Super fresh spring/summer cologne. The orange smells very natural, slightly bitter and acidic at first, but the caramel softens it, turning it into a sweet orange scent. Although it’s unisex, I find it leans more feminine. The downside? Longevity; on my skin it lasts barely four hours with poor projection. It’s not bad, but in the Blu Mediterraneo line there are better options like Fico Di Amalfi or Bergamotto Di Calabria, unless you absolutely love this citrus note.
Very fresh cologne for spring/summer. The orange scent is very natural; at first it feels a bit bitter and acidic, but the caramel eventually softens it, turning it into a sweet orange fragrance. Although it’s unisex, I see it as more of a feminine scent than a masculine one. The catch? Longevity; on my skin it lasts a scant four hours with not much projection. It’s not a bad fragrance, but in my opinion, there are better options in the Blu Mediterraneo line (Fico Di Amalfi, Bergamotto Di Calabria, etc.), unless you are passionate about this particular citrus.
It smells of pure freshness. The opening notes are citrus with sweet touches that embrace the petit grain, the leading note of Blu Mediterraneo. After 10 minutes, the musk is already noticeable with puffs of cardamom. Wow, it is a complete experience: much more than a fresh essence, it is complex and opulent. It smells fine, the quality is undeniable, and it is totally unisex. I would love for it to last longer.
Smells fresh, with very citrusy opening notes with sweet touches, but soon these citrus notes embrace the petit grain, my favourite in Blu Mediterraneo. After ten minutes, the musk appears with hints of cardamom. Wow, it’s an experience; much more than a fresh essence, it’s complex and opulent, smelling fine. Undoubted quality, totally unisex, I’d love for it to last longer on me.
I do not know if it is a citrus-floral or floral-citrus, but the orange and petit grain have a constant pulse that I love. It is very sincere; the listed notes are the ones felt, but worked with delicacy, giving a luminous and fine result. It seems there is a touch of caramel, but the acidity of the citrus sweetens it without making me feel the disgust of bergamot or lemon. Excellent cologne from the Blu Mediterraneo line, but like its sisters, it has scarce performance. It does not project much nor last long, although it stays close to the skin. If you want powerful orange, go to Atelier Cologne; if you seek Mediterranean subtlety, Arancia is your cologne.
Refreshing, delicate, and harmonious, ideal for hot days. The projection is soft and the longevity is not long, probably designed for personal enjoyment, as it smells wonderful. It begins with a complex orange that later becomes juicier and sunnier. Although I prefer perfumes with more sillage, Arancia di Capri is a lovely fragrance that will make anyone seeking something intimate and relaxing happy.
Orange and mandarin together, a creamy and magical blend. It is pure fruit, without woods or spices, a soft scent that accompanies you without suffocating. To me, it is sweeter than citrusy. For me, it is a ten.
Orange and tangerine together, supernatural and creamy. Fruity, don’t look for woods, leathers, or spices; it’s what it is: a soft scent that accompanies you without overwhelming. Sweeter than citrus. For me, a ten out of ten!
Freshly squeezed orange burst, extremely natural. Fifteen minutes of fruity citrus delight. After half an hour, the light sweet touch of caramel makes it less fresh and more feminine. After the first hour, it hardly projects, leaving a subtle trail, only perceptible at arm’s length. Two hours: sweet orange scent stuck to the skin. Three hours: goodbye Arancia di Capri. Very pleasant fragrance at the start, natural and fresh, but with an excessively poor performance. I understand that citrus doesn’t last long, but at this price, it’s a rip-off.
It starts as a freshly squeezed orange, super natural. The first 15 minutes are pure citrus delight, but at 30 minutes the sweet caramel touch makes it more feminine and less fresh. After an hour, it projects almost nothing, smelling only a few centimetres from the skin. At two hours, it is a sweet scent stuck to the body that no one notices. By three hours, goodbye Arancia di Capri. It is pretty and natural, but the performance is ridiculous for this price.
