  • Few fragrances make me want to wear them all the time. The bay and marine notes make you feel like you’re walking along the Mediterranean coastal road with the breeze. It has medium-to-high trail and over 5 hours of longevity, a winner for spring/summer. It highlights the naturalness of the ingredients. The only downside is the price, which is difficult when the economy is tight. I used the gel/cologne combo and the longevity was greatly enhanced.

Mediterranean and Italian fragrances always put me in a good mood, especially the citrus ones. This one is from the Bleu Mediterraneo line, softer than others. It smells like an orchard of citrus fruits with herbs and marine notes that remind me of the coast. It is undoubtedly daytime and gives energy to the day. Longevity is average, around 6 or 7 hours, without much trail. The ingredients are of good quality, but I do not understand why they are so expensive; perhaps they sell their prestige dear. If you like the Italian style, it is a good option.

It invites a subtle summer, enjoying the sun and sea breezes. It is revitalising, slightly sharp at first but settles quickly leaving great comfort. Very aromatic, spicy, acidic and elegant. It invites you to relax and is totally unisex. There are perfumes that enhance the atmosphere, and this is one of them; enjoying it by the water at night is magical. I love wearing it with the Eau de Lancaster cream.

  • It’s a citrus and myrtle bath, like a walk by the seaside. Super fresh, smells like just out of the shower. At first it’s a bit sharp, but the intensity drops and the projection is moderate. Perfect for summer, 100%.

I can’t stand pure citrus scents; they suffocate me. I prefer when citrus is blended with something herbaceous or woody, like this one. The blue bottle is lovely and the liquid intriguing. It opens with a realistic myrtle note—rough yet sweet, reminiscent of crumbled tea—a fresh, narcotic opening. Then a floral edge emerges, smelling of fabric softener, which I’m not fond of. But the dry down is gold: a baby-skin herbal tone, sweet, green, woody, and pistachio-like thanks to cedar, amber, and lentiscus. It’s like a chubby child taking big bites. A well-crafted, herbaceous scent with measured sweetness, though the brand charges too much. PS: The marine accord in the heart gives it a cheap bottle-note that undermines everything.

Mirto di Panarea is a scent that makes me happy. I’ve tried a few from the Blu Mediterraneo line and ultimately they are good, but this is my favourite both for aroma and performance (moderate). It opens with slightly sharp but very natural citrus, highlighting the lemon more than I expected. Within minutes, the myrtle takes centre stage; personally, I’m not sure what myrtle smells like (myrtus communis in my country), but I sense a green note that, in my opinion, reminds me of a lemon tree or its leaves. Again, I emphasise the high quality of the ingredients; this phase is my favourite. After a while, the myrtle becomes less prominent, giving way to very faint jasmine and rose that, combined with the marine notes, add a slightly soapy tint, which isn’t bad but seems less interesting to me. Like @Espartaco, after about 4-5 hours, the myrtle reappears slightly, and together with the base notes, it creates that perception of a very tender scent; I’m not sure if it smells like a baby, but it relaxes me considerably, something hard to explain but which I greatly appreciate.

It makes me happy. I’ve tried several from the Blu Mediterraneo line, and this is my favourite for its scent and performance (moderate). It opens with sharp yet natural citrus, highlighting the lemon. Within minutes, the myrtle takes over; I detect a green note reminiscent of lemon leaves. This phase is my favourite. Then the myrtle yields to a faint jasmine and rose, mingling with the marine notes to give it a soapy tinge that isn’t bad but less interesting. After 4-5 hours, the myrtle reappears slightly, and with the base notes, it creates a very tender, baby-like scent that relaxes me considerably.

  • It smells wonderful, but I wouldn’t pay the asking price for it; they’ve lost their touch.

  • My first Acqua di Parma. Having tried only a few fragrances from this house and after reading various reviews, I decided to buy it blind with a successful result. It opens slightly sharp, as others say, but these are very natural citrus notes that settle within minutes, revealing a citrus-floral accord with hyper-realistic herbal notes and oceanic touches. It has a soapy character that, combined with the quality of the oils, makes you feel clean and fresh, especially in the heart. It projects well at the start, though most of the trail stays within a metre, gradually shortening until after the first hour when it clings to the skin. While it doesn’t project much from this point onwards, it still leaves a subtly perceptible trail for another two hours. By the fifth hour, it’s practically imperceptible. This is on very dry skin and a cold day. Longevity isn’t its strong suit, but it’s not bad when compared to others in the style. For instance, in my case, it lasts longer than Colonia Assoluta. The bottle is quite pretty, especially due to the colour and simplicity of its shapes. The sprayer is standard and the materials are plastic and glass; there are no magnets or metals. In summary: a very beautiful and natural fragrance; fresh, relaxing, summery, daytime, soapy, timeless. Performance could be better. Exorbitant price. 150ml.

  • I can’t think of a better opening with a worse dry-down. The start is gorgeous, full of citrus and herbs, but I reckon it doesn’t last even half an hour before the dry-down becomes almost imperceptible to me. A very faint marine note, like ambroxan with lentiscus and cedar, but extremely, extremely weak.

