I wear this with pride, and no one can take it away from me; it gives me the strength to live and fight for who I am. Speaking of Acqua di Parma is speaking of quality, one of Italy’s most traditional houses. Their latest release, Blue Mediterraneo Chinotto di Luguria, begins with the bitterness of chinotto, a peculiar citrus that you almost ‘taste’ instantly. That bitterness blends beautifully with mandarin, creating a well-balanced, addictive sweet bitterness. In the middle, jasmine adds delicacy and feminine touches, though cardamomo gives it a spiced twist that defines it. As it dries down, rosemary with its medicinal note and musk create a solid, pleasant base. Its trail is moderate, lasting about four hours before lingering pleasantly on the skin. In my opinion, it is a high-quality fragrance for informal, relaxed settings; it doesn’t seek attention but accompanies you discreetly like a good friend. Alongside Mirto di Panare, Fico di Amalfi, and Ginepro di Sardegna, it completes a line with nuances for every occasion.
My heart is full of pride, a feeling no one can take away. It gives me strength, makes me want to live and fight for who I am. Talking about Aqva di Parma is talking about quality; as one of the most traditional houses in Italy, their latest release, Blue Mediterraneo, Chinotto di Luguria, opens with the bitterness of chinotto, a peculiar citrus that you almost ‘taste’ at first. That bitterness blends brilliantly with mandarin, creating a sweet, balanced, and addictive bitterness. In the heart, jasmine stands out, delicate and with feminine touches for moments, until cardamomo gives it a spiced air. As it dries, rosemary with its medicinal touch and musk create a solid and pleasant base. Its trail is medium, lasting about four hours before settling on the skin. In my opinion, it’s a high-quality fragrance for informal and relaxed settings, where you don’t need it to be noticeable, but rather like a discreet companion, like a walk with your best friend. Alongside Mirto di Panare, Fico di Amalfi, and Ginepro di Sardegna, Chinotto di Luguria completes a line with nuances for every occasion.
At times, it smells like an updated version of Diorella.
Not for me. It looks like a normal cologne with an exaggerated price. It’s a soft, light EDT with simple ingredients at perfume prices. The scent is citrusy, fresh with a slight marine touch. I’m not into this type of fragrance, plus it lasts only half an hour on my skin. It smells good, but offers nothing you can’t get for a quarter of the price. Next! It’s not for me. It seems like a regular cologne with an outrageous price tag. It’s a soft, light EDT with simple ingredients at perfume prices. The scent is citrusy, very fresh, with a marine touch. I’m not a huge fan of this type of fragrance, but this one barely lasts half an hour on my skin. Does it smell bad? No… but it simply offers nothing you can’t get for a quarter of the price… Next! A vibe similar to mixing Cool Water and Dior Eau Sauvage Citra: earthy, sharp, floral, marine and with bitter orange peel. The first three hours leave an interesting trail; afterwards it clings more to clothes and skin without projecting much. Reapply twice a day if you want to smell good. To give a real opinion, you need to test it on skin – many give strange reviews without ever smelling it. One spray and the quality is overwhelming: potent chinotto (a fruit like tangerine but more bitter), orange blossom flowers, resinous peel and incredible earthy notes. Then it shifts to floral and herbaceous with jasmine and patchouli that add power. It lasts many hours on skin. Nothing like Tom Ford Mandarino Amalfi.
A super feminine fragrance. I tested it today and it’s nothing for a man; on a woman, it’s luxurious. Medium longevity, but the quality is excellent and natural.
It’s a super feminine fragrance. I tried it today and it simply doesn’t suit a man; on a woman, it’s pure luxury. The longevity is average, but the quality is excellent and very natural.
If you’re looking for projection and a standout scent, this isn’t it. The opening is pleasant and not annoying, but the dry-down has something I don’t quite like. I don’t detect patchouli; it’s subtle with lemon notes. Given the price and weak projection, I wouldn’t recommend buying blindly – I might give it another try in winter.
If you like fragrances with projection that stand out, this isn’t it. Buying blind and it still doesn’t fully enchant me (I’ll give it another chance in winter). My opinion leans more towards the price and its lack of projection. While it’s a scent that doesn’t bother and has good initial diffusion, there’s something in its dry-down that doesn’t quite appeal to me. On the other hand, I don’t detect the patchouli at all, so it’s not overpowering. A faint aroma with bursts of lemon. I wouldn’t recommend buying it blind.
Chinotto di Liguria delivers perfectly for summer: fresh, citrusy and sparkling, with a top-note blend of chinotto and tangerine. The jasmine, cardamom and musk keep the fragrance going all day. On skin it lasts around 6-7 hours and projects strongly for the first two.
Chinotto di Liguria lives up to its summer identity: fresh, sparkling citrus with plenty of chinotto and tangerine in the opening. Jasmine, cardamom and musk hold the fragrance together. It lasts about 6–7 hours on skin and projects well for the first two hours.