I had the luck of extensively trying an old bottle of ARANCIA DI CAPRI ACQUE PROFUMATE, so my review does not necessarily reflect the current versions, especially regarding performance. The scent is very realistic in the first hour: an acidic, exultant freshly squeezed orange juice, with that Mediterranean air of sea, sun, and breeze. It is hard for anyone to dislike this type of scent, even if they do not like citrus. It has a summery joy, a holiday vibe, and memories of childhood laughter, games on the beach, and walks through olive groves. The opening mixes all the citrus intensely (orange, mandarin, bergamot, petit grain, and lemon), highlighting the sour and ornamental orange more than breakfast juice. It is more durable than expected; gradually it loses that natural aspect to drift towards a more synthetic but quality accord. Sweet distillations appear that evoke more grape must than the caramel listed on the card, creating a citrus-and-sweet oscillation that vibrates in the air. This part is quite natural, without a laboratory smell. After an hour and a half, it transforms into a more synthetic but pleasant accord, with a totality more chypre, reminiscent of Myrurgia fragrances from the seventies, lost forever. This resinous and deep accord arises from cardamom, labdanum, white musk, and more bitter citrus like grapefruit and yuzu. The evolution denotes quality and structure. I am speaking of an old version, but I do not know the current one. The longevity is above average with moderate but perceptible sillage. There was a time when Acqua di Parma made long-lasting perfumes. It starts as unisex for all ages, but evolves into a feminine chypre, more suitable for late afternoon and evening. What begins as a child’s Alice resting on the shore ends as a Cate Blanchett strolling through the streets of Mongibello, indifferent to the adventures of Mr. Ripley.
For lovers of freshly squeezed orange aroma, with a very subtle sweet touch. On my skin it sweetens up (probably due to the caramel) and has poor performance and low sillage. It’s made for those seeking fresh and slightly sweet fragrances, away from aquatic scents. It’s more gourmand, wearable during the day and great for informal or sporty styles. Not for night, as it lacks the seductive touch of spiced perfumes. It’s unisex, slightly more feminine, suitable for all ages. Ideal for those who adore sweet citrus. As for me, who prefer heavy oriental scents, I don’t see it for myself, but it’s perfect for someone wanting something refreshing and invigorating. Very exclusive. The price is problematic; it’s expensive for what it offers, although the essence quality is good, typical of this Italian house that cares for the product down to the millimetre.
For lovers of freshly squeezed oranges (as @josesan says), with a very subtle sweet touch. On my skin it sweetens up (probably due to the caramel) and has a weak performance with little sillage. It is made for those seeking fresh and slightly sweet fragrances, moving away from aquatic and marine trends. It is more gourmand (personal opinion), wearable during the day and great for informal or sporty styles. It is an all-rounder except for the evening, as it lacks that seductive nuance of the current spiced and vanilla perfumes. It is unisex, with a slight feminine bias and suitable for all ages. Ideal for those who adore sweet citrus; I, who prefer heavy oriental scents, do not see it as my own, but it would be perfect for someone wanting something refreshing and invigorating. It is very exclusive. The price is an issue: it is expensive for what it offers, although the quality of the essences is good. As with all perfumes from this Italian house, they care about quality down to the millimetre.
Sour and utterly delicious. At first, it smells like a jar of fine gourmet jam. It is fresh, rich, refreshing, and very fruity, highlighting the woody side of the orange. The freshness persists for hours, giving a very summery, familiar scent, slightly acidic but pleasant and cosy, like drinking a freshly squeezed orange juice.
Definitely an exclusive summer cologne, super refreshing, with a very natural orange that is the star. The cardamom is imperceptible to me. The performance is rather poor (unfortunately). In the Blu Mediterraneo collection there are better options, without this meaning that Acqua di Parma is bad; in fact, it is my reference brand and all its fragrances are excellent. Scent: 7. Longevity: 4. Projection and Sillage: 5.5. Versatility: 5.5
Arancia di Capri is my absolute favourite from the Blu Mediterraneo line and one of the best orange scents I have ever tried. It captivates and relaxes, with a touch that is almost gourmand. It smells directly of peel, juice, and a hint of the green leaves, balanced perfectly by caramel and musk. Ideal for hot weather, it is sweet yet not heavy. I use it constantly; in temperate climates it shines with its naturalness, always keeping that orange-caramel combination. Compliments don’t bother me, but it always receives good feedback, so it is hard for anyone not to like it. I see it as unisex, although its sweetness might make it seem more feminine. The performance is decent (with a little more, it lasts about six hours) and it is perfect for relaxed or semi-formal moments in spring and summer. I would always recommend it for the summer. Rating: 9/10
It smells of pure orange!! bright, energising. Special for extreme heat and feeling fresh.
