  Very smoky and spicy opening, especially the strong, stinging black pepper. It then darkens, becoming woody and extremely dry; patchouli, oud, leather, and woods are to blame. If you look closely, you can detect a touch of oakmoss. At times it recalls other fragrances like Private Label or Dark Aoud, but without that overly medicinal edge (I’m not saying they’re identical). From there, it doesn’t evolve further for me. I detect no amber or musk, though they’re certainly listed. The performance is contradictory: it doesn’t project much but lasts quite a while at a low level. I see it as totally masculine and suited to cold weather. Personally, I didn’t like it; fragrances this dry don’t captivate me, and there are mid-stage moments that I genuinely dislike. It smells plasticky, nothing natural or pleasant. It has excellent reviews on forums and websites and is considered one of the best incense fragrances, but honestly, I didn’t like it; I can’t say anything else. Well, I suppose it’s mandatory testing for lovers of this style, as others might appreciate it more.

  Neither love nor hate. It starts incense-like, then black pepper embraces it before settling into a smokier profile; the oud adds wood, leather, and closes with patchouli-amber. It’s woody, spicy, and dry, offering nothing new or exciting. Performance is good for autumn/winter and evening wear. Lasts all day with moderate sillage.
