Smells of benzoin and roses, too much benzoin and roses… It’s not for seduction as Rossy de Palma says; it smells more like ointment and medicine. I let it macerate and now it has a soft talc-like dry-down with lots of rose… it’s the strangest perfume I own!
A rose so fierce and aggressive it brushes against a petrol station. Terrifying; I’ve heard very few things like this in florals. The sparkling dew with ginger and orange that we should imagine between the petals is, in reality, droplets of petrol threatening to ignite. It’s so dense it forms a compact paste like plasticine paint. A tessellation of corollas that leaves no room for air, like in a refinery tank. If you want a rose-patchouli that grips like the queen of ticks, Eau de Protection is your perfume. But beware, with the potency come the hydrocarbons. A less powerful but more pleasant version is Zara’s Fleur de Patchouli.
Smells like tons of rose and patchouli in equal parts, with a hint of ginger, as if they’ve been ground together in a mortar almost like an ointment. It’s very potent; I’m not sure if I like it or not, maybe I do… but I’d never buy it myself.
A super inoffensive rose, very much in the classic Narciso Rodríguez style. Rose and musk with little patchouli. The remaining notes form an opening accord that fades into a ‘seen and not seen’ vibe, so I don’t really take them into account. Lasts a very long time, practically eternal if you rub it on your clothes. I was expecting something more challenging. It’s the kind of perfume I wouldn’t buy myself, but if someone gifted it to me, I’d wear it without any issues.
Nothing unusual, it comes out fresh and sparkling, very unisex. As it dries, the rose takes over, musky and slightly woody, but ultimately it’s a girly rose scent, nothing original.