  • A perfume I absolutely loved for daytime wear; super fresh and very natural. The longevity is good and it’s not overpowering. It feels more citrus than floral, making it perfect for hot days.

  • I owned it before and it lasted quite well, unfortunately I don’t remember the batch. I’ve just bought another bottle (batch 2030x) and the performance is TERRIBLE. As someone else mentioned below, it doesn’t last me even thirty minutes.

  • A two-part review of Acqua di Parma Mirto di Panarea. Part one: it’s a 2ml decant I ordered to try the famous Italian house. I applied it to my wrist and didn’t like it at all; ten minutes later I had to wash my hand because it smelled of broom. Yes, natural broom, as if I were with my grandparents in Extremadura. However, this has happened to me more than once, so I gave it a second chance. This time I waited twenty minutes and the myrtle scent, which to me smells like field broom, gradually faded to reveal a very good citrus floral note. I thought it was just a good cologne, more suitable for summer due to its freshness. Yes, the longevity is poor for an Acqua di Parma, about two hours. Now, being a decant in plastic, I imagine it shows, but I liked it. The dry-down is excellent for testing before buying.

  • A rich, fresh, and summery fragrance, not overly citrusy and slightly sweet. Suitable only for daytime use, at work or on holiday, as its short sillage won’t bother sensitive noses. Better to use a decant for reapplication as it didn’t last more than three hours on my skin. Poor value for money, but compared to other designer brands costing the same or more, it might be worth it.

  • Demachy knows how to craft fresh, wearable fragrances without being boring; they add style. This one is fresh, woody, and smells very natural, like real essences. The myrtle is aromatic; its hard, prickly leaves remind me of dry wood left in the sun. They’ve achieved a refreshing unisex aroma with Mediterranean woody notes. The downside is the performance is poor, but it smells great and gives you energy. Ideal for lovers of fresh Mediterranean scents. A classic combination: citrus with soft woods. It has style.

  • Smells of myrtle, that distinctive scent that gives identity to the base of Acqua di Parma and rounds everything off. It’s a top pick for hot days as it’s not intrusive, though I don’t see it for evening wear.

  • Snipermexik

On my nose it smells a bit retro from the 80s and 90s, like those old hand creams from aunties or grandmothers. NOTE, it doesn’t smell bad, on the contrary, it smells good, but it’s a retro hit. I can detect 4 notes in the opening: the citrus are noticeable and the greenness of the basil, although I think the basil pops a bit and disappears after 20 minutes, afterwards it’s devoured by the white flower notes of myrtle and roses. On my skin it lasts 2 to 4 hours.

  • SirCharlie

Mirto di Panarea very clean and soapy to the point that when I first met it I thought it was excessive, but my opinion has been improving little by little. The opening is citrusy, herbal, marine and with an ultra-sharp myrtle that, as mentioned below, has a metallic tint and which with the marine note becomes heavy at times. In the dry down the citrus part disappears, the herbal notes drop and the soapy aspect takes on a more floral look, becoming more bearable, always neat and of quality. I highlight about this perfume, without it being my favourite from the line, that it evolves quite a bit and is super original. The only perfume that resembles it from what I know is Osaito by Micaleff, which I like more. However, I think it’s one of those you have to try if you like fresh, marine and clean scents. Finally, I see it as unisex, for heat, all kinds of situations and with quite good performance. Rating: 7/10.

  • I couldn’t like it more. Fresh, clean, carefree, completely unisex… it smells as if you were permanently just out of the shower. Besides, it has my favourite notes: bergamot, roses, musk and amber. The only thing I dislike is its longevity, which doesn’t go beyond 4 hours, and its poor sillage. To give it more strength, I combined it with body milk. For me, who lives right by the Mediterranean sea, it’s like having the whole sea in a bottle because of what it evokes.

  • I went to the perfumerie to see if they had testers for Quercia to try it again; as there weren’t any, I tried ‘Mirto di Panarea’ and instantly thought: ‘oh, but this smells like Part Time Hero by El Ganso’. No doubt Aqua di Parma was the first, but if you like that volatile clean scent (almost detergent-like) combined with rose, buy the one by El Ganso for a fifth of the price; I doubt you’ll notice the difference and besides, it lasts longer.

  • What a delicious fragrance to the nose, it’s like a refreshing breeze that fills you with happiness. If you want to lift your spirits, just put a little on. That said, it doesn’t have much sillage, it’s discreet. Perfect for summer.

  • Santiago1213

Very nice scent, but bad luck for me as it smells exactly like Part Time Hero by El Ganso and I already have it. If you don’t want to spend much, I think the one by El Ganso is a good option: it smells like lemon with sugar, very simple and easy to wear.

  • It gives the sensation of having just stepped out of the bath; it’s fresh, citrusy, totally unisex and very easy to wear. When I smell it, I imagine walking early along a path with citrus trees before dawn, where the wind carries those notes and in the background the sea with its salty breeze. I agree it’s perfect for spring, but I also love the freshness in cold climates. Simply beautiful to smell.

