  • One could imagine it as a night garden: deep, dark, without transparencies. Its notes are accomplished and pretentious; it makes itself noticed, and that is its desire. It can be conquering, for lovers of strong perfumes. The Oud, Agar, and leather are perfectly combined in this creation.

  • I have bought and tried it; it is a nocturnal fragrance with great presence and packaging. The Oud or Agar stands out, well accompanied by woods and leather. The average longevity is good and it is not discreet. Although I prefer the garden of the other Essenza fragrance for being more romantic and varied, I think Oud can either appeal greatly or not at all, but I recommend it because it is a good perfume.

A key review on Intense Cologne Oud: it is perfectly wearable on summer nights. At first, due to its strength, it might seem winter-like, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that without overapplying, it stands out at night and now in summer. The best part is that it pleases and does not leave people indifferent, so I recommend it for special nights and relaxed leisure time.

  • One of the best Oud perfumes on the market right now. It is natural, of excellent quality, and the leather accompanies it masterfully. Other woods make it original and personal after a nice citrus opening. It is very personal, nocturnal, persists for hours, and creates an aura that communicates effortlessly. It suits all year round, but especially at night, surpassing the average male scent. Assertive, persistent, and dark, it offers a magical and natural world that draws people in.

Another night of being continually surprised by this special fragrance; once again it eclipsed others at dinner, and people always ask about it. The citrus in the opening is the most noted, but for me, the Oud or Agar leaves stand out more, of the highest quality alongside the leather. The rest of the notes accompany this perfume made for special occasions very well. Undoubtedly, a highly appreciated niche.

  • It begins with a super fresh citrus opening, reminiscent of the original cologne, but that is merely the prelude. What follows is the finest Oud essence I have ever tried: refined, of exceptional quality, with hints of coriander, then leather and musk. It lasts 6 or 7 hours, ideal for formal dinners with friends or family.

Another fragrance with the trendy wood, ‘oud’. It feels like ingredients of very good quality. The opening is slightly sweet and citrusy, but very quickly it moves to the heart phase where the oud shines on its own. The base is very pleasant with the musk and leather, but always with the oud note present. I think it is very well balanced, as despite the oud wood being very notable throughout its development, it doesn’t overshadow the other notes to become heavy. It’s not for any occasion; I believe for special occasions would be the appropriate time. More nocturnal than morning, and preferably for fresh or cold weather. No age range. Its longevity is above average and the sillage is moderate with few sprays, which will surely increase with more applications, but I don’t think they are necessary, as it would become intrusive. I don’t recommend buying it blindly, as it may not be to everyone’s taste, plus its cost is high.

Another fragrance with the trendy Oud. It feels like it is made with very high-quality ingredients. The opening is sweet and citrusy, but quickly moves to the heart where the Oud shines alone. The base is pleasant with musk and leather, always with the Oud present. It is very balanced; although the Oud is noticeable, it does not overpower the other notes and become heavy. It is not for every occasion; special moments are the right time. More nocturnal than morning, for fresh or cold weather. No age range. It lasts longer than average, the trail is moderate with few sprays (surely it rises with more, but I do not think more are necessary to avoid being intrusive). I do not recommend buying blindly, as it may not suit everyone and it is expensive.

  • This fragrance bears a certain resemblance to its sibling Intense Leather. At first, it has that tar note they mention, although the leather smells just like leather in real life (no plastics or rubber). I felt it this way at the start, very similar to Intense Leather, but without that unpleasant smell, which I think comes from the rose. If not for that and that tiny hint of leather from the other, it’s almost the same. It stayed this way with a low trail for the first six hours, which was good because frankly I didn’t think much of it; it’s not annoying, but it’s not worth others or even yourself noticing it. After six hours, it started to feel more pleasant and woody, like echoes of Guerlain’s Heritage. But just like with Paco Rabanne’s 1 Million, as it became more pleasant, its trail faded significantly, which was already low. The truth is it’s not worth it for the poor price-to-performance ratio. If they gave away unlabelled samples, no one would believe they’re worth more than $150; you’d think they were mad. I don’t recommend it; it doesn’t meet the criteria to be good. The scent goes from acceptable to almost imperceptible after six hours. I only felt it very weak at night. It’s not for anyone under 20. Suggested climate: moderate seasons, because in heat or cold it disappears due to the low trail. Try it, don’t buy blindly, or you’ll be disappointed. By the way, it has nothing to do with Intense.

