Descripción
Creatively Shanghai by Zara is an aromatic woody fragrance designed for men and women. Launched in 2021, this olfactory composition was created by nose Jo Malone. The top note presents the freshness of mandarin, giving way to a spiced heart of cardamom, while the base settles on the warmth and elegance of cedar.

A wonderful citrus scent to combat the heat: creamy yet super refreshing. It’s a sweet tangerine with a mischievous and vital touch, perfect for starting the day and also for summer nights. Unisex to my taste and with an incredible quality-price ratio.
Very fresh and sparkling, especially at first. I tried it in autumn, we’ll see how it goes in summer. I consider it unisex and very different from other citrus scents out there.
Smells like pure tangerine. On my skin, it lasts all day; eventually, it gets a bit tiring, but it’s worth it. Makes me want to wear it for Día de Muertos in Mexico, hehe.
Fresh and vital citrus, the tangerine takes the lead. If you like it, buy without hesitation; if not, run, it’s like wearing tangerines hanging from your neck. Acidic, ideal for summer. On my dry skin, it lasts over 7 hours without reapplication, potent and at a low price. Be careful with the sprays! Jo Malone with Zara has done a good job.
Stunning, but watch out: it’s full-on tangerine. It projects and lasts, so don’t overdo the sprays or it will overwhelm you.
It’s a good quality perfume with a mandarin scent (both the peel and the juice). After a couple of hours, a very, very light spiced note is added, which perhaps is there all the time but I don’t perceive it until quite a while later. It’s good for wearing on its own, but if you like layering and the mandarin scent, it will be one of the essentials. The scent lasts quite a while. It doesn’t have a very wide trail. Excellent perfume.
I love this fragrance; it’s a different scent from the rest of the citrus ones, a ball of compliments. It’s an aroma where the mandarin mixed with cedar gives such a rich touch that you can’t stop smelling it. I have several from the Zara collection alongside Jo Malone, and the truth is Vibrant Cities are exquisite. I want to buy the whole collection.
Blessed are the trials that prevent disastrous blind buys. It seems like a radioactive, shrill, mega-linear mandarin… sometimes it can deceive you and seem natural… but no, hehe.
I love it, it smells different from other citrus scents, it’s a ball of compliments. The tangerine with cedar gives a delicious touch that just keeps smelling good. I have several from the Zara collection alongside Jo Malone, and the truth is that the Vibrant Cities are exquisite. I want to buy the complete collection.
A citrus aroma where the star note is clearly the mandarin, but it has such a sharp acidic point on my skin, especially in the opening, that it suggests I’m also wearing something of lemon or even grapefruit. After about 30 minutes, that more ‘stinging’ aspect subsides and it becomes a purely citrusy scent but slightly sweetened. The woody base of the perfume and that spiced touch of cardamom that gives it a bit of character start to become perceptible. The dry-down is very well balanced in my opinion. Fresh, sparkling, refreshing. 100% unisex. Ideal for hot days, although it could really be worn all year round. Performance is very good for this olfactive family, with moderate projection for the first 2-3 hours and a total duration of 6-8 hours, depending on the day, with the last notes closer to the skin. I can’t find a clear similarity with any other perfume I know. I picked up a small roll-on at a bargain price because although I’m not much of a citrus fan, I find this perfume very pleasant and think I’ll be able to enjoy it quite a bit from time to time. If you like citrus aromas, I think you must try it for the quality/price ratio.
I regret not buying the large version 🙁
A citrus scent where the tangerine reigns, but with an acidic twist on my skin that reminds me of lemon or grapefruit. After 30 minutes, that sharpness fades and it becomes a sweet citrus. You can already notice the woody base and cardamom giving it character. The dry-down is very well balanced: fresh, sparkling, and refreshing. 100% unisex, ideal for heat but suitable all year round. Good performance, moderate projection at first and 6-8 hours in total. I can’t find anything similar to it. I got a cheap roll-on because, although I’m not much of a citrus fan, I love it and will use it from time to time. If you like citrus, by price and quality it’s a must-try.
This is a fragrance designed by Jo Malone and, like almost all of them, it’s an exquisite treat 🤩 It’s a perfume you’re going to fall in love with. For me, it’s unisex, a fruity citrus aroma ideal for mornings and evenings.
I’m obsessed with this perfume for one very specific reason: after a very potent opening of cardamom, the scent settles into a synthetic mandarin. The perfume itself is very linear (only in its late dry-down does a woody note become noticeable), with a very weak projection that doesn’t last long unless you overapply. In that case, it lasts about 4 hours, releasing citrus blasts. It’s a youthful and feminine fragrance, perfect for informal summer days. Despite it not being my usual style, it was a pleasant surprise. The first day I tried it, it brought back memories of my childhood, but I couldn’t recall what they were. After wearing it for a few days, I realised that Creatively Shanghai smells just like the little orange-shaped erasers that, despite not serving their purpose, were super chewy and left my case smelling delicious. Pleasant: 7/10 Interesting: 6/10 Versatile: 6/10 Original: 6/10
A fragrance where the citrus notes shine, with a touch of incense from start to finish in my opinion. Unisex, leaning towards masculine, excellent scent.
Green mandarin for hot days
Bring it back, Zara! I need to smell freshly squeezed orange in the summer again. It lasts a mere breath, like all citrus scents, but it smells so good… They’ve just launched a new Jo Malone collection and they haven’t even dignified it with a mention. Pedro Sánchez, please, force Amancio Ortega to bring it back.