As someone not very fond of purely citrus scents, I must say Arancia di Capri is enchanting at first contact. The opening has a touch of fresh orange juice straight from the press, very sweet; you can even perceive its fresh peel, and you feel that lemon giving it a sparkling note, reminding you of pure summer. As it dries, it takes on a pleasant sweetness that keeps that orange with a herbal and green essence, revealing a well-blended and light caramel. On my skin, it developed a scent of orange tea combined with chamomile. The trail is medium, though noticeable only at arm’s length; I have a better experience with Mandorlo di Sicilia regarding trail and projection. Longevity was 4-5 hours, on the lower side. Excellent for extremely hot and dry climates, for going to the beach or spending time in the sun.
This is my favourite from the entire line, even more so than Fico di Amalfi. Longevity is almost anecdotal, as with all the Blu Mediterraneo scents, but it’s very pleasant and rich if you like citrus. The price ruins everything. Álvarez Gómez has a fragrance called ‘Agua Fresca de Flores Bergamota’ that smells literally the same and lasts an hour or two longer; it costs €9 for 150ml. I’m leaving this in case someone saves money.
I find it curious that people say it doesn’t last. On me, it lasted my entire day from 6am to 5pm. Although it’s citrusy, I detected a different base note on my skin, something akin to bushes. It has a curious behaviour throughout the day; depending on whether it’s fresh or hot, you perceive certain notes more than others, traversing the whole fruit cocktail. The sweetness is acceptable. I’ve quite enjoyed it for summer.
It didn’t last long at all in summer; it’s a totally unisex citrus scent. Would I buy it again? No.
A gorgeous fragrance based on orange. A starring orange with hints of petit grain, musk, and sweet nuances from the caramel. It’s like spraying freshly squeezed juice. Refreshing to the max and lasts about four hours on my skin. Ideal for summer and heat.
Absolutely gorgeous fragrance based on orange. An orange that is truly the star, with subtle touches of petit grain, musk, and sweet nuances, probably from the caramel. It’s like spraying yourself with freshly squeezed, natural orange juice. Refreshing to the max and lasting about four hours on my skin. Ideal for summer and heat.
Very expensive for what it is; it smells like a cheap catalogue perfume.
Luckily I bought a decant. Something similar happened with Erba Pura: it’s rich on the skin, but the trail is too sweet and unpleasant, smelling like those typical women’s shampoos where you feel like you’ve just stepped out of the bath onto the street. On my skin, the opening is fleeting and quickly fades into that feminine, sweet, musky base. I’m looking for a realistic citrus cologne and made the mistake of buying this blindly.
I love it; it’s a sweetness with an orange twist that becomes more citrusy the more you wear it. The opening might feel feminine, but there’s nothing wrong with that. I think it’s a delicious fragrance for summer; I recommend it 100%.
Respect to @Chava, but what a joke to complain it smells like a catalogue; I’ve never smelled one with such a realistic, bright orange note. While there are options like Eau Givree that approach the peel rather than the fruit, that’s why it’s pricey when you already have Neroli Portofino, which is basically a teddy bear at an Amouage price.
Smells like when you’re peeling oranges and mandarins and the scent lingers in the air. After a while, it sweetens and leaves a very pleasant sensation. It smells great, yes. You’ll feel a crush in your perfumery heart. You’ll say, ‘I want this for spring and summer’. And so, like a crush that takes over your heart, it will leave you wanting and disappear. And you’ll go looking for it again but won’t find it. Like when you meet someone at a party, you turn around and they vanish. Arancia di Capri is a gold digger: you’ll have to pay for it (reapply) if you want it to stay with you longer than strictly necessary. But the scent is wonderful.
