, it’s a middle-of-the-road fragrance: it’s well-made but lacks that final ‘something’ to win me over. I liked it more than Black Tourmaline, but it doesn’t fully convince me; there are other incense fragrances with more nuance that satisfy me more. As with Black Tourmaline, if you enjoy incense, give it a try.