  • In my opinion, it bears a certain resemblance to its sister Intense Leather. Initially, it has a certain touch or facet of tar, which I don’t know why they say, but the leather simply smells like leather (in real life, the raw material never has tar, plastic, rubber, etc. nuances). I felt it this way at the start, very similar to Intense Leather, but without that unpleasant tar touch, which I believe was generated by the rose note. If not for that tar-like smell and the slightest touch of leather from the other, it’s almost the same. It stayed this way with a low sillage for the first 6 hours, which was good because, frankly, this fragrance hasn’t seemed great to me. It wasn’t unpleasant, but for what it was initially, it’s not worth others or oneself detecting it. After the first 6 hours, it started to feel more pleasant and woody, a kind of reminiscence of Guerlain’s Heritage. Unfortunately, just as happened with the 1 Million Cologne by Paco Rabanne, once it became something more pleasant, its sillage decayed significantly, which was already low. The truth is it’s not worth it, with a very low or mediocre price-to-benefit ratio. If they gave out unlabelled samples, I’m sure people would be told the bottle is worth over $150 and they wouldn’t believe it, saying: “What? Are you mad?”. Personally, I don’t consider it good; it doesn’t meet the necessary points. The scent isn’t great; it becomes acceptable after 6 hours but in an almost imperceptible way, with too low a sillage. Although I must admit that if I applied it at 7 am, by night at 8 I could still smell it, but very, very faintly. Age range: subjective, but I think it wouldn’t suit those under 20. Climate: moderate seasons. In very hot or cold climates, it would be lost due to its low sillage. Personally, I don’t recommend it. What I do recommend is trying it and not buying it blindly, as they could end up with a great disappointment. By the way, it has nothing to do with Intense.

  • The Intense Oud Cologne is not a conventional Middle Eastern Oud, with wood, dirty touches, floral and balsamic notes. It is more of a soapy leather-oud, with that sense of cleanliness and tidiness found in many Italian fragrances. From my perspective, it fails to achieve the effect of a good Oud, which usually uses somewhat artificial synthetic chords. Combined with that soapy aspect in the Essenza, it doesn’t fit, losing much and failing to seek the naturalness of this wood, which offers rich, fascinating nuances. Even if synthetic, better fragrances can be offered at much lower prices. Apart from this, the fragrance isn’t bad; the balance is there and it’s good, with very good projection. But those soapy chords in such a synthetic oud, without really knowing what it is, don’t offer a good final result. Vital for rating a fragrance well. Rating: 4.

  • Intense Cologne Oud is not a classic Middle Eastern Oud with dirty, floral, and balsamic touches, but a soapy leather-Oud with an Italian sense of cleanliness. From my perspective, it does not achieve the effect of a good Oud, which usually uses synthetic and artificial accords that, combined with that soapy aspect à la Essenza, do not fit, losing the naturalness of this wood, which I find fascinating for its nuances. Although synthetically, better fragrances could be offered at a lower price. Apart from this, it is not bad, the balance is there and it is good, the projection too, but those soapy accords in a synthetic Oud that one is not quite sure what it is, do not offer a good final result, vital for a good rating. I agree 100% with the review by @Gelo999. It’s impossible to agree more with their perception. I believe there is no real Oud here, but rather a synthetic substitute like Norlimbanol. The result is a strange smell, a type of wood that doesn’t smell like wood, very soapy and quite linear, lacking the nuances and the rough, resinous character that Oud usually has. Let’s say it tries to use Oud (something similar) but in the clean, Mediterranean style of the brand. In my taste, with little success. This sensation reminds me of the full line like Leather or Ambra. Good longevity with moderate sillage.

  • From my point of view, it’s nothing special. It’s a fresh take on woods, leather and oud. It smells nice, yes, but I wouldn’t pay the price for a full bottle.

  • From my point of view, it is nothing special. It’s like a fresh version of woods, leather, and oud. Does it smell good? Yes. Would I pay what they ask for a full bottle? No.