Exquisite. A citrus delight; I love citrus, and this acid/sweet blend is divine.
I smelled this and it was just an orange; the only difference was that Arancia Di Capri is sweet. It’s okay; if you like the smell of orange, you’ll love it, but to be honest, it doesn’t last very long. What a pity.
It smells very stridently of orange and nothing more; I can’t even smell the ‘caramel’. A cologne with the most acidic part of the orange, which can saturate the olfactory senses due to excess. Lacking differential nuances or expressions of other parts of the orange tree, just the fruit, one that lacks maturity and is still acidic (not sour). Don’t expect orange blossom or neroli, petit grain, or the trunk of the orange tree because there isn’t any. Respecting those who like it, but to me it seems like a somewhat rough creation.
A delicious citrus fragrance where orange and caramel take centre stage. Wonderful for warm to very hot days. The only downside is that it doesn’t last long, so I also recommend applying it to clothes. Excellent for feeling fresh after a shower.
Arancia Di Capri is a perfume that can be summed up as a realistic orange scent with a little caramel that gives it that distinctive sweetness of a natural orange. It’s perfect for summer, but because the citrus notes are more volatile and they are the star of this perfume, its longevity shouldn’t exceed 4 to 5 hours on the skin (and very close to that). If you want to smell practically like orange juice, you’ll have to fork out because you’re going to love it.
Arancia di Capri by Acqua di Parma is a sweet and relaxing citrus fragrance that stands out for its simplicity and quality. Its scent evokes freshly cut orange peel, with a natural sweetness that makes it perfectly unisex. It’s not a complex composition, but it manages to convey freshness and Mediterranean warmth. It’s an easy-to-wear perfume, ideal for warm climates or for those seeking a fresh and pleasant scent for all ages. Although its longevity isn’t outstanding, its projection is moderate and suitable for daily life. It’s perfect for reapplying during the day if you want to keep its freshness. Personal rating: Scent: 9/10 – Fresh, sweet, and high quality. Sillage: 7/10 – Moderate, not invasive. Longevity: 6/10 – Improvable, but acceptable for an Eau de Toilette.
The first time I smelled it in the shop, it repulsed me for being too citrusy, but as hours passed, it left a trail of orange and mandarin with hints of caramel and toffee on my skin that seduced me, and in the end, I bought it. Say it’s a fragrance for heat or intense heat. When you wear it, it’s an explosion of orange and mandarin, and gradually bergamot and lemon notes emerge, leaving at some point a sharp citrus smell that doesn’t last long, returning to the mandarin scent, and finally, after hours, it settles into a pleasant toffee-caramel smell, like Wethers Original, on the skin. The more I’ve worn it, the more I love that pure Italian citrus scent. It transports you to the Italian countryside. Perfect for the day and hot days, or very hot nights. But it’s for all hot hours. A classy fragrance to wear with bermudas or linen. For over 30s. A very rich fragrance where initially your bubble exceeds 1.5 metres, but after 3 hours it stays on the skin, lasting up to 8 hours. Apply it more than 4 sprays if you want to stand out. An Italian summer fragrance with class.
Italian to the max, delicious, very natural citrus; it’s like smelling a freshly squeezed orange, nothing artificial. Ideal for wearing with a white shirt and sunglasses, a perfume delight.
The other reviews didn’t convince me, so here’s my honest take. It starts with a brutal citrus explosion: super fresh orange, lemon, and mandarin, but it fades quickly. Then cardamomo with petit grain takes over, becoming a very elegant and fresh citrus note. Finally, it takes an incredible turn: you can subtly detect the citrus with sweet touches, something rich and peculiar, with fresh, clean, and slightly aquatic vibes. Sophisticated, elegant, different, and with a vintage vibe. It’s balanced because in the end, you’re not just smelling orange; it has its own special, unique touch. It’s ageless and genderless, suitable for any occasion; it’s a perfume that will make a difference. The best citrus fragrance I have right now. I’ll probably buy the other Acqua di Parma ones to try them.
