The band’s rough image and the perfume’s name are sure to give me goosebumps. A fragrance called Cocaine? I spray it four times on my wrists and neck. Instantly, I find it intriguing, significantly different, and superior to the rest of the cheap synthetics on the market. The opening note is quite spicy… just as you’d imagine when taking a line of coke, and true to form, it seems to recreate for a moment that sensation of fresh, raw cocaine. But not the jet-set kind; rather, the gritty, low-quality stuff, pushing the limits of pain, soaked in stories of tears and sweat. Honest cocaine. The concept is interesting, quite discreet yet perceptible for several hours, a blend of clinical, synthetic, dusty notes with a good leather accord, slightly sweet and featuring a quite prominent iris. The DNA of this scent is similar in its evolution (with due proportions, of course) to Tuscan Leather by Tom Ford, less intense and more refined, making it interesting and better than I expected. A journey through the rough neighbourhoods of a great city in the future, searching for someone you love who has gone missing, paying extreme attention to avoid following the same path.

As a huge fan of the band, I’m dying to try this fragrance, but it’s heartbreaking to think it might never reach my country.