  • ACQUA DI PARMA BLUE MEDITERRANEO MIRTO DI PANAREA: It’s like a refreshing, bubbling wave on the beach, with that white foam dispersing into the sand while the breeze brings freshness. It’s a light, crystal-clear and luminous fragrance that projects tranquility and well-being, as if you were carrying a sunny day with a blue sky and endless white clouds. Its natural essence is amazing, full of flora and fauna, and seems to breathe on its own. I loved it. Perfectly unisex. Scent: 10. Projection: average, 2 hours. Longevity: between 6 and 8 hours. Recommended.

  • A refreshing, bubbling, sparkling and luminous scent. Like the white foam of a wave on the beach dispersing on the sand while the breeze unfolds freshness. A light, crystal-clear fragrance that shows the movement of the sea and projects tranquility. Wearing it is like carrying good weather: sunny days, blue skies and eternal freshness. Its natural architecture is amazing, charming and brimming with flora and fauna. It seems to breathe on its own. I really liked it. Perfectly unisex. Scent: 10. Projection: average, 2 hours. Longevity: between 6 and 8 hours. Recommended.

  • A fresh, sparkling scent that makes you want to smile. It starts with a burst of lemon that fades quickly, while the other notes come out very quietly. Unfortunately, on my skin it doesn’t last more than an hour and is barely noticeable. For the price, Part Time Hero by El Ganso gives the same feeling of cleanliness and freshness but lasts longer and costs less.

  • nataliedrm

Smells super citrusy and fresh, almost like a cologne; the intensity is so much it even tickles my nose.

  • Carcanuelo

A fresh fragrance, an acceptable aromatic citrus even if you’re not a huge fan of citrus, with a very present myrtle of that herbaceous and white-flower, Mediterranean kind, accompanied by fresh basil and an aquatic touch. This myrtle, whose ‘steroid’ version we know from the magnificent Acqua di Sale by Profumum Roma, is very easy to wear, relaxing, clean, and not soapy, with good sillage and aromatic quality. An aroma that may seem unobtrusive or non-disruptive at first, but with wear and development, it demonstrates its personality and appeal. Although its freshness makes it perfectly wearable by both sexes, I believe this aromatic character leans slightly towards the masculine. For spring and especially summer, for everyday wear. With four hours of longevity but perceived well at short and medium distances. It will enchant some and leave others indifferent, but it won’t disgust anyone. That said, it has its own personality that sets it apart from classic summer colognes, and its aromatic quality is unquestionable.

  • They let me try a decant at El Corte Inglés, and I loved its fresh, citrusy opening, but it quickly transforms into a rather generic floral-herbaceous scent, one of those you think ‘I’ve heard this before’ and leaves you indifferent. It reminded me a lot of certain pet care products (shampoos and colognes), though it could also recall home air freshener.

  • This is another level. If you’re looking for trails, sweet, and artificial scents, this isn’t for you; this is enjoyed with every breath, transmitting calm and inner peace. I smell it more floral than citrus; a true masterpiece.

  • A fragrance of exceptional material quality. It features a clean, non-invasive citrus opening that gives the impression of a refreshing soap, developing later into a floral aroma. It’s ideal for summer, though it’s worth noting that longevity rarely exceeds five hours on the skin, so you’ll need to reapply.

  • Mathias Ferreira

I own both this and the Cypress from Acqua di Parma, and specifically, this one stands out for one thing: its softness and cleanliness. It’s a scent you want to wear all day. If it were a feeling, it would convey serenity. It’s a fragrance that, for me, has neither gender nor age and could not be better. I recommend buying refills because, if you want to stay fresh, you’ll need to reapply. 10/10.

  • What more can I say about Mirto di Panarea that hasn’t already been said in this wonderful forum? I tried it at El Corte Inglés a year ago, and out of the entire Blu Mediterraneo line, it was the one that amazed me the most. The standout feature here is the SIGILO: it’s a personal, intimate fragrance, something you wear to surround yourself with close people. If your style is to flood the streets with your scent, look elsewhere. But if you’re the type who usually wears linen, this could be a great complement to your wardrobe. What a fragrance! That peculiar myrtle note is certainly one of the reasons you become a perfume lover in general. I’d give it 9.5; I’m not giving it a 10 purely out of personal discretion.

  • Emilio E.M.G.

The myrtle gives this cologne a fantastic touch of elegance. I’ve worn it a lot this summer as it’s very pleasant, but I don’t think I’ll buy it again; I feel the price is excessive for the longevity it offers (2-3 hours on my skin).

  • A delicious fragrance that evolves beautifully and is simply a pleasure. It’s absolutely worth it. With this, I’ve been able to experience the quality ADP always boasts about, and it’s stunning.

  • MatiasMarkic

Snagged it at designer pricing for the 180ml and, truth be told, I’ve put it through its paces. It’s a lovely, distinctive scent that doesn’t shout but is always present. I reapply after four hours and it works wonders.
