A very well-crafted oil; the notes are crystal clear at first, but the roses and metallic tones fail to blend for me. Sometimes I feel like I’m wearing several fragrances at once.
It opens with spectacular, super-pure, intense dry red roses. Then come the metals, amber, and a subtle incense. The trail on my nose reminds me of adult skin, even that natural armpit sweat after hours without showering – nothing foul, just bewildering. I’ll try it on an expert friend to see if it’s just my nose. The longevity is brutal and the sillage moderate after two hours. I see it as totally unisex, perfect for cold weather, day or night.