  • With the Intense Oud Cologne by AdP, the final result hasn’t convinced me. It doesn’t smell bad, but it doesn’t call to me at all. I barely notice the citrus at the start. It smells more woody, highlighting the oud wood, although later it becomes very timid, contributing only nuances without being the protagonist. In the heart phase, it resembles its sister Ambra, without that salty touch. It’s like an aquatic blend of rose (not listed), patchouli, woods, and musk. The scent is totally linear from the heart to the dry down. Good performance, projects well, and lasts quite a while. In my opinion, it opens up more masculine and ends up being more feminine, but it could pass as unisex. It hasn’t said anything special to me. It feels a bit synthetic, especially at the start. The Ingredients series has disappointed me quite a bit so far, pending Leather.

  • I tried the Intense Oud and the final result didn’t appeal to me. It doesn’t smell bad, but it doesn’t grab my attention at all. I barely notice the citrus at the start; what I feel most is the oud wood, which then becomes very timid and only adds nuances without being the star. In the dry-down it smells very much like its sibling Ambra, just less salty. It’s an aquatic blend of rose (not listed), patchouli, woods and musk. The scent is linear from the dry-down to the end. It projects well and lasts quite a while. In my opinion, it opens up more masculine but ends up being more feminine, though it works for unisex. It hasn’t convinced me; although it’s not bad, it doesn’t say anything special. There’s something synthetic about the opening. The Ingredients series has disappointed me quite a bit so far, pending Leather.

Acqua di Parma is known for Mediterranean proposals: away from complexity and density, fresh and simple. Intense Cologne Oud deviates somewhat from that current, but it is a clearly Westernised Oud, diaphanous. That attribute and the Oud usually do not gel due to its dark facets, but here we perceive an Oud with citrus that leads us to a clearer atmosphere. It is interesting. As an unconditional fan of oriental scents, I prefer darker Ouds, but I recognise it is elegant, noble (the raw materials are of high quality), and masculine. I like it, I do not love it, but at least I like it. Suitable for all seasons as it is not excessively heavy in trail. Longevity is excellent. However, it is not for daily wear, neither for the scent nor for the price.

The Intense Oud Cologne steps a bit away from that trend, but it is clearly a westernised oud, very diaphanous. That attribute and oud usually don’t gel, as the dark facets of this note are famous. But here, with citrus, it takes us to a clearer atmosphere. It’s an interesting fragrance, but as a devotee of the oriental, I prefer darker ouds. I acknowledge it is elegant, noble, and made of high-quality raw materials. Masculine. I like it, though I don’t love it. Suitable for all seasons as it’s not excessively heavy. Longevity is excellent. Not for daily wear, neither by scent nor by price.

This fragrance brings back memories of my youth, the ranch, carrying wood down the mountain on a horse. That smell of semi-dry, resinous timber poles, mixed with mosses and lichens, blended with the leather of the saddle and the animal’s sweat. That’s why it’s one of my favourites.

I tried the Oud cologne by ADP for a while and eventually took the bottle. My dilemma was between Sandalwood and this one. It is one of the most incredible perfumes I’ve ever tried. Hyper-fresh, realistic citrus with a deep, warm touch of leather. It’s mysterious, sensual, and classy; it smells like a magnate. High-quality aromas. It lacks the rose found in most ouds. I’ve tried many on the market, and this is quite different. I believe it can be worn in all four seasons, day and night. A gem that an oud lover simply cannot be without.

  • I tested the cologne first before buying the bottle. I was torn between Sandalwood and this one, and I’m glad I chose correctly. It’s incredible: super fresh, realistic citrus notes with a warm leather base. Mysterious, sensual and classy; it smells like a magnate. Top quality and without that typical rose found in ouds. It’s different from most and I wear it all year round, day and night. A gem that every oud lover needs.

  • Another gem from AdP. Here, the ‘oud’ doesn’t smell like real wood; instead, a note that simulates it is super-penetrating, woody, yet fresh. It adds an extra punch of power and freshness to the cologne, fitting perfectly with the citrus notes. Furthermore, it’s the key to boosting longevity and performance to the next level.
